Jack Harrison heart raced as he stared at the numbers and the strange stats on the screen.Strength, speed,Sonic boom. These were abilities he only knew from stories and video games but not something to describe a real person talk less of him. He also glanced at the words written below such as energy blade, night vision and super cloak. He had never seen such abilities like that in his life.

Jack Harrison tried to touch the glowing screen displayed as he was hesitating before waving his hand through the glowing screen but it felt like nothing but air, and though the text stayed intact.

"What the hell is this?" Jack Harrison said to himself as he his gaze was fixated at the door. Mrs Sophie had only left few minutes ago, unaware of the sudden occurrence.

Jack Harrison tries to focus on the words in the screen as he noticed that the numbers seemed to gauge some sort of potential and also list of abilities and equipment such as energy blade, super cloak and night vision which all sounded like a gear a superhero would use and not someone like him.

But as he was glancing at the names of the equipment he felt a strange aura like a power awakening and surging inside him.

He then remembered when he was at the farm and was ambushed by Finn and his guys. Which he ended up receiving beatings that almost ended his and made him passed out for hours and maybe that awaken something inside of him he didn't know it was there.

Was this part of his identity or he accidentally awaken something he didn't know he had within him? Or was he dreaming?, all this thoughts was running through his head then suddenly the screen appeared again and more words appeared this time with a message.

MISSION: REST FOR 8 HOURS

ABILITIES: TO BE UNLOCKED

OBJECTIVE: AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS

Jack Harrison was losing his breath as soon as he saw the word abilities.

"Abilities?, missions?" Jack whispers to himself, his mind was racing as he tries to understand what is going on, as he wondered if it is possible that there was more to him that he never knew.

The screen the disappeared once more same way it mysteriously appeared leaving Jack Harrison staring at an empty air where he saw the system screens.

Jack Harrison heart was still racing as he sat down frozen and wondering what all of that meant and what would happen next.

Jack Harrison couldn't believe what he had just witnessed as he sat there completely dumbfounded as he kept staring at the spot where the system screen disappeared from. His mind was racing as he was processing what just happened.

"Was I hallucinating?" Jack Harrison asked himself as he couldn't believe his eyes so he blinked several times and he was then certain that the system screen is gone and once again the room became quiet except for the sound of crackling fire in the other room.

Jack Harrison heart kept beating in his chest as he wondered if all of this could be real because just moments ago he was a weakling, orphan boy and was not sure about his purpose in life and now our of nowhere he has been given a stats like he was a character in a video game and equipment he had never heard of such as energy blade, night vision, Sonic boom and super cloak.

Jack Harrison kept trying hard to process all of it but none of it made sense as he wonders why the system chose him, and was surprised because he had always been an ordinary boy struggling with life challenges but not someone with super abilities or hidden powers.

Jack Harrison stood up slowly as he tries to test if the system screen would appear back but nothing happened. He kept wondering if there was something inside him that he didn't know about or was there some secret tied to his past or his grandmother's death.

Jack Harrison began to breath heavily as he needed answers for all this questions running through his head but didn't know who to ask and was certain not to bother Mrs Sophie with it so as to avoid sounding crazy.

Jack glanced around the room hoping to find a clue but everything was like that just as he was it.

Jack Harrison was shaking before he finally sat back I. The edge of the bed while holding his head in confusion. If this is not a dream then it means something bigger is happening and he is involved but what?, he kept wandering.

Then suddenly a thought came to his mind like a whisper, Jack Harrison who was still trying to process what the strange system screen showed. As his mind was racing in different directions.

Jack Harrison stood up as his legs was still trembling and decided to calm himself down.

"I need a glass of water, I hope it would put me at ease" Jack Harrison said as he was hoping it would help him clear his head.

He left his room and made his way to the kitchen, he walked quietly on the wooden floor so as not to disturb Mrs Sophie sleep, and the hose was silent as usual except for the crackling of the fire.

Jack Harrison took an empty glass and filled it with water from the tap that was sun the kitchen. After taking a deep breath, Jack cranked the water and the water was rushing into his mouth.

At first it was refreshing just like any other glass of water. But then something strange happened, as soon as the water entered his stomach, he felt a sudden surge of energy like a spark, sparking inside his body.

His muscles was vibrating and his heartbeat accelerated, it was as if the body was reject the water within him as the sensation was painful and was sparking like an electric current running under his skin.

“But we all agreed that we were going to help him! We all came here together, we should leave together.” Vince looked around as though he was expecting to see Dwayne, and when he didn’t see any sign of him, he shook his head and sighed heavily. “Did he go with anything?” Sierra said with a low tone, looking at Jack who quickly understood why she was looking at him.“The medallion!” He reached for his Pocket at once, and as soon as he felt the medallion, he sighed heavily, giving others a reason to remain calm. “I don’t know if he is going to be able to make it on his own, guys. You all saw the way his body looked. I don’t think he will be able to be out there on his own. This dimension is full of monsters.” Lucy said with a tone laced with so much concern, but Sierra scoffed almost, with a look of disdain on her face. Lucy stared at her with a little surprise in her eyes, wondering why she was still the way she was. She seemed to be the only pe

For the first time ever since they left the city for the dimension in search of the medallion, the adventurers slept like babies, with a little relief in their minds. All of a sudden, they had forgotten that they were in am area where monsters and creatures of all kinds nestled. Nothing else mattered at that time, not even the fact that they weren’t sure of how to go back. Jack was the first to wake up at the first flicker of dawn. He blinked his eyelids several times to get rid of the weakness that tried to shut his eyes just before he stretched and yawned, pushing himself up while he groaned loudly. He could see that the sun was shining brightly, but the strange color of the dimension still remained the same, different from that of Earth. Right beside him was Lucy who was still sound asleep, enjoying the cool breeze that perched on her face. She smiled while she was fast asleep, and Jack could tell that she was having the most amazing dream.

“Guys? None of you is saying anything! You can’t just keep quiet about this, whatever decision we are making, I think we need to make it together.” Jack said calmly while he looked at Lucy whose eyes were saying more words than her mouth at that time. He could see from the look in her eyes that she wanted him to pass judgment that would be very easy for him to endure. She was even willing to let go and hoped that everyone was going to agree with her even though she knew that it was going to be very difficult, especially with Sierra involved. Lucy was the most compassionate among all the adventurers, she was merciful and kind, and could easily be made to react to very emotional situations. Her eagerness to react to such things made her the weakest link to them, and she didn’t even know about it. “I think we should let go of everything he has done to us, and move on. After all, we already have found the medallion, and it doesn’t look like we are going to

Jack gestured to Dwayne to explain to them, and he moved to the middle where everyone was going to be able to see and hear him clearly. Luckily, the rays from the moonlight were still bright, and he could still be seen. Sierra didn’t seem interested to hear what he was going to say, but when she saw that every other person had gotten closer to him, she reluctantly did the same and stood behind him, watching and waiting with her arms folded. Dwayne looked at his companions one after the other, and when he saw that they were paying attention while they surrounded him, standing at different corners, he sighed heavily before he went ahead to tell them what they had been longing to hear. “I am dying.” He said with a shaky tone, but his words came as a shock to his companions who didn’t know if they were to believe him him or not. They stared at each other for a few seconds before they returned their gazes to him, waiting for him to tell them that he was joki

Luckily, they were all out of the castle before it could collapse totally while they watched it go down, each block falling on top of the other amidst the rumbling and loud thud. “That was close! Really close!” Seth said with a shaky voice, looking at the collapsed building while he struggled to catch his breath. He was still panting frantically when he noticed that Sierra was marching aggressively toward him with an angry look on her face while she got ready to make use of her weapons. “I am sorry! I didn’t mean to bring him to you guys! I am so sorry! He forced me! He forced me!” Seth staggered backward while he covered his face, thinking that Sierra was about to attack him, but she walked past him with full force and grabbed Dwayne’s neck, unbothered about the fact that he was very dangerous. “Who are you? What is your mission? Who are you? Speak now before I strangle you!” She pushed him to the ground with an enormous rage while she tightened her gr

Everyone had become very silent while they looked at Jack who began to come down slowly, looking at Lord Rasmus who threatened to kill Lucy and was serious about it,. He wasn’t mincing words, and Lucy was aware of this as well. “You are wasting my time, boy! Hurry up at once, hand over the medallion, or she is dead!”“You will get the medallion! Don’t just hurt her! Don’t hurt her, okay?” Jack gestured to Lord Rasmus while he slowly came down, and the glow that covered him went off at once. The medallion fell into his hand, and he held it firmly while walking toward him. “Come on! Hand it over, now!” Lord Rasmus said imperatively while he had his eyes on the medallion, still holding onto Lucy who was still shivering under the influence of the fright that gripped her. Halfway to getting to Lord Rasmus, Jack noticed the presence of some shadowed creatures behind him, and he had to stop to be sure he wasn’t hallucinating. The figures disappeared almost as soon as they appeared, and Ja
