Long Tian raised his sword and pointed it toward them.

"Do not use revenge as an excuse to hide your greed. You do not care about the people who died. You only want the inheritance in my hands."

No one refuted him because they knew Long Tian was right.

Several decades ago, the world had once been shaken by the emergence of the Four Unrivaled Scriptures and the Seven Sacred Weapons, legendary treasures believed to be capable of leading their owners to the pinnacle of glory. The appearance of these treasures triggered an unprecedented struggle for power, causing countless academies and sects to wage war against one another until the world entered an era that later became known as the Era of Destruction.

Countless people died during that period. Yet from that sea of blood, many powerful experts also emerged, some of whom would later be remembered as heroes, while others became villains and demons feared throughout the world.

Long Tian closed his eyes.

He knew his current situation.

There was no way he could leave this place alive.

Yet strangely, when he realized that death was already standing before him, his mind became exceptionally calm.

One memory after another surfaced in his mind.

He still remembered being born into an ordinary family that did not even possess much wealth. When he was young, his village was raided by a group of bandits, and he was captured to be sold as a slave.

While being transported to the slave market, Long Tian managed to escape and hide inside a forest. It was there that fate brought him together with an old man who would later become his master and completely change the course of his life.

Long Tian actually possessed considerable talent, but the trauma from his childhood had made him afraid of facing battles. He spent most of his time reading martial arts manuals rather than actually practicing.

Strangely, his Master never forced him.

The old man never scolded him for refusing to become a martial artist. Instead, he allowed Long Tian to choose his own path in life.

However, when Long Tian was seventeen years old, his Master died from an illness.

That death left a wound that never truly healed.

"If only I had started learning earlier..."

Long Tian opened his eyes and stared at the rain.

"If only I had been strong enough to save my Master back then."

Unfortunately, time never gave anyone a second chance.

Several years later, the sect where Long Tian lived became a battlefield and descended into chaos. Many people he knew died one after another, while Long Tian became one of the few who managed to survive.

The hatred burning within his heart eventually consumed him, causing him to spend the rest of his life training in martial arts.

Decades passed.

He became powerful.

Extremely powerful.

His name eventually became known throughout the world as the Sword Saint.

Yet after passing the age of seventy, Long Tian suddenly felt that his life had been completely wasted.

He had never had a family.

He had never married.

He had never even held the hand of a woman.

Long Tian smiled bitterly.

"When I think about it..."

He lowered his head.

"I have never even held a woman's hand. I spent my entire life seeking revenge, but in the end, the people I wanted to kill are still alive, while I am going to die without ever enjoying life."

He almost laughed and cried at the same time.

However, he held back his tears.

Then the memories of the past ten years resurfaced.

By coincidence, Long Tian had obtained one of the Heavenly Dragon Technique Manuals. He then secluded himself for ten years to comprehend the technique.

After emerging from seclusion, his strength had increased tremendously, and he began taking revenge on the people who had once destroyed his life.

However, that secret was eventually exposed.

People began investigating the source of Long Tian's strength and discovered that he possessed one of the manuals that the entire world had been searching for.

That was the reason they were all here.

Long Tian slowly reached his hand beneath his robe.

Everyone immediately tensed.

He then pulled out an ancient book whose cover was covered in scratches.

The eyes of every expert instantly changed.

"That!"

"The Dragon God Cultivation Manual!"

"Do not destroy it!"

Shouts erupted from every direction.

Long Tian stared at the book for several moments before raising it high into the air so that everyone could see it.

"Is this what you want?"

No one answered.

They merely stared at the manual with greedy expressions.

Long Tian smiled.

"Very well."

He threw the manual into the air.

Several experts immediately shot forward to catch it.

However, before their hands could touch the manual...

WHOOSH!

A terrifying sword energy suddenly erupted from Long Tian's body.

A brilliant sword light shot into the sky at an incredible speed and struck the manual directly.

BANG!

The manual containing the supreme technique exploded into countless fragments.

Its pages caught fire and turned into ashes before eventually being carried away by the rain.

Everyone froze.

"No!"

"LONG TIAN!"

"Have you gone insane?!"

"That is the Dragon God Cultivation Manual!"

Long Tian stood beneath the rain while staring at the ashes slowly falling from the sky.

Then he smiled.

"You are right."

His voice was exceptionally calm.

"The manual was indeed valuable."

He gripped his sword with both hands and slowly raised it.

"But you made one mistake."

Sword energy began spreading from his body, pressing down upon the entire battlefield until the ground beneath his feet cracked.

"You thought that because I am old, I would be afraid of death."

Long Tian's gaze turned cold.

"Unfortunately, I have been waiting for death for far too long."

BOOM!

A terrifying aura erupted from his body.

Long Tian stared at the dozens of experts standing before him.

"The manual is already destroyed."

His smile became increasingly vicious.

"So now, there is no reason for me to hold back my sword."

He raised his sword toward the sky.

"If I must die today on Devil Mountain..."

Sword energy filled the entire area.

"...then Devil Mountain will become the grave of every one of you!"

Long Tian was startled when he heard Hao Yan's story. For some reason, the story of a martial artist who had run for seven days and seven nights to save a baby felt strangely familiar to him. He slowly shifted his gaze toward the tiny baby in Hao Yan's arms. Long Tian's expression became increasingly serious as he recalled the name that had just been mentioned. There was a name he had once heard that had shaken the entire martial world, and he felt that this name was somehow connected to what was happening now.Hao Yan, unaware of the change in Long Tian's expression, simply smiled casually. He looked at the little baby in his arms, then glanced at Long Tian from head to toe as if observing something interesting."Tian'er, perhaps you don't know that this baby is actually a girl," Hao Yan said casually. "The two of you aren't that far apart in age either. If you think about it, the two of you seem quite compatible. How about getting engaged to each other when you grow up?"Xuan Mo's e

Long Tian's eyes widened when he saw the technique Hao Yan had used. It was not because he was surprised by the attack's power, which had been enough to split his opponent's body apart with a single move. What surprised him was the form of the technique and the way the inner energy flowed through it. It felt extremely familiar.Long Tian had once studied records about the various major sects of the martial world, and a technique like this belonged to one of the most famous sects among the righteous factions."That technique..." Long Tian muttered softly, his eyes still fixed on Hao Yan. "That's the Peach Mountain Technique."Long Tian remembered that the Peach Mountain Sect was currently one of the strongest sects among the righteous factions. The technique Hao Yan had just used was no ordinary martial art. It was one of the signature techniques of that sect. However, Long Tian did not say anything else. He simply remained silent, observing the old man with a curious gaze."Third Brot

"Tian'er, use this opportunity to observe the martial arts of Thousand Sword Mountain. Pay close attention to every movement I make, especially how I position my steps, control my inner energy, and look for openings when facing an opponent. Swordsmanship isn't simply about how powerfully someone swings a sword. It's also about how well they understand their opponent's movements. You may not be able to understand everything right now, but memorize every movement you see. One day, you'll understand why even a simple move can become deadly."Xuan Mo smiled gently after saying that. He then stepped forward to meet the attack of the man wielding a spear. The man immediately roared angrily as he thrust his weapon forward with all his strength."How dare you interfere with the affairs of the Red Scorpion Group! A young man like you should know that the martial world isn't a place for child's play. If you insist on standing in our way, then you'll become our enemy as well!"The spear shot for

Long Tian slowly handed the baby back to Huo Yan. His hand gently patted the baby's back one last time before he finally let go. However, his mind was filled with confusion. The name Huo Yan felt extremely familiar, and his strength was clearly extraordinary. Yet strangely, Long Tian could not remember what had happened to this martial artist in his previous life at all.If someone as powerful as Huo Yan had truly appeared in the history he had experienced, why did his memories not contain any clear recollection of him?Huo Yan carefully took the baby into his arms and smiled at Long Tian."Tian'er, it seems I'll have to trouble you a little longer. At first, I thought we could leave this place peacefully after dealing with that group. But judging by the current situation, it seems tonight isn't going to let us rest just yet. A few more troublesome guests have arrived. Their auras are much stronger this time, so you must stay close to Senior Xuan and don't do anything dangerous. I'll

Long Tian stood in a corner of the ground floor, holding the small baby carefully in both arms. In front of him, the fierce battle was still raging. The sounds of clashing swords, the shouts of martial artists, and the explosions of energy continued to shake the entire inn. Several tables had already been destroyed, cracks covered the floor, and the scent of blood was slowly filling the air. However, Long Tian's attention was not on the battle.Instead, he gently rocked his small body while patting the baby's back."Little one, don't cry. It's alright. The noise outside is a little loud, but everything will be over soon. You don't need to be afraid. I'll protect you here. As long as I'm still holding you, I won't let anyone hurt you."Miraculously, the baby really stopped crying.Long Tian breathed a sigh of relief. At the same time, however, a familiar voice came from the second floor."Tian'er! What happened downstairs? I heard the sounds of a battle. Are you alright?"Long Tian imm

The black-clothed man standing at the front shouted again. "Don't think you can escape death just because you managed to kill one of our Elders, Huo Yan! We chased you all the way here, and tonight, you won't have any chance to escape!" Boom! More than twenty auras erupted at the same time. A heavy pressure instantly filled the entire inn. The servants turned pale. Several guests immediately rushed toward the stairs to save themselves. Chairs were pushed aside, tables were overturned, and panicked cries echoed throughout the room. Yet in the middle of all this chaos, Long Tian remained completely calm. He neither shouted nor cried. He did not even try to hide. His eyes were simply fixed on the group that had just arrived. Huo Yan glanced at him and could not hide his admiration. "This child..." Long Tian, meanwhile, was deep in thought. "Huo Yan... That name feels very familiar. I'm certain I've heard it in my previous life, but why can't I remember it clearly? What I do kno
