Meanwhile in the heavy armour-plated Mercedes Benz sat Betty Thomas and Jack Adams.
“So how is your little brother?”
“I hope the both of you got home safely after those men were taken care of?” Jack asked, sipping the champagne he had been offered.
“Yes, we got home safely, all thanks to you.” Emilia Williams said as she held out her hand and poked Jack Adams on his muscles.
“I'm really glad I could help the both of you that night.”
“Lord Lucas and his goons from the Red Orb group have been running this part of the city for a long time but sadly his reign of terror is almost about to end.”
“I can see that already, so back to why Mr Lee sent me to you.”
“You see Lady Beatrice Williams is my grandmother and she has this odd disease which has rejected all forms of medication.”
“Even the medications of Doctor Chong.”
Jack Adams immediately stopped drinking his champagne and stared askance at Emilia Williams.
“Did you just say, Doctor…Chong?” He asked, his face etched in shock and bewilderment.
“Yes, I just said…Doctor Chong, is there a problem with that?” Emilia asked, her gaze reeking with curiosity.
“How long has Doctor Chong been treating your grandmother?”
“Excuse me?!” Emilia Williams replied in shock.
“What I mean is how long has Doctor Chong been treating Lady Beatrice Williams, your grandmother?”
“Not for a very long time and why all these questions?”
“Have you in any way met this man or do you know him in any way?”
“Not at all, Ms Emilia, it's just the name just reminded me of someone, never mind Just tell me more about this strange illness of Lady Beatrice Williams.” Jack Adams said, taking another sip of his wine.
“I don't know much about this illness but I think it has a virus origin…at least that is what the doctors back at home said.”
The conversation continued and moments later, the convoy stopped at the gate and they entered into the Williams family mansion.
“Right this way, Mr Jack!”
“I just hope we are not too late for grandma's sake.” Emilia Williams said as she led the way.
The Williams family were so wealthy that they had their own family-personalised hospital inside their mansion.
“Hi Lord Williams, we are finally here,” Emilia said as she opened the last door and walked into the ward filled with doctors and nurses running around.
“Emilia, what the heck kept you so long?”
“Do you know what might have happened to your grandmother all this while since you and Mr Thwane were gone?”
“Did you find the man Mr Lee sent you to find?”
“Yes Grandpa, and he is even the man who saved us from the hands of the goons of Lord Lucas some days ago,” Emilia said, smiling as she pushed Jack Adams forward.
“Lord Williams, it's an honour to meet you.”
“Wait a minute, do I know you from anywhere before?” Lord Williams asked as he stared at a mark on Jack Adam's neck.
“I don't think so sir, I haven't met you before, can we please go over what happened to Lady Beatrice Williams?”
“Of course! But…before we proceed can I please see your medical license?”
“It's standard procedure if I'm to even allow you Lady Beatrice Williams.”
“Umh…I don't have any of those Lord Williams, but I assure you that I will try my best to see that Lady Beatrice is treated.”
“Liar!”
“Lord Williams, this guy is a fake doctor!”
“How can you even think of replacing us with someone you just found on the streets?!” Doctor Carlos, one of the doctors treating Lady Beatrice Williams immediately interjected.
“He is definitely quake! what kind of doctor goes to even treat a patient without his medical license?!” another doctor added from behind him.
“At least he isn't the one who has made my grandmother's health condition even more critical!”
“He was recommended by Mr Lee, the powerful and influential President of Titanium Valley Group.”
“Lord Williams, I really believe Mr Lee's words, if he says Jack Adams can fix grandma, why don't we give him a try?” Emilia said, staring at Lord Williams.
“Lord Williams, I really advise against this!”
“I will advise we wait for Doctor Alexander to arrive from overseas, I believe he will do a better job than this…mad man Emilia picked up from the streets!”
Taa! Taa!! Taa!!!
Lord Williams immediately delivered three deadly resounding slaps to the face of Doctor Carlos for insulting Jack Adams, his face turned red immediately.
“Watch your silly mouth!”
“It's your fault my wife is in a much more critical condition now!”
“I really wished I hadn't contacted you and your stupid hospital before now!”
“Plus the fact that you money lovers charged six million dollars in advance and yet you guys can't save my wife!”
“This man here was the one that saved the lives of Emilia and Clarke some days ago!”
“If you dare to make me angry, I will call the United Medical Association and have your stupid medical license removed!” Lord Williams said angrily.
“Mr Jack Adams, are you sure you can treat my wife?”
“I have to see her first, and also make sure that the Paris Polyphylla you are offering is…authentic.” Jack Adams immediately replied.
“You have nothing to worry about, we the Williams family control what and all that goes in and out of the pharmaceutical industry.”
“When I tell you the Paris polyphylla is authentic, then it is!”
Clap! Clap!! Clap!!!
Lord Williams immediately clapped and one of his guards walked over to his side with a briefcase.
“Open it!”
Inside was the rare and very costly plant, Paris Polyphylla.
“You see it, can you smell its authenticity?”
“Help me save my wife and I might even give you a truckload of this stuff.”
“Alright, where exactly is Lady Beatrice Williams?” Jack Adams asked.

No backup, no tricks, just you, storming my fortress like some avenging hero from a bad movie. Impressive, Jack. Foolish, but impressive."Jack's fury boiled over, his voice rising in a sharp, echoing bar

Lord Leo roared, covering his eyes with one arm, his mane matted with smoke. "Can't see a damn thing!"Scott dropped to one knee, pistol drawn but waving blindly. "Stay together!"Through the haze, black boots thudded into the room, heavy, purposeful steps of intruders in tactical gear. Shadowy figures grabbed Whitaker, dragging him kicking and struggling toward the door, his shouts lost in the din.Jack, Scott, and Lord Leo struggled forward, coughing and waving away smoke, rushing after them into the parlor where the fog thinned slightly. Their gazes fell on two men in high-ranking uniforms, crisp, decorated with insignia, flanked by two burly henchmen in black armor, holding Whitaker down on the floor, knees pressed into his back."No!" Jack cried, his voice raw as he watched in horror. The uniformed men raised their pistols, firing two shots into Whitaker's chest, muffled cracks that echoed like thunder. Blood bloomed across his shirt, his body jerking before going limp, eyes sta

"From Mr Steven Adams,Jack's uncle. He's targeting everyone connected to the old network, and you're next on his list."Whitaker nodded slowly, unsurprised. "Ohh, from Mr Steven Adams, Jack's uncle." He echoed, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Figured as much. The shadows have been closing in."Scott exchanged curious glances with Jack and Lord Leo, his brow furrowing. "Yeah... how did you know he wants to kill you? We pieced it together from encrypted data."Whitaker walked over to his ornate wine cabinet,a polished mahogany piece adorned with crystal decanters, pulling out a bottle of aged scotch with a soft pop of the cork. He poured himself a generous glass, the amber liquid swirling as he took a sip, savoring the burn before responding. "Mr Steven texted us,all of us on that damned list." He said, his voice laced with resignation, holding up his phone briefly to show a cryptic message: 'Your time ends soon. Loose ends must tie.' "Blunt as ever. Threatened to expose secrets
Chapter 199
The dimly lit foyer of Lord Harlan Whitaker's mansion was a study in old-world elegance, with polished wooden floors reflecting the faint moonlight filtering through stained-glass windows, and antique vases perched on pedestals like silent guardians. The air carried the faint scent of aged books and polished oak, now tainted by the tension of the standoff. Whitaker, his gray hair disheveled from the brief scuffle, lowered the splintered plank completely, his wild eyes softening as recognition fully dawned. He walked over slowly, his steps measured on the creaky floorboards, extending a hand toward Jack with a mix of astonishment and relief etching his aristocratic features. "Jack... it is really you." He said, his voice a hoarse whisper that grew stronger with emotion. "You are alive indeed. After all these years, the rumors were true."Jack reacted with a warm smile spreading across his face, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he holstered his pistol, the weight of the moment
Chapter 198
Meanwhile…Back at Steven Adams' opulent mansion in the city,a sprawling estate of marble columns and manicured gardens, lit by floodlights that cast long shadows across the facade, the meeting room was shrouded in dim light from crystal chandeliers, the air heavy with cigar smoke and the scent of aged whiskey. Steven sat at the head of a long mahogany table, his fingers steepled, face a mask of calculated calm. His allies,Marco, Viktor, and Hiroshi, sat around him, fidgeting slightly in their seats. After a prolonged moment of silence, broken only by the tick of an antique clock, Marco cleared his throat, leaning forward with a raised eyebrow. "So, Steven, why did you call us here if you're handling this personally? Thought you were the lone wolf now."Steven exhaled slowly, a deliberate breath that filled the room with tension, his blue eyes flicking up to meet theirs. "I need your help." He admitted, his voice steady but edged with vulnerability. "I can't do this all by myself.
