Vivere island

On the shores of the vivere island, the sun was at its peak and the skies were the most vibrant blue anyone could see. The trees were tall and dense with mountain ranges visible in every direction.

The waves moved back and forth as if shy to meet with sandy beach. But if one looked closely, on one of the many beaches on the vivere island there were hundreds of people if strewn about, all lying on the sandy but wet grounds as if it was the most

comfortable mattress they had ever used.

There wreckages laying around as well ranging from huge metal scraps down to more mundane things like luggage, all these told the tales of a great mishap at sea.

Urrgghhh!!

Damn isn't this too realistic?, I cant feel my face. Shitty developers……. Oh wait that me, I take that back.

I'm ashore and I'm surrounded by dozens of players all seemingly waking up from a coma. In front of me is the island of vivere, one the main islands of this game plot.

This game world consists of four islands connected to each other, with a central island bigger than all of them combined, floating in the middle.

Rebirth online didnt have different servers like traditional games, instead we made every island a unique zone for people from different continents. Because of this feature every one of the four islands was completely different and had a different terrain and laws that govern them.

Let's say for example Asian players would mostly find themselves on the sizun island where the power system felt more like a cultivation journey, they had a different name for skills and everything else.

Why go through this trouble? you might want to ask, well it's quite simple. Humans loved different things and this was done to promote cultures across different places all over the world, and to create a sense of belonging among players on a given island.

Anyways I'm on Vivere which is the latin word for survival, this island was gonna the home ground of most mages and psychics in the latter parts of the game, but I won't spoil things too much.

I'm finally getting my bearings and taking in everything around me, I can clearly feel the ocean water splashing against my feet. Looking down at my feet I can see my shoes have completely dissapeared for no reason, I look at other players around and most of them still have thier shoes on except a few.

My trousers are torn and my white long sleeve Shirt only has one sleeve now, with a sigh I grab the other sleeve and directly yanked it off. I wouldn't be able to focus until I tore it off.

I turn around in a attempt to find my so called partner 'Avatar001', but the handsome but unlucky fellow Is nowhere in sight. The island is huge anyways and players would wash up in different parts, it could even take weeks before you come close to reaching an opposite end of the island.

While I'm in my thoughts, I get a message from the tutorial Ai, almost giving me a heart attack.

[ Congratulations 'Silvergod' for surviving the shipwreck, you have landed on an uncharted island. Priotise finding food and shelter…. Or not… you can do whatever you want.]

“….“

Wtf was that about?, ignoring the non existent tutorial guide which I designed by the way, I call up my status screen with a simple thought.

[STATUS]

PLAYER NAME: 'Silvergod'

LEVEL:0

CLASS: none

STR:5

SPD:5

VIT:5

END:5

SkILLS:none

REMARK:[ you survived yaaay! Now do your best to stay alive]

Ignoring the snarky remark from the system, I focus on the stats and see their individual descriptions.

STR=strength: this stat shows a players weight carrying capacity, and muscle strength.

SPD=speed: this stat shows a players overall speed, reaction and dexterity.

VIT= vitality: this stats shows a players vigor, health and survivability. When VIT hits 0, the player dies.

END=endurance: this stats shows a players stamina and overall ability to receive beatings. It also shows a players ability to survive in harsh conditions.

SKILLS: you have none so why are you even asking?.

I'm starting to get irritated by these system remarks.

Anyways all my stats are at 5 because it's the default beginner stat for every player, this was to make the starting point fair and making builds easier for players cause the game didn't have any starting classes.

With everything set I start walking into the expansive forest, there was a reason I chose this island called vivere. And it lay deep into the forest, it's cheating I know but don't worry, this will be the only time I use my knowledge of the game for my own benefit.

The thing I want to acquire is something I designed just for my self, you can think of it as reward for my self after working so hard.

While I make bold strides forward, I also observe my surroundings, checking on the other players actions.

I could see many players already kicking things off, some where gathering debris from the ship, or what was left of it. These players intentions were probably to buiid makeshift shelters just like the system adviced. The game might seem like it didn't have a hand holding tutorial but it gave important information with hints, it was left up to the player whether to listen or not.

There wasn't any penalty for not listening anyways, after all the game was supposed to be realistic, that's why it didn't have just one fixed main quest and ending. The destiny engine would shine in all its glory in this particular area.

I keep walking forward and admiring everything in sight, from the sand to the sea to the player that was trying to make fire whilst using metal scraps from the ship as makeshift firewood. I know it's a video game but common bro.

Leaving everyone behind, i walk straight into the forest, the trees are so tall, their canopies blanketing the blue skies making it darker the further one walked.

While making my way towards my goal I can see other players with adventurous spirits heading deep into the forest too. Very much like me these guys probably couldn't wait to get thier hands on some cool skills.

I smile to myself as I can see the game becoming a lot more interesting in the coming weeks.

Hissss!!

I turn vigilant immediately I hear a hissing sound, looking to the ground just in front me, there's a snake coiled and ready to strike at a moment's notice.

The group finally reached the Crimson brotherhood's temple. It was called a temple but in reality it was just five rundown houses that were somehow connected to each other, a second floor was built ontop of the others, the craftsmanship was simply terrible. Thier combined luck stats must've been the only thing that kept the place from crumbling and killing them all.“Are we seriously gonna fight in that death trap”, Rogue Josh asked with a hint of mockery in his tone.Dreamweaver could not believe his eyes either,” I feel like if we give them time, they might all die once the building collapses”.“I can't believe this”, Rogue Josh said while suppressing a laugh,”this, is the god-damned holy temple?“, houses made out of cardboards look sturdier than this”.Avatar001 clicked his tongue in dissapointment,” it is what it is”.A folded scroll appeared in his hands, “little mate, you will be put in charge of reconnaisance, this right here is a map of thier hideout, I need you to find all th

The carriage finally dropped the boys off at a transport station. This station was filled with vehicles going to other cities, settlements and towns in loranta and parts of the mid realms.Horseless carriages, flying hot air balloons, trains. The boys looked on in wonder at how seamless and smooth all the operations were. They boarded a small hot air balloon with a maximum of five passengers. This one was meant for short travels between floating settlements, the sirilan district was one of such platforms after all.The balloon took to the air with moderate speed, the group observed the world below like country bumpkins who boarded an air plane for the first time. The pilot chuckled at the sight, although not often, people like this would board his balloons from time to time. It was really a sight he enjoyed.Avatar001's eyes shifted to the other passengers, a woman with a baby in her arms, and a man with no expression on his face, he wore a big trench coat that covered everything from

The next day the group did nothing but train, rogue josh was experimenting with his skills for the better part of the day. Avatar001 successfully sold the grave howler for a 100,000RC, turns out it was a very rare commodity on the black market, the group split the cash before Mitchell Sanguinis set off on her journey to the church, it turns out she was always from the mid realm where the church was also located. She did say something about finding her flying mount in arcaze settlement. The rest of the boys had forgotten about her fake dragon for sure.Dreamweaver spent the day differently, he first logged out to gather information. He logged in at noon again to make preparations for the fight on their hands. He bought leather armor and a new hand shied slightly smaller than the one avatar001 had given to him during the grave howler fight. His heart ached at the expense but he didn't have a choice, untill he had his custom armor made he would have to keep spending on new clothes after

Mitchell Sanguinis stood before Dreamweaver, her back against the door, her figure was tense for reasons he couldn't understand but decided not ask, he wasn't one to care about people's past or trauma. So what did you want to talk about?, he asked calmly.Mitchell shifted slightly, a habbit she showed when she was uncomfortable.“I intend to return to the church”, she said softly.Dreamweaver eyed her for a second, draped in a loose gown that obscured her figure, her hair was still tied back into a pony tail, slightly wet but not enough to drip to the floor, “she must have taken a bath too”, he thought. His thoughts remained on her for a second longer than usual as he felt his heart rate rise slightly, he promptly caught himself as he focused his gaze on the window adjacent to where he sat on the bed.“You are free to do as you please”, he replied after some thought, “I have no desire to keep you trapped, I still don't know why my god's asked me to save you but that's something we can

Dreamweaver cracked his neck and fingers as if he was about to battle a demigod.“Demesne are an awakened, or beast's will made manifest. Think of it like domains from jjk, but since Mitchell won't know what that means i'll elaborate. When an awakened reaches a certain strength threshold, they gain the ability to influence the world around them in a much grander way. They directly influence the area they occupy and temporarily reshape it to fit their inner world. What the chimera used back there was only an incomplete demesne, it's level is too low to use a full demesne.“So technically, players will have the ability to use bloody domain expansions”?, avatar001 asked.Dreamweaver gave a nod,”I believe at level 40, that's the high tier threshold”.“Then why the hell was a lvl27 monster using one”?, rogue Josh asked. This time it was Mitchell who spoke up, “the chimera is not something natural, it's the product of alchemical experiments, the demesne it unleashed didn't hold even 20% of
