(Alfonso's pov)

How long has it been since I met another living being stepped into my lab, I have been trapped here for so long trying to break through and become a true mage. After all my years of research and experiments, I can finally feel that I'm on the verge of breakthrough, yet these pests dare to barge into my lab disrupting my moment of enlightenment.

Rage… that is all I feel at this moment, I can't be at peace of I don't draw out their souls and use it as fuel for my lanterns.

Who dares disturb my research?!!. This wasn't directed as a question because I did not need an answer, I can see the culprits standing in my laboratory.

An unassuming male with no notable features except his demeanour, he had the look of someone who got swindled and on the verge of crying.

The young lady beside was also average, her green eyes were something normal in this realm anyways.

Seeing no reason to waste time with them, I flung my hand forward sending a wave of mana bolts towards the intruders, this basic spell is usually enough to deal with pests below awakening.

Crash!!!!

Tilting my head to the left, a conical flask wisked past where my head was a few seconds ago. How dare they fight back, even using my own tools as projecti…. Crashhh!!!.

A table flew towards me from across the room, It crashed into my mana shield doing nothing but fueling my rage.

The male figure pushed off of his feet bolting towards me with speed I didn't expect, within a second he was already in front of me throwing his fist out.

With a click of my fingers, the mana around me exploded sending him flying back towards the entrance of the room. Before he could hit the ground his female partner caught him.

Preparing a spell to wipe out then both out, something was thrown towards me again. It was a….. human??, that blasted fool of a woman, she actually hurled her partner right back to me using him as a projectile.

Bam!!

The male figure crashed into my mana barrier, not that I wasn't prepared for the idiot who had an even more idiotic partner.

Flicking my wrist, a paper scroll appeared in left hand. Pouring my mana into the scroll I could see the sigils on it light up with a blue colour, and then i tossed the scroll towards the girl.

Midflight the scroll transformed into a Ragin ball of fire causing an explosion to go off in the lab. When the flames touched my chemicals they would ignite and explode thereby leading even more explosions.

That's should have dealt with that foolish woman for sure. The damage to lab was massive, but I was gonna abandon this place soon anyways.

Aahhhhhhh!!!!, fuck it hurts like hell!!

I could hear a miserable scream originating from the ever growing flames. It was good to hear suffering.

One down.

Looking to feet I failed to find her male counterpart, he was passed out on the ground just a few seconds ago.

Just then a chill crept up my spine as I sensed something ominous behind me.

In haste I turned around only to find yet another projectile flying towards me. Another one of my many flasks almost no different from the others, but I could tell right away that I could not let it touch by any means.

The blood of an adult corrosive salamander wasnt something I could deal with at my level. It meant certain death.

With fear visible on my face I erected another mana barrier while tossing out another scroll simultaneously, a third barrier was created by my scroll but it did not help much as it was destroyed in a matter of milliseconds.

My second barrier…

My third and last barrier…

As my final line of defence i swung my robe upwards In one fluid motion in a useless attempt to slow the blood. It was as I said useless as the robe was corroded instantly, but the barriers weren't set up to protect me anyways, it was simply a means to stall for time and Charge my final resort.

With a black flash of light of the ring on my left thumb exploded as I dissapeared from the lab, my destination unknown.

(Rejoice pov).

Urrgghhh!!!! Aahhhh!!

Everything hurt like hell and I had it much better than Athena-sama. She crawled her way out of the fire that quickly spreading everywhere save for the alter, rushing to her I helped her up to the altar where the fire couldn't reach for some reason.

She looked horrible.

She almost naked with second degree burns all over her body, most players would have logged out by now from the pain after all it was just a game, there was no need to torture one's self.

Why dont you relog? I suggested, you will reappear here so don't worry about finding this place again. I was honestly worried about her.

“ Nah I can take this much, this shitty game is quite realistic tho, I almost went into shock from the pain but I guess thats the thrill”.

Are you a pervert?

“You wanna die?“

Ahem….. never mind.

“So what now?, will that wierdo be back?, he sort of just dissapeared on us…. Quite rude actually”

Would you have preferred his company over mine, I can always tell him that when next we run into him.

“I'm good, I prefer you”

Oh really? im proud to have a loyal partn…

“You make a great throwing weapon” she added with a smirk.

I now officially hate women, don't ask why.

Anyways about that mage guy, I think he used a teleportation talisman of sorts. Those things should only work in a one way direction so I don't think he is coming back.

“Thats a relief cause I can't take anymore of this”.

We got beat up pretty badly huh?

[ Congratulations on….. chasing the mage away… I guess, oh well at least you didn't die.

Your party has managed to secure Alfonso's lair… even though it's ablaze.

You have gained 300rc..

You have acquired Alfonso's magic tome..

You have acquired sacrificial dagger..

Remark: Alfonso is alive and well, better grow stronger before he seeks you out.]

That was very helpful I guess.

“Where the fuck are the health potions?“.

Language lady.

Athena-sama shot me a glare, not that I cared anyways, the fruits from the tree has the regeneration property. Thats why Alfonso chose this place as his base.

By the way why didn't you use that metal rod from before?, I asked with genuine curiosity.

“I lost it when I fell the ground during the stat assimilation thingy. I guess I just didn't bother picking it up right after”.

I sighed to myself, this lady was really unreliable when it counted.

The group finally reached the Crimson brotherhood's temple. It was called a temple but in reality it was just five rundown houses that were somehow connected to each other, a second floor was built ontop of the others, the craftsmanship was simply terrible. Thier combined luck stats must've been the only thing that kept the place from crumbling and killing them all.“Are we seriously gonna fight in that death trap”, Rogue Josh asked with a hint of mockery in his tone.Dreamweaver could not believe his eyes either,” I feel like if we give them time, they might all die once the building collapses”.“I can't believe this”, Rogue Josh said while suppressing a laugh,”this, is the god-damned holy temple?“, houses made out of cardboards look sturdier than this”.Avatar001 clicked his tongue in dissapointment,” it is what it is”.A folded scroll appeared in his hands, “little mate, you will be put in charge of reconnaisance, this right here is a map of thier hideout, I need you to find all th

The boys looked on in wonder at how seamless and smooth all the operations were. They boarded a small hot air balloon with a maximum of five passengers. This one was meant for short travels between floating settlements, the sirilan district was one of such platforms after all.The balloon took to the air with moderate speed, the group observed the world below like country bumpkins who boarded an air plane for the first time. The pilot chuckled at the sight, although not often, people like this would board his balloons from time to time. It was really a sight he enjoyed.Avatar001's eyes shifted to the other passengers, a woman with a baby in her arms, and a man with no expression on his face, he wore a big trench coat that covered everything from

The next day the group did nothing but train, rogue josh was experimenting with his skills for the better part of the day. Avatar001 successfully sold the grave howler for a 100,000RC, turns out it was a very rare commodity on the black market, the group split the cash before Mitchell Sanguinis set off on her journey to the church, it turns out she was always from the mid realm where the church was also located. The rest of the boys had forgotten about her fake dragon for sure.Dreamweaver spent the day differently, he first logged out to gather information. He logged in at noon again to make preparations for the fight on their hands. He bought leather armor and a new hand shied slightly smaller than the one avatar001 had given to him during the grave howler fight. His heart ached at the expense but he didn't have a choice, untill he had his custom armor made he would have to keep spending on new clothes after

  • farewells

Mitchell Sanguinis stood before Dreamweaver, her back against the door, her figure was tense for reasons he couldn't understand but decided not ask, he wasn't one to care about people's past or trauma. So what did you want to talk about?, he asked calmly.Mitchell shifted slightly, a habbit she showed when she was uncomfortable.“I intend to return to the church”, she said softly.Dreamweaver eyed her for a second, draped in a loose gown that obscured her figure, her hair was still tied back into a pony tail, slightly wet but not enough to drip to the floor, “she must have taken a bath too”, he thought. His thoughts remained on her for a second longer than usual as he felt his heart rate rise slightly, he promptly caught himself as he focused his gaze on the window adjacent to where he sat on the bed.“You are free to do as you please”, he replied after some thought, “I have no desire to keep you trapped, I still don't know why my god's asked me to save you but that's something we can

Think of it like domains from jjk, but since Mitchell won't know what that means i'll elaborate. When an awakened reaches a certain strength threshold, they gain the ability to influence the world around them in a much grander way. They directly influence the area they occupy and temporarily reshape it to fit their inner world. What the chimera used back there was only an incomplete demesne, it's level is too low to use a full demesne.“So technically, players will have the ability to use bloody domain expansions”?, avatar001 asked.Dreamweaver gave a nod,”I believe at level 40, that's the high tier threshold”.“Then why the hell was a lvl27 monster using one”?, rogue Josh asked. This time it was Mitchell who spoke up, “the chimera is not something natural, it's the product of alchemical experiments, the demesne it unleashed didn't hold even 20% of
