Chapter 18 - His Evil Predator

Chapter 18 - His Evil Predator

A screech pierced into the plain landmass where Leo sat on the moss ground, with a humanoid creature in front of him. The unknown entity was a one-legged tall beast, as was as thin as a starving baby wolf. Its texture was still transparent as Leo was dazed at the appearance looking lost in thought.

"Dumb." He mustered after a few seconds and the creature shattered into invisible dust.

Leo suddenly stood up from the ground and began to draw the diagram of a creature. His countenance looked bored as he scrabbled his index finger on the ground.

Over a few minutes later, the diagram was completed and a devilish smile crept into his face.

There was a small drawing, probably a planned entity made from the part of other beasts. It looked rookie-ish since he was not a pro-artist. But it was vivid that the humanoid creature had a scary sight.

Two long and broad legs, a bald head, pale eyes, and most of all, a pair of small fangs hanging from its mouth, a clawed finger, and a tail just long enough, to be suitable for its devilish appearance.

"Barbed Akyln, Burug, Groot, and two-legged sumen!" Leo quickly memorized the sequel of beasts and sat on the ground, before giving into his imaginative trance.

....

Within thirty seconds of the trance, Leo felt an impolite pain pierce into his arms. His eyes did not hesitate to flicker open, and when they did, they jammed on a pack of blood-red wolves, each having long fangs and razor-sharp claws that were hidden underneath their furry paws.

"Stupid creature!" He effortlessly pushed away the wolf that had dug his claws into his arms, and jumped on his feet, staring daggers at the wolves that outnumbered him with the number five.

Yet, Leo could consider them easy predators, as two high-graded serpents appeared into thin air, having a moss-green color that successfully camouflaged under the moss grass.

A few minutes later, the fight was over with all six wolves lying on the ground without a single blood stain, that, however, would have been invisible in their color. Luckily the serpents did a good job of dominating the pack whose aggression had, unfortunately, amounted to nothing as a single scratch of venom from the serpent's fangs was considered very deadly to a majority of creatures, but luckily, only fatal for the pack of wolves.

"So where did I stop?" Leo immediately sat on the ground and continued with his meditative trance. Some seconds later, a glow illuminated his palm and shot out into mid-air. The ball of blinding light gradually shaped into a creature, one that remained unknown to the surroundings until it finally completed its transformation. Into a pale, and transparent carbon copy of Leo's diagram.

Leo finally opened his eyes to view his handiwork and a smile quickly appeared on his face, seeing that the monster was exactly what he planned.

The entity had a very tall and slender body, an almost eight-meter-long tail, and all the other features Leo had planned. He carefully turned his gaze to the magma stone that had been beside him ever since, and suddenly an uneasy expression replaced the smile.

'I don't want to waste these resources, what if the combination and look are not enough? Then I'll loose a very accountable amount of the stone! If so, Bel will skin...'

Leo paused I'm his words and heaved a sigh. He picked the item from the ground and then turned his gaze to the entity that still hovered mid-air.

And with a single hand movement, Leo flung the stone at the beast, his eyes shut tight in fear of what his imagination might lead to.

Slowly, Leo opened his eyes to see the creature with a heart flooded with expectations, yet a face only revealing a worrisome look.

Leo’s eyes were finally wide open, and he gazed at the creature that looked... Drop-dead gorgeous before his eyes, but rather, gruesome and spooky in the eyes of any other being.

"You... You my Blackest Blue!" Leo had a urge to hug the creature, but he had an unknown fear of the creature, mostly due to its earth-crust-like texture, and thin lines of molten magma on the brown earth-like skin.

Moreover, a pair of long and spiral horns had suddenly appeared on the temples of the entity.

"They will cower...cower in fear of this mighty entity!"

Leo quickly began daydreaming of a scene where the villagers were being ripped apart by the entity, Blackest Blue before him.

"Why don't you try out the ability to this gruesome monster."

While Leo was still lost in his menacing laughter, a voice suddenly jingled in his head and he gave a halt to his laughter as his gaze turned to the monster, Blackest Blue that spoke gibberish.

"Who said that?"

"Are you in denial or what? It's vivid that I'm the one speaking here!"

While the voice grew louder in his head, the creature continued to muster gibberish from its pale, stone-textured mouth, and Leo was immediately convinced that the Blackest Blue made those words.

Leo turned pale as a ghost, and his palms felt cold, 'Why on earth am I scared of my creation?'

The dawn was still early and Leo was already wide awake in the tainted lair. He headed for the waterfall and took a quick bath before rushing into the lair once again to dress up in his regular leather clothing.

Many minutes after doing all the necessary things, he turned to the Blackest Blue that had been watching him all this while.

It'd been three days after the creation of the entity, and ever since, Leo had this overwhelming feeling of enthusiasm and will leave the lair before sunrise to train with the creature.

When Leo was about to exit the lair with the entity, Bel walked out of his darker lair in his humanoid figure, thereby interrupting his actions.

"Good morning, Bel!" Leo quickly greeted, and so did the Blackest Blue as it bowed its head in respect. Bel, however, disregarded the greetings and went straight into the conversation,

"Today, by late noon is the newborn' ceremony, just thought it will be nice of me to inform you!"

"Oh! Thank you, I'll be back whenever I can!"

And with those words, he transformed into his shadowy appearance and flew out of the lair, while the creature chased behind.

"Blackest Blue, you have surpassed your limits once again." Leo praised the entity that stood right under the surface he hovered upon.

"Today is the big day, and so, it's a day to inflict chaos!" The Blackest Blue gave a burst of gibberish laughter as its voice dinged in Leo's head, "We should get going, shouldn't we?"

"Of course, my monster from hell's gate! "
