"Well, the next item we need, the barks of the tree of life." David spoke.

"It's only a myth, even over here." Colleen responded.

"It's a fucking kids tale." Dana grunted, turning away from them.

"So how do we find a nonexistent tree?" Eder questioned.

"I don't know." David said, shrugging his shoulders.

"What about Gandu?" Dana asked.

"He's officially on our checklist on our one week journey to Ladus." David yelled after her.

"Quit it, you look like a bitch trying to be sarcastic." She responded. He frowned.

"Fuck you." He cursed lowly, inaudible for anyone but himself to hear.

"So that's the plan." Colleen spoke, they all were headed to the camp.

"The tree of life. Ha, what a joke." Meena spoke as they entered the camp.

"Even you? Aren't you supposed to be a grumpy old priest in the future? You are going to have a connection to nature…the tree of life!" Eden joked. Her face went expressionless.

"Bro." Eder spoke, placing an arm on his shoulder.

"What?" He asked.

"That was

  • Welcome to Fuck Land

"What the fuck do you mean by Fuck land?" David asked. Dana shook her head, slapping her palm against her forehead. "What?" He asked, seeing their reactions displaying disappointment to him. "Well, it's fuck land. A place we've always been told not to go to as kids." Meena replied. "What's so bad about fuck land?" David asked. "Let's just say, it's just fucking, hardcore 24 hours all day." Eden yelled. David scoffed, his head turned away from them. Colleen noticed his confusion and approached him. "See, it's called fuck land because it's practically a land of lust. It doesn't even have any established settlers there because it's a literal forest of Lush flowers and other plants which release specific toxins in the air that ignite some hormonal thirst for unstoppable sex. Well, unstoppable sex leads to…""Death." Dana completed. David frowned, this was more trouble than he had imagined. "So there's no way of getting through fuck land even if the tree of life was there?" He aske

"What should we talk about? I don't have a life like you do." The Dark One or Conrad, if preferable, asked. Gandu shook his head, getting off the bed. "Business has been blooming. The plan is working." He replied, picking a tablet on the table. He turned to Conrad, giving him the tablet. "What is this?" He asked. "The tree of life. I did a lot of geometry and triangulated its location. It's not quite smooth, however I've done that." He replied. Conrad nodded, tracing his fingers along the surface of the tab. "This is quite neat." He spoke, tilting his head towards Gandu. "Yes. So tell me, do you have Ares under control?" He asked. "Yes, and once I'm done I'm getting rid of him. He's quite foolish to believe that I need some father and son bonding time with him regardless of my need for him alive." Conrad replied. "You honestly should get to know him." Gandu spoke. He frowned, dropping the tablet. "Why?""There are things gods know. You don't know them. I'll say it's pretty wis

  • Hello, Conrad

"Did I hear you well?" Colleen asked. He had seen her first and told her what his next mission objective was. "Are you sure that's what you saw?" She asked him again. He nodded, his body still emitting fear. He stopped trembling, a wage of calm washing over him. Perhaps it was because he saw the fear in her eyes, or he did not want to appear afraid to her, self awareness enshrouding him. "Well, it's a level up mission, I've got to do it " he muttered. She hit him on the shoulder. "What the hell was that for?" He asked. "What's this sudden nonchalance from you? I get it you don't want to look scared, but you don't have to act like you don't care." She responded. "Fine, Mum." He spoke. "Unbelievable." She spoke, shaking her head. She turned in the direction of their friends who had all fallen asleep after their brief interaction where he told them the next thing to find. "Should we tell them now?" She asked, nodding towards them. "No, let them sleep. They look adorable." He res

  • Well what's next?

"Well look who's back." Eden spoke upon sighting David approaching them. They were on a road away from the mountains, their movements slowed down by the thousands of captive survivors they had freed. "Hey big guy." David waved back. Meena overtook him once more, just to pat her Bison which was a part of the caravan. She rubbed his head. Dana and Eder were at the front of the caravan and did not bother going back to meet up with the rest. They were still needed up front. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you guys were already far out away from the mountains." David spoke as they all caught up to the caravan. Eden laughed, facing Colleen who seemed to pay no attention to their conversation. "Ares's people were not really holding their end of the deal and Colleen just knew your ass was in trouble. Was it not?" Eder replied. "Yeah, she's pretty much my guardian angel." They stopped talking afterwards, proceeding on the journey. David at times took flight, scoping their environs f

  • Being A Better Father

"Hey." He spoke, his eyes fully opening, she flinched backwards a bit, fear evident in her eyes. He groaned, sitting up. She stood at a safe distance from him, not uttering a word. He understood her, she was afraid. Even he was afraid of himself in that form. His gaze darted to a few metres from him. Ares's decapitated head lay there, his body still oozing blood like water through a stream. He turned his head back to her, not knowing what he would say. Finally, the words seemed to come out, even as they did, he felt no comfort in them. "I'm sorry." He spoke. She had turned slightly away from him, still afraid. "I know I lost control there. I don't have an excuse Colleen, I swear I'm sorry." He added, feeling less weighed down on by the words. "Are you alright?" She asked, a genuine look on her face. He was taken back. He expected her to yell, rant, scream at him, treating him with the dignity she would treat a terrible person, but she didn't. She was only concerned about his well-b
