Dawn had not yet fully arrived when the campfire began to die down, leaving behind glowing red embers that occasionally sent sparks into the air whenever the morning wind blew.

Xuan Mo sat silently while looking at the little boy in front of him. Although his face remained hidden behind the iron mask, his eyes still contained the confusion that had yet to disappear.

To be honest, he still found Long Tian's explanation difficult to believe.

Knowing his surname was not necessarily impossible. The name "Xuan" had indeed been heard in the martial world before, although not many people knew him personally.

However, knowing his full name precisely, and even calling him Master during their first meeting, was far too coincidental.

If the person who had said those things were an old martial artist, Xuan Mo might have immediately drawn his sword.

However, the person standing before him was only a five year old child.

A child that young could not possibly have fabricated such a complicated lie.

Xuan Mo let out a long breath.

"I don't know. The more I think about it, the harder it becomes to understand."

He looked at Long Tian.

"He is merely a child who has lost both of his parents. I cannot possibly leave him alone in the middle of a forest like this. Besides, he called me Master from the very beginning. Perhaps all of this really is fate arranged by the heavens."

On the other hand, Long Tian also had his own thoughts.

In his previous life, he had become Xuan Mo's disciple. His Master had sacrificed many things to save him.

Now that he had been given a second chance, he would not allow their relationship to be severed simply because of suspicion.

However, he was also aware that his explanation about the dream really did sound suspicious.

If their positions were reversed, he himself probably would not believe it immediately.

Even so, it was still far better than revealing that he came from decades in the future.

After remaining silent for quite some time, Xuan Mo finally made his decision.

"Brat, if the dream you described is truly real, then perhaps our meeting was destined from the very beginning. I have also never accepted a disciple in my entire life. So... if you truly wish to learn from me, starting today, you can become my first disciple."

Before Xuan Mo could finish his sentence, Long Tian suddenly moved.

Thud!

Both of his knees touched the ground.

Without the slightest hesitation, he bowed until his forehead touched the ground.

"This first kowtow is my respect for Master, who saved this disciple's life."

He raised his body again.

Then he kowtowed a second time.

"This second kowtow is my gratitude because Master is willing to accept a disciple who has no one else in this world."

Without waiting, he performed the third kowtow.

"This third kowtow is my promise that as long as I remain alive, this disciple will respect Master Xuan, protect Master's reputation, and never betray Master's teachings."

After saying those words, Long Tian remained kneeling while clasping his hands together.

"My respectful greetings to Master Xuan."

Xuan Mo froze.

For several moments, he even forgot to breathe.

No one had ever treated him with such sincerity before.

Especially not a five year old child.

A warm feeling slowly appeared in his chest, but at the same time, a sense of worry emerged.

Accepting a disciple was not a simple matter.

From that moment onward, the life of a disciple would become the responsibility of his master.

If Long Tian died one day because of his own weakness, then Xuan Mo would have failed as his master.

If Long Tian ever strayed onto the wrong path, that mistake would also become his responsibility.

After thinking for quite some time, Xuan Mo finally let out a soft sigh.

"Very well. Starting today, I acknowledge you as my disciple. But remember this clearly. Becoming my disciple does not mean your life will become easy. The path you will walk will actually be much harder than that of an ordinary person."

Long Tian's face immediately filled with joy.

"This disciple understands, Master!"

Morning finally arrived.

Sunlight began shining through the gaps between the trees.

Xuan Mo stood up and brushed the dust from his clothes.

"We have to leave this forest. This place is not safe. Follow me."

Long Tian immediately stood up and followed his Master's footsteps.

Their journey was still very long.

As they walked through the forest, the two of them talked several times.

The longer they talked, the more questions appeared in Xuan Mo's mind.

Long Tian's answers did not sound like those of a child at all.

His way of thinking was calm.

He could understand various matters with only a little explanation.

Several times, even the questions he asked forced Xuan Mo to think before answering.

"Long Tian, sometimes I feel that you are not like a five year old child. The way you speak is far more mature than your age. Are all the children in your village really like this?"

Long Tian laughed awkwardly.

"Maybe it is because I often listened to adults talking when I was young, Master. So I unconsciously learned from them."

Xuan Mo slowly nodded.

Although the explanation sounded simple, he chose not to investigate further.

As long as Long Tian continued to have a good heart and respected him as his master, that was more than enough.

Deep down, he instead believed that his new disciple possessed extraordinary talent.

After walking for quite some time, Xuan Mo started another conversation.

"Long Tian, there is one thing you must remember from today onward. The martial world is not a beautiful place like the stories told by storytellers. There is only strength and weakness. The weak will be trampled upon, while the strong decide the rules.

"If you want to survive one day, you must train seriously. Never become satisfied simply because you are stronger than someone else."

Long Tian nodded respectfully.

"This disciple will always remember Master's advice."

Throughout the journey, Xuan Mo did not tell Long Tian anything about the origins of his sect. He also did not mention where they were actually going.

All he did was describe the harshness of the martial world so that Long Tian could understand the path he would eventually walk.

Long Tian secretly felt a little awkward.

In his previous life, their first meeting had been much shorter. Xuan Mo had barely spoken a word other than telling him to leave with him.

But now, everything was different.

His Master was giving him far more advice.

After thinking about it, Long Tian finally smiled faintly.

"I really was only five years old back then. Even if Master had explained all of this to me at that time, I definitely would not have understood it. Now he thinks I am brave, calm, and talented, so he has chosen to tell me more.

"It seems that even though fate has brought me back to the past, some things can still change because of my own choices."

He muttered silently in his heart.

Long Tian was startled when he heard Hao Yan's story. For some reason, the story of a martial artist who had run for seven days and seven nights to save a baby felt strangely familiar to him. He slowly shifted his gaze toward the tiny baby in Hao Yan's arms. Long Tian's expression became increasingly serious as he recalled the name that had just been mentioned. There was a name he had once heard that had shaken the entire martial world, and he felt that this name was somehow connected to what was happening now.Hao Yan, unaware of the change in Long Tian's expression, simply smiled casually. He looked at the little baby in his arms, then glanced at Long Tian from head to toe as if observing something interesting."Tian'er, perhaps you don't know that this baby is actually a girl," Hao Yan said casually. "The two of you aren't that far apart in age either. If you think about it, the two of you seem quite compatible. How about getting engaged to each other when you grow up?"Xuan Mo's e

Long Tian's eyes widened when he saw the technique Hao Yan had used. It was not because he was surprised by the attack's power, which had been enough to split his opponent's body apart with a single move. What surprised him was the form of the technique and the way the inner energy flowed through it. It felt extremely familiar.Long Tian had once studied records about the various major sects of the martial world, and a technique like this belonged to one of the most famous sects among the righteous factions."That technique..." Long Tian muttered softly, his eyes still fixed on Hao Yan. "That's the Peach Mountain Technique."Long Tian remembered that the Peach Mountain Sect was currently one of the strongest sects among the righteous factions. The technique Hao Yan had just used was no ordinary martial art. It was one of the signature techniques of that sect. However, Long Tian did not say anything else. He simply remained silent, observing the old man with a curious gaze."Third Brot

"Tian'er, use this opportunity to observe the martial arts of Thousand Sword Mountain. Pay close attention to every movement I make, especially how I position my steps, control my inner energy, and look for openings when facing an opponent. Swordsmanship isn't simply about how powerfully someone swings a sword. It's also about how well they understand their opponent's movements. You may not be able to understand everything right now, but memorize every movement you see. One day, you'll understand why even a simple move can become deadly."Xuan Mo smiled gently after saying that. He then stepped forward to meet the attack of the man wielding a spear. The man immediately roared angrily as he thrust his weapon forward with all his strength."How dare you interfere with the affairs of the Red Scorpion Group! A young man like you should know that the martial world isn't a place for child's play. If you insist on standing in our way, then you'll become our enemy as well!"The spear shot for

Long Tian slowly handed the baby back to Huo Yan. His hand gently patted the baby's back one last time before he finally let go. However, his mind was filled with confusion. The name Huo Yan felt extremely familiar, and his strength was clearly extraordinary. Yet strangely, Long Tian could not remember what had happened to this martial artist in his previous life at all.If someone as powerful as Huo Yan had truly appeared in the history he had experienced, why did his memories not contain any clear recollection of him?Huo Yan carefully took the baby into his arms and smiled at Long Tian."Tian'er, it seems I'll have to trouble you a little longer. At first, I thought we could leave this place peacefully after dealing with that group. But judging by the current situation, it seems tonight isn't going to let us rest just yet. A few more troublesome guests have arrived. Their auras are much stronger this time, so you must stay close to Senior Xuan and don't do anything dangerous. I'll

Long Tian stood in a corner of the ground floor, holding the small baby carefully in both arms. In front of him, the fierce battle was still raging. The sounds of clashing swords, the shouts of martial artists, and the explosions of energy continued to shake the entire inn. Several tables had already been destroyed, cracks covered the floor, and the scent of blood was slowly filling the air. However, Long Tian's attention was not on the battle.Instead, he gently rocked his small body while patting the baby's back."Little one, don't cry. It's alright. The noise outside is a little loud, but everything will be over soon. You don't need to be afraid. I'll protect you here. As long as I'm still holding you, I won't let anyone hurt you."Miraculously, the baby really stopped crying.Long Tian breathed a sigh of relief. At the same time, however, a familiar voice came from the second floor."Tian'er! What happened downstairs? I heard the sounds of a battle. Are you alright?"Long Tian imm

The black-clothed man standing at the front shouted again. "Don't think you can escape death just because you managed to kill one of our Elders, Huo Yan! We chased you all the way here, and tonight, you won't have any chance to escape!" Boom! More than twenty auras erupted at the same time. A heavy pressure instantly filled the entire inn. The servants turned pale. Several guests immediately rushed toward the stairs to save themselves. Chairs were pushed aside, tables were overturned, and panicked cries echoed throughout the room. Yet in the middle of all this chaos, Long Tian remained completely calm. He neither shouted nor cried. He did not even try to hide. His eyes were simply fixed on the group that had just arrived. Huo Yan glanced at him and could not hide his admiration. "This child..." Long Tian, meanwhile, was deep in thought. "Huo Yan... That name feels very familiar. I'm certain I've heard it in my previous life, but why can't I remember it clearly? What I do kno
