Honestly, when I first considered this plot in 2023, I was sort of in a bad place mentally and emotionally. I didn't have the whole thing planned, just the pilot which was a pretty rough draft. A year later, I returned to it. I was still in that whole emotional thing, and I couldn't just get to writing it. Come 2025, just a few days after my birthday, I decided to tell a story. Not just one of an adventurer, but one of a person who felt so out of place, and had no sense of importance, embarking on a journey of discovery, love and happiness. I'm sure this is going to be a big issue the readers will have, but level up never really followed the regular RPG/system tropes. Especially with how the missions and levels up with stats felt randomly input, rather than a progressive series of choices that affect his next actions. I know, and I did it that way.
