“Are you insane?” The driver was looking at Alan, he was not sure he had seen someone who would know it was them and even think of insulting them like that.

“Do you know who I am carrying in this car here?!” The man was looking at Alan, he was expecting him to fall on the floor and plead for his forgiveness.

Alan rolled his eyes, he was not happy in any way and he was also not going to say anything other than the fact he was not sorry for denting the car.

“I don't care if it was the Emperor you are carrying in your shit truck there, I would give you one advice and that would be to learn how to drive.” Alan was about to turn and walk away.

“You bastard, you better stop right there!” The man yelled, it seemed like he was not going to let Alan walk out on him like that.

“You just dented Lord Nixon’s car! He is affiliated with the Nixon heir and you dare do something like that and think you are going to walk out without paying for it?!” The driver was persistent and he was not going to let Alan walk away like he didn't do anything.

Alan paused, he was not happy that he had to keep up with a conversation like that.

He turned to look at the man yelling at him, what pissed him off was that the man was not in any way the owner of the car but he had taken it upon himself to make sure that he would defend the car with everything he had.

“You are rather foolish for driver, how are trying your best to make sure that you would defend something like that knowing that you were the one who almost hit me,” Alan was looking at the man he knew that there was someone else inside the car who decided to make sure he would stay out of the fight and watch what was going to happen.

“If your master had the balls you had he wouldn't be hiding inside the car, now if you excuse me I have to get to the venue I don't know about you,” Alan turned and began walking away, he was not going to waste his time there any longer.

The driver was looking at Alan walk out on him, he was not going to let him insult them like that and walk away from him. “You bastard! You better stop there-”

“Not another word Herold,” A voice came from inside the car, the driver paused in fear, he was not going to say anything cause he knew that the moment he did he would be dead.

“You think it will be nice if you were to begin yelling like a mad dog, I will meet this unfortunate being inside the auction house and he will have to pay for what he just did to my car.”

The man inside the car was looking at Alan, he was wondering who he was and why he thought it was a good idea if he was going to dent his car and walk away.

‘I will have his head on a platter,’ The man said as he watched Alan walk away.

Everyone standing close knew who the owner of the car was, he was someone who all of Verin feared and respected because of what he could do.

Mason Gonazle! One of the feared leaders of the underworld, but then Alan who didn't care who the man was didn't even want to know what it was he could do that made him some kind of feared man and it was clear he didn't care who the man was.

“Do you know him by any chance? For him to talk to Mason’s driver like that and not even begging them for mercy shows he is some kind of bigshot.”

“Or you mean someone who is pleading for his death, I have not seen anyone who would be that stupid to talk back to Mason’s driver and he is busy walking away like he has nothing to do there,”

“You’re right, he will be dead even before the auction ends and he will not see it coming from anywhere, he will be taken out.”

The onlookers had already decided Alan’s fate and knew there was no way for him to walk out of the auction house with his head on his shoulder.

Alan on the other hand didn't even care if he was going to be pissing off all the billionaires in the auction. All he wanted to do was to make sure that there was no way anyone would stop him from taking what he came for.

He got to the door of the auction house and he could see the guards there and he knew they were checking for invites.

“Your name?” the guard asked, looking at Alan, he was not about to let him walk in with no invite.

“Alan Spencer,” Alan was looking at the guard, he had Ben make sure that there was no loophole getting in.

The guard looked through the list, he spotted the name and nodded his head.

Alan walked in, he was not sure why the guard was looking at him like he spotted a bug.

Alan didn't really care and wanted to make sure that everything there was nothing going to be a problem when everything would start.

Alan looked around to see that the entire auction house was filled with billionaires in all angles. ‘From what I am seeing here, there is a chance they will be waiting for more people to show up,’

Alan was looking around knowing that there was a good chance that they were waiting for more men to come to the party and he was part of that list. taken care of.

The moment he walked in he could see that the room was

On the stage a man walked out, dressed in an oxblood suit. He had a tacky walk with an odd looking face. He stood in front of everyone before touching the mic.

“Please dear esteemed guests, if you would not mind getting seated the Auction is about to begin!” The man announced, Alan sat down at the middle row with zero to no body that would make him feel uncomfortable there.

He was looking around to see if he would spot anything off but then it was just a bunch of wealthy men who wanted to show off, he didn't want to get tangled with all that.

Alan was waiting for them to bring out the heirloom so he would be able to take it back.

While Alan was looking at the people scurrying in front of him, he didn't notice when someone sat beside him. The scent of well picked flowers caught his attention, he turned to see a lady sitting beside him.

She was as beautiful as they came, she had a voluptuous figure and curves that would leave men in awe of her presence.

“Mind if I sit beside you?” The Lady smiled, she was looking at Alan waiting for his reply.

Alan smiled, he didn't want to sound rude but then he also didn't want anyone to suspect that he was there for more than the auction.

“You can,” Alan said as he fixed his gaze back on the stage waiting for them to bring out the items.

The lady took a seat beside Alan, she was looking at him and from the looks of things she wanted to tell him something.

“You know, it is considered rude to look at someone that way,” Alan blurted out, he wasn't even looking at her but yet he knew that there was something out of the ordinary.

“My, you are quite the man aren't you?” The Lady smiled, she was still looking at Alan. “I am surprised that you don't know me,”

Alan rolled his eyes thinking that it was one of the many billionaires in Verin that would want to flaunt their riches.

“Am I meant to know who you are too?” Alan looked at her, not even trying to think twice about what she said.

The lady smiled as she adjusted in her seat, “As expected from Lord Alan, The Winter Blade always did have a quick response."

Alan paused, he knew that the lady was not someone ordinary. He turned to look at her, he could see the smile on her face.

“Now who in the world are you?”

Alan was waiting for the bidding price on the necklace, he didn't pay attention to the others cause he couldn't care less about them. "I take it that's why you're here? You want to take that Amulet?" Susan was looking at Alan and she could see that he was seriously looking at the stage with much concentration. Alan let out a cool sigh, he had a happy look on his face and it was clear as day that he was going to be happy to make sure that there was nothing going to keep him from taking it. "That amulet belonged to our family and it was taken from us wrongly, not only that there are more of the Wayne family heirlooms they are not even putting out on display but then they are planning to sell it, and they would give it to the highest bidder." Alan was not sounding happy when he was trying to tell Susan why the Amulet was important. "So you're telling me that those bozos have something to do with your family's death?" Susan had connected the dots, she knew that he wouldn't be thinkin

She didn't let that stop her from talking to him, “I knew that there was no way you would be able to recognise me like this but then I wanted to give it a try after I saw you talking to the Mason family driver like you didn't care,” Alan was looking at the lady, he then realised who she was, he smiled a bit when he did. “I never thought the Angel Of Death could wear a gown and look like an elegant lady,” Alan was looking at the stage, he was still smiling when he said it. “So now you recognise me, you are one hard head aren't you?” The lady was looking at Alan, she wasn't looking down anymore. “I heard you came down to Verin and I was curious as to why the legendary blade of ju

The auction was in a few hours and he needed to appear there as one of the oddest looking men so they wouldn’t think much of him. “So I really need to carry weapons with me?” Alan asked himself as he entered the car, Ben was seated there he was going to help Alan get to the auction with no problems. “Sir, I also got Intel that the people who are trying to sell the heirloom have connections to the remaining four heirlooms,” Ben gave Alan the run through of what he was going to be expecting. Alan sat in the car, he was sure that there was going to be an opening where he

Alan didn't want to let Ellara hear who he was or even get the idea that he was someone of that kind of power before it was time for him to reveal it to her. “So what did you find Ben?” Alan said as soon they were out of the room, he was looking at the man who came to give him the message. “We found one of the five Wayne family heirlooms that was taken on the day the enemy took out your family, they are trying to sell it at an auction,” Ben was looking at Alan, he could see that there were signs of him being angry. Alan was still shocked that they were thinking of selling his family heirloom in an auction and it was clear they had concluded that there was no one left in the family that would come back to take it back. “So they really think they erased all of the Waynes like that? This is something I can work with.” Alan was muttering to himself when he got the news. He turned to Ben, “So can you get me the information about this auction and where it is holding and the names of th
