"I think that's a good idea, do you guys agree?"
“Mmm…of course, why not?”
There was no objection from the party members, and everyone agreed. From the beginning, Archie was just a spectator in the back, with Layla casting support spells, while the other three adventurers were in the front row, slaying monsters.
Unlike the three adventurers, who wore complete equipment such as armor and weapons, Archie and Layla only wore makeshift equipment. They didn't have any prior preparations, so they used equipment that could be bought in Craydon city.
"I have a suggestion," Kane chimed in. "In order to save time, it is better for the three of you to proceed to the left side first, let me and the kid unlock the secret room on the right side."
"That's right, it's possible that there are other parties that can precede us, right?"
“Mmm…after all the monsters int the early stage are only blue-level, Kane alone is enough, right?”
Without Layla's or Archie's approval involved, the three adventurers suddenly made up their minds. Layla still showed a bit of disapproval, but the three adventurers were so good at persuading her that she agreed.
The current dungeon has a natural state, like a cave. The monsters in it are blue-level and above. Kane seemed to be fine with scorching the monsters. He took advantage of his class skills to attack.
“[Hiding],” Kane's figure disappeared and merged with the surrounding rocks and soil composition. Slowly, he moved his foot closer to a goblin and struck its nape, “[Stab].”
Archie and Kane continued exploring. While they were alone, Archie decided to ask, "I didn't read any information about a secret room over here."
"Relax, I'm a purplecaste, I've explored this dungeon several times and know the secrets in it," explained Kane casually. "Did you see that?"
They arrived at an intersection. Four goblins spawn in a dead-end track.
“In dungeons, there are many mysteries and secrets, as well as rewards. Well, information like that is scattered in dungeons. For someone who has done frequent exploration, their eyes will get used to it," explained Kane again.
“[Hiding].” Same skill, Kane approaches the goblin horde and throws a rock towards the other side of their path with his skill, “[Throwing Stone].”
The goblins who heard the sound turned their attention and approached the intersection.
As the goblins walked past, Kane launched his attacks, still enveloped in [Hiding] skill.
“[Stab],” The first skill killed the backmost goblin, then he threw his two daggers, “[Throwing Knife],” which also immediately scorched the next two goblins.
“[Back Sliding], [Stab],” Kane muttered as he finished off the last goblin.
"You can get out, kid," he continued to Archie.
Archie observed a Thief class’ moves, analyzed them, and judged whether he should learn the skills, but he couldn't decide that right away. Considering the limited skills one could have, it was better to think deeper.
“What I just did was carry out a killing order, that is, kill monsters in succession. The order can go through many things, such as monster grade, type, formation and so on," explained Kane.
They were nearing the end of the path, where there was only a wall of dirt and rocks.
It's worth mentioning a secret passage; as Kane was arranging the surrounding rocks, a gap appeared in the side of the wall and revealed another path.
“This is an empty room, right?”
"Yeah, at first I also thought like that," Kane replied spitefully.
Archie walked through the gap and had to tilt his body to get inside. Not much different from the dead-end path, only a tiny room that practically has nothing.
“This is a bait room, when someone goes inside and their partner closes the gap of this secret path, dozens of monsters will spawn around you, then this secret passage will trigger the mechanism and increase the spawn rate of monsters randomly throughout the dungeon.”
While explaining plainly, Kane was still squatting by the rocks outside the secret room. He was still playing with the rocks like when he opened the secret passage.
"So, good luck trying to survive, brat," Kane said with a satisfied grin.
For the second time, the ground shook, and the secret gap closed again—leaving Archie alone in it.
No need to wait long, one by one, spawn monsters appear and surround Archie.
“You idiot, I couldn't believe you were so easily fooled…um…what's your name again? Ah~ its pointless.” Kane chuckled and walked away.
As an experienced Thief, Kane already has a lot of knowledge about the dungeon they are exploring. One day, he and his comrades stumbled across the previously empty room, and thanks to that, they triggered the dungeon mechanism and increased the number of spawn monsters.
At that time, he and his comrades managed to survive and never again repeat the same mistake of luring the secret room. In a particular case, this time, they deliberately provoked the room to separate and lock up Archie. Their target from the start was—Layla.
“Hahaha, I can't wait to flirt around with that girl. Even after we played with her, I could make her rare class to our advantage. At least I can guarantee my Redcaste grade,” Kane muttered.
When he returned and tried to catch up with his comrades, the path that had been relatively quiet without many monsters spawns now had several spawn creatures blocking his way back.
“Ah~ this is troublesome, [Hiding].”
One of the Thief’s class's skills, [Hiding], could hide the person's presence from the surrounding monsters, but this skill wouldn’t be practical when used around high-level monsters.
Not only in that area, monster spawns are increasing, but also in the path that Kane's other comrades are currently traversing. Layla immediately felt the strangeness, but Daniel was already guarding her against the back.
"Don't worry, I'll watch over your back," Daniel said.
Cody, who was in the forefront, smiled when he heard Daniel's words as if welcoming the success of their plan. Thanks to their partner's greed, the two of them had already been caught in the same trap before, but it was profitable now. Because they already knew the safe areas in the dungeon to hide in and the shortest way out.

Archie awoke to a peculiar and unfamiliar dream, disorientated by the commotion outside. Looking around, he struggled to grasp his surroundings and the situation at hand.Gradually, he realised he was lying on a bed of soft grass, when suddenly a loud noise shattered the silence. It was the voices of the people who had just emerged victorious against three raging demons. He gingerly touched his temple, feeling the tender wound. While he couldn't recall much from the dream, he sensed it had been unnervingly vivid and had left him anxious.Getting up, Archie surveyed his surroundings, taking in the warriors' smiling faces and cheerful chatter. They wore expressions of fulfilment after their triumph over the demons. Archie was relieved to still be alive but overwhelmed by the reality of the situation.
Ch. XVIII: Singularity
As the group entered the city, they saw that chaos had already begun to unfold. Buildings were on fire, people were screaming and running for their lives, and there were strange creatures roaming the streets. Akhem and Harlequin seemed pleased with the destruction they had caused, but Archie felt a pit in his stomach."What have you done?" he asked, looking at them with horror."We have done what needed to be done," replied Harlequin. "We are bringing change to this world, and sometimes that requires sacrifice."Archie shook his head, unable to comprehend the cruelty of their actions. "This isn't change, it's destruction. Innocent people are dying because of your actions."Akhem chuckled. "Innocent? There is no such thing as innocence in this world. Everyone is guilty of
Ch. XVIII: Eccentricity
As the group made their way through the desert, Archie couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about the situation. The sandstorm had died down, but the air was still thick with dust and it was difficult to see more than a few feet in front of them. Akhem and Harlequin led the way, with Archie following closely behind.Suddenly, Akhem stopped in his tracks, causing Harlequin to bump into him from behind. Archie almost ran into Harlequin as well, but managed to stop just in time. "What's going on?" he asked, confused.Akhem turned to face them, his eyes scanning the horizon. "We're being followed," he said in a low voice."Followed? By who?" asked Harlequin, also looking around."I don't know yet. But we need to keep moving and be cautious," replied Akhem.
Ch. XVIII: Peculiarity
Harlequin and Akhem exchanged glances before turning back to Archie, who was still trying to process the information. "We don't expect you to make a decision right now," said Harlequin. "We understand that this is a lot to take in. But we hope that you'll consider it and join us in our cause."Archie remained silent, unsure of what to say. He had always thought of himself as an ordinary person, not someone with the power to change the world. The idea of possessing a grimoire and using it to achieve such a goal was overwhelming. After a few moments of contemplation, Archie spoke up. "I need some time to think about this. It's a big decision, and I can't just jump into it without knowing all the facts.""Of course," said Akhem. "Take all the time you need. But keep in mind that the longer we wait, the more difficult i

But I promise you, things are about to change."The man's words were met with mixed reactions from the crowd. Some cheered, while others remained skeptical.Akhem turned to Archie and Harlequin. "That man is dangerous. He's using the people's fear and frustration to gain power."<
Ch. XVIII: The Sudden Oddity
As Archie continued to train with Harlequin and Akhem, he began to notice their growing obsession with the idea of changing the world. At first, he didn't think much of it, but as their training progressed, he couldn't ignore the darker undertones in their conversations. One day, while they were resting after a training session, Archie brought up his concerns to Harlequin and Akhem."Guys, I have to be honest with you. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this idea of changing the world. What if we cause more harm than good?" Archie asked.Harlequin and Akhem exchanged a quick glance before turning back to Archie."Archie, we understand your concern, but the world as it is now is flawed. We have the power to change that, to make it a better place for everyone. Don't you wan
