Chapter 9: Plot!!!

Lancelot, Cherry, and Dice became comfortable within the beast nation land and thanks to the stellar accommodation, they were able to settle in quickly.

They were given a place to stay and treated like royalty, in a beast nation sense of the word.

On this particular sunny afternoon, Lancelot sat with all the leading Chiefs within the beast nation land.

Every major family had a Chief as both a leader of the family and the representative of the family in the beast nation.

Over the years, a lot of Chiefs have been chosen but whoever had a higher display of strength and wealth had preference, making it an easy choice to be referenced as the top Chief of the beast nation land.

While Lancelot sat with the leading Chiefs, Dice took the opportunity to get ample sleep.

Also, Cherry had the time to practice her element more.

She felt that a way for her not to be a burden to her brother with the increasing risk and battles was to grow stronger, so she constantly practiced her element to improve herself.

Although Lancelot had told her not to be too concerned, she couldn't bear to be a useless defenseless sister, who always needed his help, with this strong point, Lancelot obliged to her demands to help her train and gave her instructions and materials to guide her training.

The air nation had found spies to spread the news of the savages they were chasing, to other nations.

They had also sent pictorial and bodily descriptions of their appearances, which had been circulated, some had even ended up being brought to the beast nation through air signals as none could enter the beast nation without undertaking the land test.

Lord Paige kalliester had offered a million gold coins for each of the deserters caught, which makes a total of 3 million gold coins for apprehending Lancelot, Dice, and Cherry.

He also gave a benefit of half a million gold coins for credible information that could result in them getting caught, this has naturally spread all around.

There were agitations in the beast nation from hearing the news, as the reward was so tempting to let go of.

Lancelot was much stronger than the beast-men could imagine so they feared he would be difficult to handle, and now that he could control beast-men abilities, it makes him even more formidable, so, they decided not to focus on him.

However, their interest was to get at least the 2million from trading both corpses or living bodies of both Dice and Cherry.

Back in the meeting between the top Chiefs of the beast nation and Lancelot, they were seated roundly in a large living room, in the center was a small pond in which fishes were floating around aimlessly, darting from one spot to another.

One of the Chiefs spoke first to break the silence.

"Lancelot, you have to be careful, beast nation members are not that trustworthy, especially when it comes to matters of money"  finished before another Chief butted in,

"High Chief Goro, how could you speak ill of our people, you should be defending them and not selling them out"

The Chief sounded disappointed as he spoke.

High Chief Goro then responded;

"The prophecy is more important to me than any race or tribe, it concerns the fate of the world, the safety of Lancelot, his sister, and his

friend is paramount".

High Chief Goro spoke with a look of determination the argument continued with all sides trying to raise their point perfectly.

Elsewhere within the beast nation, the son of the top Chief that was killed during the confrontation with Lancelot, had been harboring and nursing resentment towards Lancelot, Cherry, and Dice.

The circulating news gave him the perfect opportunity to enact his revenge. His name was Lennon.

Lennon had the head Of a fox and a fox tail extending from his anal sphincter while the rest of his body was humanlike.

He was surrounded by beast nation members that were loyal to his father. About ten of them were gathered around him.

"Lennon, we need to inform the air nation, that  the people they seek are in our land, since we don't have any particular problems with the air nation, things should go smoothly and we could easily hand them over"

One of the men spoke while waiting for an approving response but instead he got a retort by one of the men that disagreed with his statement.

"Idiot, what about the beast nation Land test? Do you think they can just waltz into the beast nation land without facing the test? Also with the way the air nation has been taking slaves, do you think they won't be tempted to attack beast nation members if they got the chance? I think we should think this through before we make a move" He finished speaking, causing the rest to nod in approval and mutter to themselves.

"So what do we do?"

The initial speaker asked, having a look of realization,

Lennon then finally spoke up, "We will kidnap both the girl and the other useless guy, we can save the last one for later while we claim the 2 million gold coins from the air nation"

They all nodded in agreement as if it were an insignificant matter.

Lancelot on the other hand had no idea that a plot was being made behind his back, while he was busy discussing with the Chiefs and preparing counter-protection for any form of invasion.
