"It's been three years, but now that I stare at it, it looks like it's just been a few days" James sighed emotionally as he stared at the bungalow before him whose environment was already overridden with grass.
After the confession from the thugs, James let them go, however that was not before breaking half of their bones. Although he couldn't kill them, he could inflict serious pains on their bodies.
This would teach them to think twice before trying to bully an helpless old lady. With nothing to do James had begun strolling around the city untill he finally arrived before this bungalow.
This was the home he shared with Becca before he suddenly received the divorce papers on the wall three years ago. Judging from the unhealthy environment, he could tell that Becca had not visited the place in a very long time.
"Sigh. Just thinking about that evening makes me depressed every time" James shook his head as he walked away.
Just as he was about to cross the road to the other side, a speeding limousine suddenly horned loudly as it almost ran into James.
"What the hell?! why are you just staring there like a fool huh? are you trying to beg me for money?!" before James could move his lips, a beautiful and curvy lady came down from the limousine, pointing her long multi colored manicure at James face.
The other party seemed to be in her early twenties and was clad in an expensive red dress. Her face was very beautiful with a small touch of makeup. However the arrogant expression on her face dispelled the favorable opinion that James was about to have for her.
"You.."
"Shut up you miser!" Charlotte shunned James before he could finish speaking as she fished out a hundred dollar bill from her stylish purse as she tossed it at James feet.
"I have given you money so you can hurry along now. Gosh, you poor people nowadays. Always blocking the path of the rich just for some tips" Charlotte clicked her tongue in disgust.
"Huh? what are you still waiting for huh? scram! or is the money not enough? how greedy!" Charlotte frowned when she still saw James had made no sign to move or pick the money.
"You rich people sure are arrogant. You almost ran into me after surpassing your speed limit. However instead of apologizing you think I am a dog who would run along after you throw me a bone and say fetch?" James shook his head.
"If not for that sick person inside that car, I wouldn't mind putting you in your place. Whatever, I'll just ignore the barking of a dog and mind my business " James snorted as he made to continue walking away.
Perhaps due to the constant bullying he suffered at the hands of the Blue Family in the past, James had an Innate dislike for this haughty lady before him who thought because she was rich, she could look down on anybody she comes across.
"Wait!" just then two voice rang out.
"Father?!" Charlotte cried in surprise when she saw a middle aged man slowly walk out from the limo.
The middle aged man was clad in expensive black suit. Black dots lined almost every corner of his face and his head contained grey strands of hair while his body excluded a sickly air.
James brows raised up as he sized the other party. That was because he was the owner of the second voice.
"Father, you shouldn't come out. We are almost at the hospital" Charlotte appeared frightened as she attempted to lead her father back into the limo.
"I'm fine" the sick man coughed before fixing his attention on James.
"Young man, how did you see through my sickness?" he sounded puzzled, because there was no way James could've seen him inside the limo since the windows were tinted.
"The same way I can tell that you are currently in a critical state. You must be rushing to the hospital correct? in this current state no matter how much money you pay, none of the hospital doctors would be able to heal you" James shook his head as his eyes shone with a faint brilliant sheen.
From his view, he could sense a thick aura of death qi from the other party. This was a sign that whatever ailment he was suffering from had reached its critical phase.
"You jinx! how dare you curse my father to death?! do you want to die?!" Charlotte roared angrily.
"It's fine " the sick man held her back before she could do something stupid.
"From your tone, I can sense a but coming?"
"Indeed. I can temporarily suppress it. However if it is not treated in a week time, then I am afraid not even a Sage would be able to do anything " James nodded confidently.
"Hmph. Big words. Judging by the clothes you are wearing you are nothing but a church rat. Forget about curing my father, I doubt you even went to medical school " Charlotte sneered.
"Plus, aren't you being too much of a jinx? there's no way my father's condition is critical. He's only having a high fever and occasional coughs. Aren't you just saying these big words to scam us. Hmph, as if we would fall for that!'
Seeing Charlotte's display, James shook his head not bothering to refute her words. The sick man seemed to have understood something, causing him to stare at James in shook. If the bold guess in his mind was right, then the young man before them was definitely not simple!
"Charlotte, show some respect to our esteemed friend" he suddenly warned his daughter sternly as he approached James while cupping his fist.
"If you heal me, I promise to pay you any amount of money. I can even sign off half of my wealth to you" he promised earnestly, stunning Charlotte who was besides him.
"Father?!" she cried in shock.
Was her father growing senile with old age? couldn't she tell that the miser before them was nothing but a pathetic scammer!
How was her father so blind to this obvious fact?!

Chapter 39
"Are you having a good time?" James was halfway through his glass of champagne when he felt Charlotte's presence behind him. "Do you want a honest answer or a load of sugar coating?" turning around, he flashed her a smile. "Do I even want to hear about it?" Charlotte chuckled. However her expression soon went serious. "You know if you want to leave now I won't be offended" "Are you kidding? coming here was mostly my idea.." completely downing down the content of his glass of champagne, James fluidly placed it atop the tray of a a female party waitress passing by.. Clang! Clang! All heads immediately turned towards a particular table. Besides the table was a middle aged man clad in a neat tux with silver brows. On his left grip was an empty glass of champagne and on his right grip was a small spoon he was using to pound on the champagne glass. Recognizing the identity of the middle aged man who appeared to be deliberately attracting attention to his table, the several Founder
Chapter 38
Atlas City was a top tier city brimming with near endless opportunities due to being a beacon that often attracted the attention of top dogs globally. And over the past decade, the city enjoyed a favorable boost in the real estate and raw resource market to the point where every business mogul both far and wide wanted to have a slice of this particular 'cake' However although the city was a business hotspot, it lacked a sense of community due to the fact that seventy percent of its residents were investors and moguls with only a small fraction being the city's original indigenous settlers ; at least the select few who refused to be bought out of their homes by the foreign deep pockets. As such all year round the city only ever enjoyed three special events and one of them was the Founders Gala! Hall Of Nines.. For as long as one could remember, this had always been the venue of the Founders Gala ever since the concept was birthed and on a specific date in the calender, the premises

"Achou!" James suddenly balled his fist as he placed it across his lips to block out a sudden sneeze. "Are you feeling cold.. Boss?" standing besides him, Da Plutos blurted out curiously. "I'm fine.." while speaking, James casted his eyes towards the sun in the sky, whose radiance was starting to dim. "Are you sure you informed them?" he couldn't help but inquire. "Yes Boss.." Da Plutos expression went sullen when he noticed none of the gang leaders he reached out to were anywhere in sight."It's alright. I wanted to do things in a civilized manner.." "Are we going to attack them and put them in their place?" Da Plutos suddenly blurted out a suggestion. "What? of course not.." James shook his head in disagreement. "Although what I plan on doing requires their co-operation.. I never said it was of high necessity. Just you would be fine.." James explained completely unbothered that the gang leaders stood up his invitation. "However.." he added. "The promise I made to you still
Chapter 36
The next day, James embarked on a little trip out of New Sensation Villa while riding a brand new blue colored scooter. It wasn't like he was trying to be low-key or anything but James had never actually handled the wheels of a vehicle.. scooters and bicycles were his go-to method of transportation. Half an hour later, James was no longer in the urbanized district of New Sensations villa but was now in the ghetto underprivileged area of Yellow Bottoms; the district where he lived for most of the childhood he could remember. "Hmm.." he mused as he observed the dirty sewage lining that corners of the street. It was unknown what was going on in his mind. "Master Stefflon?" a slightly panicked voice echoed from behind him. "Oh?" looking over his shoulders, James noticed a fidgeting figure standing besides a rusty old pick-up truck. Surprisingly the fidgety figure was actually the lead Thug hired by Sebastian to bully his mother and drive her out from Atlas City. However currently th

"You!!" upon hearing Diego's slanderous accusations, the scrawny staff immediately shot James a sharp glare. "Is Mr. Sebastian speaking the truth?! you better answer me truthfully!" James scoffed. From the current reaction he was getting from the other party, nothing he would say will hold any tangible weight. The other party was obviously trying to curry some favors with Diego's family so he was more or less guilty in the perspective of the scrawny staff member. "Mr. Ian. You shouldn't lose your cool. If this kitchen boy is as guilty then perhaps you need to resolve this in a more.. private location?" Diego shamelessly tried playing peacemaker. "I apologize" Mr. Ian gave James another sharp look as he made a grabbing motion towards his shoulders. However James easily stepped back, causing the other party to grab empty air. His actions infuriated Mr. Ian even more. "You cheeky bastard! what do you think you are doing?!" The charitable Mr. Sebastian is obviously trying to give
