Immediately, their hands landed on Mia's wrist; their expression changed as they discovered they weren't able to pull her even one inch toward themselves.

"You still want to take advantage of me?" Mia chuckled, still in her drunken state, waving her hands at the two.

"If you can't even drag me over, how can you be worthy of me," She continued, slobbering, while she struggled against the grip of the two men.

The two men's expressions changed upon seeing this. Though Mia was visibly drunk and looked rather weak, they were still unable to overpower her which shocked them to the core.

"You bunch of trash, you need to go and train for a few more years if you want to take advantage of me," Mai slurred, staggering towards the table and grabbing another bottle of alcohol.

Without a word, she opened the cork of the bottle and downed the content in one go.

"I don't believe we can't take advantage of you," The two men gritted their teeth and immediately stood up from where they were sitting and

Hours later, Zoey stepped out of the company looking worn out and tried. She had finally managed to finish what she was doing. But it came with a little bit of consequence, it was already dark.Since Jordan believed in her and had invested so much into the project, she couldn't let it go to waste, so she decided to work overtime that day so she could set things up."Get in, it's later already," Jordan's voice sounded, pulling Zoey out of her thoughts, a car pulled up before her.Nodding slightly, she got into the car and glanced at Jordan who was driving."Thanks for waiting for me, hubby..." Zoey muttered weakly, glancing at Jordan who was driving."If I didn't wait for you, who will," Jordan chuckled looking over at his wife before concentrating on the road."Besides, next time, don't work so hard, take it slowly," Jordan continued, glancing over at Zoey whose head was now on the seat, her eyes closed.A faint gentle snore came from her showing she was fast asleep.Seeing this, Jord

  • Teasing Zoey

(Five Days Later)"Jordan, Jordan, I have something for you," Zoey called as she hurried into the office, glancing at Jordan who was sprawled lazily on the sofa.Ever since Jordan took back his company from the Garrison family, he had stopped going out except when needed and would always accompany Zoey to work and be with her all day.According to him, this was the best form of repayment he could give her. Also, it was only under his watch that she was truly safe. It wasn't as though he didn't trust Mia and the rest, but he felt it wasn't still enough."What did you just call me?" Jordan sat up lazily, sitting up from where he was laying looking at Zoey who had run into the office excitedly."Jordan?" Zoey repeated, blinking confusedly."Was that what we agreed on?" Jordan raised his brows, staring at Zoey."But..but we are not at home..." Zoey stuttered her face going red as she understood what Jordan wanted her to do."Seems like you don't want me to check what you have for me," Jo

"What's wrong?" Jordan frowned slightly, looking up from where he was sitting."It's an idiot who's intentionally blocking the road, I wonder what he's doing," Azure Dragon replied, the anger in his voice couldn't be contained."Let's take a look first," Jordan suggested, alighting from the car alongside Azure Dragon.Alighting from the car, Jordan frowned slightly seeing the scene before him.Parked right in the middle of the road was a sports car. A figure sat on the bonnet of the car, calmly puffing a smoke as though he was in a random spot.Since the road was two way, cars coming from both sides were forced to stop. But strangely, none of those who had come to a stop neither said anything, nor did they have any look of dissatisfaction on their faces. They just watched the young man sitting calmly smoking as though he was some kind of deity.None dared to voice any form of dissatisfaction, nor did they dare to leave. They seemed to be all waiting for him to be done before heading

  • Does The Owen Family Know?

In a flash, three hours passed, Jordan and Azure Dragon were still where they were, no one saying anything to each other. Azure Dragon stood silently besides Jordan, watching every single thing in the surroundings, ready to attack anything that looked more like a threat. Jordan on the other hand sat on the bonnet of the car, staring into the distance. No one knew what he was thinking. His expression was blank and it didn't look like he was thinking about anything. He was just there, staring into the silence, not knowing what to do. He could still remember the content of the letter clearly. No matter how he tried, he couldn't find a hint to what he wanted. Who exactly were his parents? Just how strong were they to be able to look into his divination? Could it be that they had seen everything that was supposed to happen to him? A lot of thoughts ran through his mind at the moment and he didn't even know where to start. In a flash, another hour went by again. The silence rem

"Drive safely dear," Ava waved at Jordan who had gotten into the car. Azure Dragon nodded and started the car driving away almost immediately. Ava watched as the car disappeared from sight, shook her head and walked slowly back to the orphanage. She also has no idea who Jordan's parents were. At the same time, she had no idea what was inside the metallic box. Though it had been with her for a while twenty seven years, she had never tried to open it to know what was inside. Shaking her head, she could only hope Jordan was going to find the answers he wanted. Jordan and Azure Dragon on the other hand drove slowly along the highway. The silence in the car was a little bit heavy. No one was saying anything. "Remember to offer some financial aid to the orphanage when we get back," Jordan finally broke the silence, his voice a little bit hoarse. "Yes sir," Azure Dragon nodded, his eyes still on the road. He couldn't tell what his master was going through, so he just continued to dri

Hearing Ava's words, Jordan's expression changed, but he still nodded slowly, his brows narrowing into a thin line. "But how did you know?" He asked after a long moment of silence. "Your mother told me," Ava responded, not hiding anything from Jordan who froze the moment he heard that. "My..my mother...?" Jordan stuttered, not believing his ears. "Yes your mother," Ava nodded, the smile on her face didn't fade even for a second. "It all happened on a stormy night," She recounted, her eyes showing a hint of reminiscing., "Back then, I had just been employed and it was my second night here at the Orphanage when I heard a knock on the door,"FLASHBACK (Twenty Seven Years Ago) Thunder crackled in the sky.
