Chapter Two

It hadn't been up to two minutes since James left the office. The lady who had asked him to buy a coffee, Linda, frowned deeply  and walked up to Melissa's table. 

She crossed her arms under her breasts and demanded curiously, “What is that dull James trying to do? Is he trying to seduce you with that ugly face of his? Pfft… It's really disgusting!” She exclaimed and made a face with a disgusted expression. 

“You need to caution him, Melissa! He really needs to know his place. You can't be seen with him, he's such an unfortunate being. You should let him know a poor man like him shouldn't be crushing on you!” She ranted angrily.

Melissa, on the other hand, was really embarrassed. Her face flushed in red as it was a secret between them. 

James and Melissa were lovers but both of them had agreed to keep their relationship  a secret.  Infact, the position she sustained in Sky Corporation, it was all thanks to James. 

But right now she thought about James not befitting for her anymore, she felt more embarrassed and annoyed. 

Melissa made a disgusted expression and sneered disparagingly, “Do you really think I will stoop so low to date a poor man like James?  Never! He is so impoverished and doesn't belong to my status.” She mumbled out quickly. 

Linda walked over to her desk and carried out her unfinished job after Melissa's outburst. 

Soon it was the time to leave, James had done his job for the day and  saw that Melisa was still there. A satisfactory  smile appeared on his face as he walked over to her. 

“Hey Lisa, aren't you done with the office work? Let's go home together!" The moment he moved closer to her, he mumbled, wrapping his hand around Melissa's waist. 

Melisa was fuming in anger and pushed his hand away from her waist, then asked in a serious tone. 

Why have you smiled at me in the office in the first place?  I thought we agreed to keep our  relationship a secret from the public! Why are you trying to break the rules?” 

James was absolutely surprised at the way Melissa had really shouted at him.  He was baffled and tried to apologize, “I'm sor….” 

He was interrupted instantly by Melissa's angry voice, “You should leave already! I still have some unfinished work to do!”

James felt awkward and he left first as Melisa said she needed to work on an unfinished project.

It's been two years they had been dating each other and Melissa had requested their relationship shouldn't be known by the public and he respected that decision. 

But seeing her angry like this, he really knew he'd crossed the line. Melissa hasn't been angry with him this way before. She had never raised her voice at him. 

However, just when James was about to leave the building, he suddenly  received a message. A scowl appeared instantly on his face when he saw the message was from Linda and her text was full of arrogance. 

She asked him arrogantly to go back to the office and write an important email for her. She forgot to do it today.

James felt angry, he was bullied for months but he must restrain it.  He clenched his fist tightly and cursed under his breath. 

She didn't even beg for his assistance  but she was also threatening him in the message. James tried to ignore the message but he couldn't. He will surely be dealt with if anything goes wrong. 

He made a U turn and had to go back to the office. He walked into their department  but surprisingly, Melisa was not there at her desk anymore. 

James was confused and didn't know what happened. ‘Maybe she went to the toilet!’ He shrugged the thought off and went over to Linda's desk and began to write the letter. 

However, it hadn't been up to a minute, James began to hear a strange voice coming from the supervisor's office and he wondered who might be with the supervisor. 

Feeling curious, he walked closer to his supervisor's office and the strange voice became louder and clearer. 

‘It isn't what I'm thinking, right?’ He thought as he was seen shaking vehemently and sweats covered all over his face. 

As he moved closer to the supervisor's office, the clearer the voice became. He knew what the sound was! 

James fidgeted on the spot and couldn't believe it, so he dashed over to his supervisor's office and flung the door open angrily. 

He was absolutely right, his girlfriend, Melissa,  was bent over the table and his supervisor banging and having sex in the office ruthlessly and shamelessly
