The Betrayal and Escape of Nytri: A Noble Puppet

Nytri smiles, “Sure. I was born in Mirthendom, not sure if it’s still standing. But, I was born an orphan. I spent part of my childhood at a church that was running an orphanage. Good people, kind, generous and all those stuffs.” Nytri waves her hands around.

She continues, “I was living with the other kids who sadly I forgot about. We use to play a game of Knight and Princess. There’s even a movie about it now, there were days things were hard, so hard that I had to involve myself in a bit of thievery just to get by. I was always scolded by the nuns but there wasn’t really any other way to get food.”

The people present felt sad, Nytri continues. “A few months after I started ‘borrowing’ from vendors on the streets, I was adopted by nobles. That was the first time I laid on a cushy bed, it was so nice that I slept in the next day. They taught me to read, write, dance…. Well I couldn’t make progress with the dancing no matter how the tutor trained me.”

They giggle as she continues, “It was actually nice living a good life for once, you know. That also lasted for a month and things turned bad, apparently the nobles wanted to use me to marry into some family but news of my adoption leaked so he couldn’t do that. He decided to get rid of me, if he puts me back in the church again, rumors would tarnish his reputation. So he decided to get rid of me.”

Linda asks inquisitively, “Abandon you?”

Nytri tilts her head looking at her, “Kill me.” They all gasp at her words,

Marcus is furious, “But even if that was the case, he could made you work as a maid.”

Nytri spreads her arms at her shoulders shrugging, “Yeah, but the idea of a noble’s daughter working as a maid isn’t a good look for that noble house either. Death would make them look blameless, after all they can’t stop death.”

Nytri looks at the floor, “I tried to make myself useful with chores and others but they didn’t seem to care, they only care about themselves, their reputation. One day, I went to deliver tea to the lord on a tray, when I entered his room, he was absent. I took the tea to his desk and that’s when I saw it. A letter asking for a kidnapping.”

They all listen closer as some lean in, “I read the letter and saw my name on it.” They made their disapproval clear with the murmurings, Nytri continues. “It shook me so much that I nearly dropped the tray. I placed the tray down on his table and left the room, I tried to convince myself that what I saw was fake. Luckily, I read the day the kidnapping was to take place. That day I slept in the corridor leading to my room, waiting, listening, hoping what I read was a lie.”

Nytri shrugs, “But it wasn’t, and people broke into my room. That night my supper was bread so I had it on me along with sweets Sarah made me.”

Edward is teary, “Sarah? Please tell me who she was.”

Nytri looks at Edward, “Oh, Sarah was a maid serving in the house. She was the only nice person there, she would cuddle me as I slept whispering into my ear every night that everything was going to be alright. It took a while for to get what she meant.” Nytri shrugs.

“Anyway, they separated us and she was even beaten for interacting with me, she did manage to sneak snacks into my room so I really liked her.” Nytri smiles.

Nytri continues her past, “I ran the moment I heard noises in my room, I ran as fast as I could. I felt my heart become heavy with every step.

Nytri saddens, “It’s painful, really. You’re adopted into a family only to be killed just because they couldn’t use you and I was only 5years old then. That extravagant birthday was just made to celebrate my death, I wasn’t even allowed to speak to anyone and just stood there just the way they wanted but, *Sighs*

The sages listened intently to Nytri's story, their surprise and shock hidden behind their composed expressions.

Theron speaks up first, "We're sorry to hear about your past, Lady Nytri. But we hope that with our help, we can clear your name and show the world who you truly are. I’m sure that if they learn about this side of you, things might change and be better."

Nytri’s curious, “Which side? Whether things change for better or worse, I don’t give a damn about what they think of me. I learned to survive on my own, I’m not about to let some idiot’s opinion stir me up just because he thinks he knows better. I haven’t thought much of this but why do you want to clear my name?”

Theron looks into Nytri’s eyes, “Because I believe you are a kind person.”

Nytri raises a brow, “You do know being a kind person and a good person are completely different, right?”

Theron nods, “I know, some of your actions may not make you a good person but you have been known to show mercy and even helping those in need. The Grand Plan recorded on the 2nd floor is your selfless act to help the world, a world where everyone feared and hated you.”

Linda raises her hand, “I have heard of the Grand plan, thank you for thinking about the earth even when everyone was against you.” she stands and bows. Edward follows bowing to Nytri also,

Edward still teary, “If it wasn’t for you, earth would have fallen a long time ago.” Aia watches everything unfold with an indifferent look, her thoughts. “Well my mum is the best! But…” She looks at the people in the room, she isn’t liking the idea of strangers being around her mother that much.

Nytri’s thoughts, “I guess not everyone thinks like the old world.” And she speaks, “There’s more so just in case I will put us in a Time Sphere so by the time am done no time has passed " Nytri’s pupil has a faint gold light. With a snap of her fingers Nytri creates a sphere and time outside it moves so slow until it stops and Theron sees a bird frozen in the air but at this point, he isn’t surprise because of the stories he heard.

Marcus looks outside at the plane stuck in the air, “Umm may I ask a question?”

Nytri turns to him, “Go ahead.”

Marcus turns to Nytri with a twitching smile, “Since you have stopped time, is it for the world or for reality.”

Nytri chuckles, “I’ll have to get serious to stop time for this entire reality and I doubt I’ll be able to keep some existences frozen. But you could say time in the Celestial realm, Divine realm, Mortal realm, Under realm, and the Abyss or Abyssal realm has frozen.”

Theron is shock and whispers, “That leaves only 2 realms.” He assumed Nytri to only affect the earth or mortal realm at most.

Nytri gives a wry smile, “Yeah, I’m sure those 2 realms have beings strong enough to match me and maybe beat me. So I’d rather not provoke them.”

Sage shakes, “W….W……Would you please tell me the names of those realms, t… t… there are contradictions on the- “

Nytri smiles, “Sure, the Eternals realm and the Monster realm. I haven’t been to the Eternal realm before but considering how the universe is layered, I think they have strength comparable to the realm of Monsters.” They feel a shiver down their spines at the thought of monsters with similar or stronger than Nytri living a normal life.

Nytri giggles, “I will also add a projection with multiple perspectives so you can see for yourselves after all seeing is believing, now sit back and enjoy the show” Nytri grins and snaps her fingers again and a screen appeared.
