The "don't touch" syndrome

"This will prepare you for the remaining three days you'll be spending here."

Ja Lia watched Poseidon walk off the aisle. The torrent of the sea at that portion of the depth wasn't as unbearable as he had thought. He was loving it there and would wish that he stayed there forever.

They had been walking through that room from one end to the other. He couldn't remember the numbers of days he had spent there. All he knew was the fact that Poseidon loathed Lailah and wanted to use him against her.

Of course, Poseidon had promised him lots of riches and one of the statues of gold he was standing before at that very moment. Who would die for such errand. Knowing fully well how wealthily he would live off the gold.

All he had been asked to do was just dispose of Lailah. Lure her to have sex with him. That was all. That could never be difficult.

Lailah was a sex addict. If there was a way he could make her pay for all the mess he had seeped him in. If he would make her pay for having sex with his two younger brothers. That was the only way.

He should be indebted to Poseidon. But Poseidon seemed to have more in his closest which was quite remote to him.

"I used to think you would dress me in armor to go and fight her."

Ja said as he followed Poseidon. The latter was heading out of the room.

Aside the three gold statues in the room and the numerous censors, he had no idea why the room had been spared.

He had been told that he was permitted to ask questions strapped only to his reason of being abducted.

Poseidon had once told him that if he wanted to know more about the orders of the ocean, he should come on a tour.

Poseidon halted at the door and turned to look at him,

"She's one of the smartest rulers of the kingdom of Philiah. You should know what that means."

He turned and walked out of the room.

Ja walked briskly as he could to catch up with him.

He loved everything about the Poseidon guy except how assertive he could be. And his bluntness and his long face. Damn. He'd never seen him smile.

Ja Lia walked through the door and the gate shut automatically behind him.

He wasn't surprised. He was already used to such magic.

Nothing in that kingdom seemed to impress him after he'd seen a lady eat an enormous live adder. That was the peak of it all.

But he always wondered why he wasn't swept off his feet.  Plus he could breathe under the water.

You know, it felt like something natural. Felt like he was living and walking on the earth.

He was sure that something had been done to him that made him to blend so easily with the underwater beasts.

He remembered that he was told that he was unconscious for a month.

He dumped the thoughts as he finally caught with the huge Poseidon.

The arms of Poseidon were so huge that they could lift Everest and toss it into the depth of Nile.

Call that an exaggeration, but he knew what he was seeing.

    "What if everything goes wrong?"

Ja asked touching the right arm of the eight feet tall monster.

He removed his hand immediately. A current went from the arm into his and ripped his mental ken apart. He thought he was brain dead for the next few seconds.

When Poseidon noticed that he was sane again, he snorted and munched,

"You seem to learn the hard way."

Ja Lia tucked his courage. His face was down. He felt violated but he knew that he did out step his bound.

They were standing before Poseidon's castle and there were numerous ladies attending to several sea creatures.

None of the creatures paid attention to Poseidon neither did they to Ja.

Ja could say that they were much more civil that humans. Humans that get knocked up upstairs whenever they get to meet a famous person.

Poseidon looked around for a while and said to him,

"If you want a thing to go wrong, it surely will."

He walked straight towards the castle. His long robe swaying to the rhythm of the worn winds.

Ja watched him lift the baby Nymph of one of the ladies standing at gate.

He ignored that. He felt crushed. He felt cursed but he knew that if he did it the right way that things would turn out well.

Poseidon had installed what looked like a horn in him. He didn't know how that had entered through his skin.

     Poseidon had often told him,

     "Do not try to understand."

He muttered. He had been told that the semen would come from the horn and immediately it fights its way into Lailah, his part of the work would be done.

The wind began to whisper and swept past the fall of his nose. He raised his head up to sniff the wiles of fate.

Then he heard a giggle coming from his leg. He looked down.

There was one of the babies of the Nymphs few steps away from him.

The baby was looking at him and gibbering amidst the giggle.

He smiled back at the baby and the baby began to crawl towards him.

"Bad idea, babe. Bad idea. Stay. Don't come."

He was chopping the words. Whichever the baby understood, the best.

But it seemed like all fell on the baby's deaf ear. She kept on crawling closer.

He began to move back. He shouldn't touch the baby. He shouldn't touch any of the living creatures there. He shouldn't.

The baby stopped crawling. She pouted. She seemed to had figured out that he was avoiding her.

But she was way too young to understand why. Well, he guessed.

The baby put out her hands to him. He sighed and muttered,

     "Hell of a stress."

He wasn't done speaking when the baby started crying. Such tears inspired by bully.

Before he could utter a word, all the working ladies were on him.

He had no clue how to explain. Everyone seemed to be against him.
