Damon saw himself dying, and one thing he regretted the most was the fact that he wasn't able to kill the remaining sinful angels and the Supreme witch, Orilas.

Orilas wasn't as strong as he was, and without the external help she got, Damon would have ended her right there. What was surprising to him the most was the fact that he had no idea how they were able to conquer him, but one thing was certain, and it was the fact that the Supreme being betrayed him.

Without the betrayal of the Supreme Being, no one else could have hurt him or killed him that way. "Was he scared? He's been going on about my growth for the past few years, and I'm sure I was starting to get as strong as him. Was that why he betrayed me?" He asked himself as he tried to figure out where he was, but all he could see was darkness.

"What's going on? Am I in hell?" He questioned, but there was no one to reply to him.

Worried, he tried to turn around, but he couldn't, and just when he was about to question his life again, he felt a soft, warm thing touch his forehead, and he groaned.

"What was that? It's so warm..." He mumbled to himself, and that was when he felt his vision changing.

It was sudden, but the next moment, he was able to see his surroundings, and the first thing he saw was a pretty, feminine face staring at him with the biggest smile he had ever seen. He stared back at the feminine eyes, trying to guess who she was, but he wasn't lucky enough to remember if he had even seen her before.

Turning his head, he looked to his left and there, he saw an averagely handsome masculine face staring at him with the same big smile as the other person and that was when his confusion hit the limit.

"What's going on here? Who are these people?" He opened his mouth to say, but all that came out was a soft cry of a baby.

"Oh! Marcus is awake. He is so cute!"

"Yes, he looks just like you, honey."

Damon frowned. Somehow, he knew the people were talking about him, but what were they on about? "Cute? I'm freaking handsome, idiots! I'm so handsome that your small brains can't fathom how handsome I am and you ugly things dare call me cute? Have you even changed my name?" He cussed, but all that came out again was a soft cry.

"Can't I speak again? Am I mute now?" He cried fearfully, his lips quivering. It was his first time encountering fear, and it gripped him hard.

He felt his body being lifted in the air as the woman brought him closer to her chest, and the next second, she watched the woman bring out her breast, placing it in his mouth...

That was when it dawned on him... He wasn't a fool to begin with, and right then, he knew something was wrong. He was a baby now, and this time around, he had parents.

During his years with the Supreme Being, he had watched a lot of kids grow into powerful angels, and he knew how helpless they usually were. He was always grateful that he was never born, so what had happened to him?

"Did that silly witch cast me into a baby's body? Oh, no! Am I going to start growing from a baby to an adult again?

"He isn't sucking. What's wrong with him?" He was still lamenting about his harsh fate when he heard the voice of the man beside him, and he turned his head to look at him.

"Don't look at Dad, Marcus. You need to eat so you can sleep." He heard the woman's voice too, and his eyes widened.

The name Marcus... It wasn't a name they bore in his place, and when he thought deeply about it, he remembered there was a place that had that kind of name... "Earth!!!" Damon cried!

He wasn't just cast away. He was reborn, and not just reborn, but as a human, for that matter, and on earth!

The heck!

Without warning, tears rolled down Damon's face, and he found it hard to stop the tears. It annoyed him that he was crying like a baby that he already was, but what annoyed him more was his helplessness. He was certain that sooner or later, Orilas or the Supreme being would find out he wasn't dead yet and they would do everything to make sure he wouldn't live.

They would cut short his existence, but how could he protect himself when he was just an ordinary being? He knew how weak people on earth were, and he knew there was no way any of them could face either Orilas or the Supreme being.

Damon let out a deep breath as he thought about his life, but this was the worst outcome he could have wished for.

It was hard for him to accept his new body and life. However, he had no choice but to accept it and continue living his life while hoping his existence wouldn't be found out.

A few years later...

Little Damon had grown into a 10-year-old kid and was still as powerless as every other human.

To make his life worse, his human parents weren't rich, and they had to work more than others to give him a normal life, but one thing about them was the fact that they adored him a lot. They gave him the love he never knew he deserved, and he was slowly starting to like them too.

Damon was in class one day when he felt a sharp pain at the back of his head, and he groaned painfully. He turned around to see what it was all about, but what he meant shocked him greatly.

Behind him were two students who had injured themselves, and they were both bleeding, but that wasn't what shocked him, if not for the fact that his head was bleeding too, and it was because the kids mistakenly hit him with the metal they were fighting with!

His anger grew, and before he knew it, he grabbed the hands of the two kids, yanking them away from their seats, before he ran toward them again.

"I will kill you today!" He cried, rushing toward them, but his legs slipped, and he fell face flat on the ground.

His nose hit the ground, and without being told, he knew his nose was broken because of the pain it sent through his body. He raised his head slightly only for his blood to drip into his mouth, and a strange sensation entered his body ~

Damon closed his eyes and slowly fell into the meditative stage. His consciousness blurred as he entered his own body, and right at the center of his belly, he could feel a drop of blood bubbling. The blood would grow and then decrease again. It was as if it was breathing. This shocked Damon. He had never seen anything of such before, and that beast, though strong, shouldn't be strong enough to create such a strange phenomenon in his body. Except that the beast was indeed strange. Damon couldn't understand why the blood wasn't dispersing in his body, but he also felt like the blood shouldn't hurt him either. Even if it did, he wouldn't let such a thing reside in his body. He steadied himself and began attacking the blood with the tiny energy of his body strengthening stage. He attacked continuously, but there was no effect. Damon didn't give up. One hour passed. Two hours passed. But the effect was still the same. Sweat was starting to form on his forehead. Damon opened h

  • CHAPTER 36: BEAST'S BLOOD

"We... We are sorry, Marcus. I'm sure Athos didn't know this." Lith apologized awkwardly. Damon looked at the guys, and he felt amused when he realised they were feeling bad for him. Why? They weren't the ones who killed his earthly family, so why were they feeling bad?He really couldn't understand these humans' thoughts. "It's nothing." Damon casually waved and walked over to his bed to sit. Right beside him was Martin whose gaze remained on him. The room fell into an awkward silence for a while before Luke cleared his throat. "Marcus," He called. Damon glanced at him. "Tomorrow, we are planning to visit the forest for our last hunting before the inner sect competition. Do you want to come along?" Luke asked. Lith perked up. "That's right. We want to grow a bit stronger before then. As you already know, our strength is among the weakest in the outer Sect, and if we are not careful, we might have to remain in the outer Sect for five more years. By then, it will be over for

  • CHAPTER 35: THE STRANGE BEAST

Damon was genuinely confused. He stared at the beast before him and slowly shook his head. "I'm not a beast." He had no time to wonder why he could understand the beasts' language. He knew he was running out of time. The beast also stared, seemingly confused. "You are not a beast?" It suddenly asked. Damon's brows creased. "I don't have this much time at the moment. Can you step aside, or do you want to fight?" He wouldn't let the beast cause his death. The beast frowned. "What do you think I'm doing? I'm here to kill you, of course!" It had lost its temper. Not only was the beast deceiving it, but it was also challenging its authority. How dare it?The beast's blood boiled. Damon swung his ICE sword and prepared for a fight. However, the beast immediately collapsed on the ground and began whimpering. "It's them." It cried out. "You are one of them. That sword... You are their new master!" It rolled on the ground, wanting to escape. "What do you mean?" Damon was confused. H

  • CHAPTER 34

Damon ran toward the direction of the forest. As the system had said, he only had a little more than two hours before he would die. Damon didn't want to joke with that. His life was important. If not for anything else, but for his family that died and for his revenge. He needed to stay alive and grow stronger. He ran as fast as he could, but the forest was far. He calculated the distance and concluded he would only get there in an hour or so. He had no such luxury. If he was to get to the forest around an hour, he would only have an hour left to look for a beast and drink it blood. What would happen if he was unable to find a beast within an hour? Wouldn't he lose his life then?Damon stopped on the way and panted hard. He wasn't sweating, but his breathing had turned ragged. He was exhausted. Running for a full thirty minutes without rest wasn't pleasant, and considering his failing health, he only grew more tired. He rested for a few seconds and began running again. Damon h

  • CHAPTER 33: DEATH IN TWO HOURS

Fred couldn't believe what happened. His eyes widened, and he glared at Damon. "You!" He shouted, but he was unable to complete his word when he fainted. Damon lowered his gaze to the sword in his hand. His brows furrowed. "This sword..." He mumbled. "Why is it so strange? The sword in this world should be low-level with little ability. Why do I keep feeling like this sword is even more powerful than the swords in my world? This strange feeling..." He was confused. When he struck Fred earlier, he could feel the overwhelming power that emanated from the sword. His heart had raced, and a feeling that the sword could kill him if he were to overuse it flashed in his mind. The sword was too powerful, and Damon was too weak. Weak... the word caused a bitter taste in his heart, but it only made him even more curious about the sword. "ICE Sword." He called, and he felt the sword tremble in his hand. His heart jolted. The sword had a spirit!"This..." Damon felt bewildered. "Swords with

  • CHAPTER 32: HIS FIRST FIGHT

Fred couldn't believe his ears as he looked at Damon. His curled-up body straightened up, and he turned around, seemingly searching for who Damon was talking to. "Are you talking to me?" He asked, his face filled with confusion. Damon frowned. He couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong with Fred. "Martins, how much did you beat him? He doesn't seem to be alright," He whispered, looking at Martins, whose gaze was still on him. Martin's eyes twitched, and he smiled, "He's just too weak. A single punch was all it took for him to lose his mind," He replied, his voice filled with mockery. Fred gritted his teeth; no matter how low the boys' voices were, he was still able to hear them, and that annoyed him to the core. "Hey, Punk. Who do you think you are?!" He yelled. Martins could be proud, taking into consideration his strength, but you? You are only in the 6th stage of the body-strengthening realm, and you think you can talk in front of me? Aren't you being too cocky?" Fred m
