Chapter Three

It didn't take long before Ryan saw his body hurtling towards a certain point far above him at unimaginable speeds.

"Where am I?"

It seemed Ryan's question triggered a change, Suddenly the rushing motion stopped and he found himself in a realm that has several white pillars standing firmly and it radiated with a celestial glow

Ryan's feet slowly settled on the ground it felt solid yet it treaded like clouds.

"What the heck is this place?"

"How did I end up here?"

"I was supposed to be heading to work."

These were all the words that Ryan expressed trying to find an answer to the current situation that he was facing one he couldn't fully comprehend.

He walked around the empty looking interior which looked vast and completely void of any form of activity.

In his search for an exit a figure appeared clad in golden armour, the figure approached with gentle steps that nonetheless shook the air with raw power.

Ryan watched the figure approach as he hoped in his heart for any shred of information about this strange realm he found himself in.

"Hello Sir" Ryan uttered with a bit of fear in his voice.

"Ryan David I presume." The figure spoke in a thick but refined British accent.

"Yes how did you know my name and where the heck am I?" Ryan responded with an inquiry.

"I'm called Leonardo. I'm here to help you you're currently dead." The figure spoke in response to Ryan's inquiry.

"What! I'm Dead!" Ryan hollered as his voice echoed through this ethereal looking realm.

"Yes you're currently dead but if you're interested you can proceed to the Celestial Realm of rest. I'm aware of what you've endured throughout this time and I wish to help you." Leonardo spoke to him in a convincing manner.

"What do you mean by you know what I've been through?" Ryan inquired sincerely as he hoped to know the reason why.

"I'm a celestial being and I'm aware of a lot of the things that occur in your world including the death of your brother Dylan at the hands of merciless beings with 'Gifts'. Gifts that we're meant to be used for good but they chose the path of evil." Leonardo replied as he walked in circles around Ryan.

"So what's next?" Ryan asked hoping to understand the mysterious being's point.

"I have an offer for you to finally get back at those who oppressed you and have wronged you. It's time for the weak to no longer experience oppression." Leonardo responded as he halted his movements.

Ryan looked at Leonardo and he sighed as the memories came back like a rushing wave of the roaring ocean.

"Your time to die isn't now and I have an offer that'll change your life forever. There will be times of sacrifice, loss and destruction but you must strive to be greater and much stronger than you already are." Leonardo said interrupting Ryan's thoughts.

"Honestly I want Dylan back and all those who made sure he lost his life. I want to take them all down so that they'll never hurt innocent people ever again." Ryan responded while his eyes betrayed tears that he'd been holding back.

"I'm ready Mr Leonardo!" Ryan said in a determined tone with his eyes filled with tears.

"This gift I'm about to give you is not just a gift but something that'll save your world from a cataclysmic event that could unravel the universe itself." Leonardo said placing his hand on Ryan's shoulder hoping that he would ready his mind for what's coming.

"Do what you have to do!" Ryan responded as Leonardo pointed his palm towards Ryan.

A bright light erupted from his palm as it enveloped the entire room sending it into a state of extremely glorious brightness.

Ryan's body vibrated under an intense pressure that he couldn't explain, his mind and his soul was being transformed at an unimaginably powerful rate.

"What's happening to me?" Ryan inquired in confusion as his body reacted to the transformation.

Infact this body of his was his soul as it was gradually being reborn in a completely reformed state one that would change him forever.

Ryan then respawned at the exact location he was earlier in the mysterious realm dominated with white pillars, he looked at his body which was now inundated in a golden aura that was simply majestic.

"That's the beauty of it Ryan." Leonardo's voice boomed like a loudspeaker in the entire realm.

"You now have the gift I have given you. I want you to use this gift for the good of humanity to restore order in the chaos." Leonardo added as the ground caved in and Ryan plummeted at powerful speeds.

Instead of Ryan screaming for his dear life he didn't flinch at all as he felt a calmness so profound sweep over his soul.

"THIS IS THE DAWN OF A LEGEND!"

Ryan awoke in a completely different location as he looked around it took him several moments to realize he was now in a hospital somewhere in Megalos Central.

"I'm alive!" Ryan said in an excited tone.

It seemed like Leonardo really fulfilled his promise and gave me a second chance to right my wrongs. I'll avenge my parents and my brother.' Ryan said inwardly as he clenched his fist.

He laid on the soft white bed as a nurse ran toward him and checked his body.

She immediately tapped a few times on her phone as though she was sending a message.

Ryan was curious to know how long he had actually been in this hospital.

"Hello Miss?"

The nurse's gaze caught him and she prepared a response. "Hello Mr Ryan David it's a miracle that you're actually alive and well. Your pulse is normal and you show no signs of injury considering you were hit by a vehicle."

Ryan pondered on her words as he remembered it vividly that he was crossing the road when suddenly everything went blank.

"How long have I been in here?" Ryan inquired.

"Five months Mr Ryan you've been slipping in and out of coma for months now. It's a miracle that you're still alive and well. We never even thought that you would make it through the night." The nurse responded professionally based on her medical training.

It didn't take long before a medical doctor walked into the room looking at Ryan in particular as his professional mask slipped unveiling a deep shock within.

"Wow Mr Ryan it's a surprise that you're alive and well." The doctor said trying to conceal his shock.

"Oh yeah I'm grateful for that but how did I exactly end up here." Ryan responded with an inquiry.

"Some good Samaritans brought you to the hospital hoping that you'll receive medical care. You actually died today for a couple of hours according to our state of the art medical systems. It's fortunate that you're perfectly fine." The doctor answered Ryan's inquiry.

It was at this moment a blue holographic screen appeared before him.

Ryan's eyes widened in shock on seeing the holographic interface before him fearing that the doctor and the nurse would see it.

To his surprise they didn't they just checked his pulse and left him alone with other patients who were currently unconscious.

'What are you?' Ryan said inward seeking answers.

Ryan was filled with a sense of gratitude and surprise at the same time.

"This is super odd." Ryan said as he looked at the bluish holographic screen before him.
