Mrs Sophie took jack Harrison to her home where she lived alone, as she had no children of her own.
She lives in a small house but even though it is small it was warm and welcoming filled with peace and quietness. Now that Jack is coming to stay with her, it felt like something changed in the air, as she looks forward to taking care of Jack Harrison. As they reached a small house at the edge of the city, Mrs Sophie opened the wooden door and stepped aside allowing Jack to enter first. Jack Harrison was hesitating to enter as Mrs Sophie watched him and noticed immediately she placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Come inside, Jack, this is your home now" Mrs Sophie said softly with her voice filled with kindness. The room was modest and simple but with the scent of fresh bread in the air and a small crackle of fire can be heard. The furniture was simple as well such as a wooden table and a few shelves filled with books. Upon entering the house, Mrs Sophie began to move about tidying a few things but her focus was always on jack Harry. After tidying the place she turned to Jack Harrison who just stood there silently. "I know things have been hard for you but you don't have to worry anymore, Jack...you are safe now" Mrs Sophie said with a soft and understanding tone. She led him to a chair by the fire and handed him a blanket. "This house may be old and it's just two of us in it, but be rest assured that you will be taken care of. Your grandmother was a dear friend and I promised myself I would look after you just as she would have wanted" Mrs Sophie said softly. Jack Harrison sat there quietly as he clutched the blanket. Mrs Sophie knelt beside him while looking at him with pity. "You don't have to do anything right now, just rest and we will take things one day at a time, together and always remember Jack, you are not a burden to me...you are family" Mrs Sophie whispers softly. Her words felt comforting for Jack but he didn't say anything but the tension on his face shortened. Mrs Sophie then stood up to give him time to adjust to the new environment but she kept a watchful eye on him, making sure he felt at ease. Jack Harrison was deeply grateful for Mrs Sophie hospitality as she showed him around the house, he could feel her kindness. He had never expected such kindness from a stranger especially after everything he had been through. Mrs Sophie found a sense of purpose in looking after Jack and Jack also found comfort in Mrs Sophie's care. Mrs Sophie led him down a narrow corridor as the sound of the old wooden house floor was creaking at every step they took. "Come, Jack, let me show you to your room" Mrs Sophie said nicely as she led him to his room. The room was small but was comfortable for Jack Harrison, it was a simple bed that was placed near the window, covered with hand made bed sheets and blankets with a design patterns of flowers. Through the window, Jack can be able to see the garden and where the rays of the setting sun. In the room there was a wooden wardrobe and a small bookshelf filled with old books that stood against the wall and there was also a rug covered in the floor. "I know it's not much, but it's yours and you can rearrange it however you like and if you need anything just ask" Mrs Sophie said as she made way for Jack to enter. Jack Harrison stepped into the room as he use his hands to examine the bed and the room that was now his, it felt like he is a prince from a royal family. "I hope you'll feel at home here, you deserve a place to call your own" Mrs Sophie said as she was standing at the doorway watching Jack Harrison as looked around his new surroundings. For the first time in a long while, Jack Harrison felt a sense of belonging. "Thank you Mrs Sophie" Jack Harrison whispered, his voice was barely audible but was filled with emotions. Mrs Sophie smiled and said " I'll leave you to settle in, get some rest. Tomorrow is a new day and we will face it together" she said. With that, Mrs Sophie gently closed the door, leaving Jack Harrison alone in his new room, feeling a sense of relief as he kept wondering what he might have been if Mrs Sophie didn't volunteer to take him in. As soon as Mrs Sophie Left and the door shut, Jack Harrison sat at the edge of the bed still getting used to the new surroundings but all of a sudden without warning a strange screen appeared in his front, glowing with a translucent light. The screen was hanging mid air and Jack's eyes widened in shock. "What the hell is this?, is this a dream or what?, am I hallucinating or something? Or am I been haunted in this house" jack Harrison was lost in thoughts. He blinked as he was trying to make sense of what is happening but the words written on the screen remained clear and was displayed in front of him like he was dreaming. Name: Jack Harrison Strength: 55/100 Speed: 55/100 Sonic Boom: 70/100 Equipment: Energy Blade, Night Vision, Super Cloak "What the hell is this, how does it know my name, is this some kind of witch craft or something" Jack Harrison wondered in fear.

“But we all agreed that we were going to help him! We all came here together, we should leave together.” Vince looked around as though he was expecting to see Dwayne, and when he didn’t see any sign of him, he shook his head and sighed heavily. “Did he go with anything?” Sierra said with a low tone, looking at Jack who quickly understood why she was looking at him.“The medallion!” He reached for his Pocket at once, and as soon as he felt the medallion, he sighed heavily, giving others a reason to remain calm. “I don’t know if he is going to be able to make it on his own, guys. You all saw the way his body looked. I don’t think he will be able to be out there on his own. This dimension is full of monsters.” Lucy said with a tone laced with so much concern, but Sierra scoffed almost, with a look of disdain on her face. Lucy stared at her with a little surprise in her eyes, wondering why she was still the way she was. She seemed to be the only pe
chapter 140
For the first time ever since they left the city for the dimension in search of the medallion, the adventurers slept like babies, with a little relief in their minds. All of a sudden, they had forgotten that they were in am area where monsters and creatures of all kinds nestled. Nothing else mattered at that time, not even the fact that they weren’t sure of how to go back. Jack was the first to wake up at the first flicker of dawn. He blinked his eyelids several times to get rid of the weakness that tried to shut his eyes just before he stretched and yawned, pushing himself up while he groaned loudly. He could see that the sun was shining brightly, but the strange color of the dimension still remained the same, different from that of Earth. Right beside him was Lucy who was still sound asleep, enjoying the cool breeze that perched on her face. She smiled while she was fast asleep, and Jack could tell that she was having the most amazing dream.
chapter 139
“Guys? None of you is saying anything! You can’t just keep quiet about this, whatever decision we are making, I think we need to make it together.” Jack said calmly while he looked at Lucy whose eyes were saying more words than her mouth at that time. He could see from the look in her eyes that she wanted him to pass judgment that would be very easy for him to endure. She was even willing to let go and hoped that everyone was going to agree with her even though she knew that it was going to be very difficult, especially with Sierra involved. Lucy was the most compassionate among all the adventurers, she was merciful and kind, and could easily be made to react to very emotional situations. Her eagerness to react to such things made her the weakest link to them, and she didn’t even know about it. “I think we should let go of everything he has done to us, and move on. After all, we already have found the medallion, and it doesn’t look like we are going to

Jack gestured to Dwayne to explain to them, and he moved to the middle where everyone was going to be able to see and hear him clearly. Luckily, the rays from the moonlight were still bright, and he could still be seen. Sierra didn’t seem interested to hear what he was going to say, but when she saw that every other person had gotten closer to him, she reluctantly did the same and stood behind him, watching and waiting with her arms folded. Dwayne looked at his companions one after the other, and when he saw that they were paying attention while they surrounded him, standing at different corners, he sighed heavily before he went ahead to tell them what they had been longing to hear. “I am dying.” He said with a shaky tone, but his words came as a shock to his companions who didn’t know if they were to believe him him or not. They stared at each other for a few seconds before they returned their gazes to him, waiting for him to tell them that he was joki

Luckily, they were all out of the castle before it could collapse totally while they watched it go down, each block falling on top of the other amidst the rumbling and loud thud. “That was close! Really close!” Seth said with a shaky voice, looking at the collapsed building while he struggled to catch his breath. He was still panting frantically when he noticed that Sierra was marching aggressively toward him with an angry look on her face while she got ready to make use of her weapons. “I am sorry! I didn’t mean to bring him to you guys! I am so sorry! He forced me! He forced me!” Seth staggered backward while he covered his face, thinking that Sierra was about to attack him, but she walked past him with full force and grabbed Dwayne’s neck, unbothered about the fact that he was very dangerous. “Who are you? What is your mission? Who are you? Speak now before I strangle you!” She pushed him to the ground with an enormous rage while she tightened her gr

He wasn’t mincing words, and Lucy was aware of this as well. “You are wasting my time, boy! Hurry up at once, hand over the medallion, or she is dead!”“You will get the medallion! Don’t just hurt her! Don’t hurt her, okay?” Jack gestured to Lord Rasmus while he slowly came down, and the glow that covered him went off at once. The medallion fell into his hand, and he held it firmly while walking toward him. “Come on! Hand it over, now!” Lord Rasmus said imperatively while he had his eyes on the medallion, still holding onto Lucy who was still shivering under the influence of the fright that gripped her. Halfway to getting to Lord Rasmus, Jack noticed the presence of some shadowed creatures behind him, and he had to stop to be sure he wasn’t hallucinating.
