Chapter 14

It was 5 pm on the dot when Amelia stepped out of her room. She was wearing a black skirt suit with a former business blouse, black pantyhose, and close-toed leather heels. A pink ribbon was loosely tied on her neck and her curled hairs were bundled together. That said, she exhaled and started walking towards the exit door.

"You wore the best clothes you had in your wardrobe just to go sign a contract? Well, you better enjoy it now that you have the possibility to do so, I don't think it going to last for long." Elsy stood in her way, blocking the door. She was holding a bottle of wine in her hands and she sounded tipsy.

Amelia played deaf ears and continued walking till she was finally in front of her, "Can you liberate the way? I'm already late for this meeting." She said glaring at her Rolex wristwatch.

"I know what you and your stupid husband did. You paid the CEO, right? Or better still, you had a one-night stand with him." Elsy said before sipping from the bottle she had in hand.
