Thanks to the early warning , he was able to reinforce his chest with some chakra and avoid being severely injured , if the attack had connected properly then his chances of survival was minimal.

This move has made him realise that he couldnt fight with the bear head-on . He can not be careless in this fight anymore .

Chip has divided the strength of a ninja according to the original work - genin , chunin , jonin , kage , super-kage ; Bai chen has only practiced for three months and in these three months he was only able to reach up to level of a genin . Genin may in the ranks of ninja but in reality they are only a little bit stronger than an ordinary person , it wasn't until you reach chunin rank that you have a stronger body and enough chakra to release ninjutsu .

Being under so much pressure made his blood boil , he grinned and took a battle stance . Bai chen was really surprised by his own emotions, although he was never a serene person but he was neither a reckless one . But still he didn't suppress this feeling . For this fight Bai chen decided to refrain from using chip.

Bai chen had just stabilised himself but the bear already rushed towards him though it was slightly limping and threw another attack at him , the effect of terrain advantage also couldn't be more apparent than now , if it was a normal land then Bai chen could only hurriedly dodge it , but now that its movements are restricted an even without circulating his breathing technique which can highten his senses Bai chen had time to predict its attack trajectory and think about its next move.

The claw came from his right side, the power behind this claw was really huge so he didn't dare take it head on , he gathered some chakra on his feet and jumped backwards.

In midair , Bai chen took out few kunai from small bag on his waist and threw them at the opponent .

He was aware that these kunai couldn't deal much damage to it due to its thick hide , but due to the earlier traps there were many spots with showing its exposed muscles without any protection of its thick skin , if any of his attack hit there spots it will bring immense pain upon the bear .

According to Bai chen's current capabilities, he can only throw a total of four kunai accurately , any more than four will decrease his accuracy greatly .

Due to limited equipments or resources a ninja can carry , every weapon is an important asset which cannot be wasted and during a battle one will not get time to pick the weapons he has thrown as diverting his/her attention can lead to death .

Two kunai were thrown at its face just to garb the attention and rest were aimed at the wound on its chest and back.

Two sounds were heard at the same time followed by a loud roar . Two kunai which were used to attract its attention were deflected but made enough opening for the rest to hit their target .

Though this move couldn't inflict much damage to the enemy but the pain must be unbearable moreover it was constantly bleeding from many parts of its body and loosing its strength , the bear wouldn't last long if the fight continue .

If it was a ninja he was fighting right now then the damage inflicted from the traps was enough for him to retreat but the bear was just a wild beast and someone snatching its prey has further clouded its judgment which led to it falling into traps .

The stopped bear roaring , the pain made its mind clear and stared at the human in front of it and evaluating him , beast like him although didnt have higher IQ than humans but its still higher than other animals . It knew that he can't win against this human and he have to give up on its prey , this made him regret because for beast with chakra like him other beast with chakra were a great nourishment which can accelerate their growth .

With some regret the bear clumsily took a step back , this action was noticed by Bai chen and he knew that the bear was thinking of retreating , so he didn't give it a chance and gathered some chakra on his feet and rushed towards it with a sword in his hand .

Seeing that its opponent have no intention of letting him go the bear also dropped the plan of retreating and wanted to fight till death .

Bai chen sword moved at a fast speed and cut towards the bear's neck , the bear didn't try to stop the sword , it had enough confidence that the sword couldn't harm it and opened its maw and bit towards Bai chen , but everything didn't go as the bear imagined, there was no blood splashing instead the prey in front of it turned into a shadow and faded away .

There was movement from its right side and a figure rushed towards it from that direction . It seems when the bear was distracted by the kunais

Bai chen released clone ninjutsu and his real body flanked from the right .

Bear was confused about the current situation which slowed its response , taking this opportunity Bai chen sprinted towards the bear . He knew that his sword couldn't deal a killing blow so when he was approaching the bear , he performed the breathing technique, user inhaled the maximum amount of oxygen within a specific breath pattern and raise his physical and mental prowess to their utmost limits, he jumped and kicked towards the kunai which was embedded in its eyes .

'Puchi'

The kick caused the kunai to pierce the bear's brain , no sound was heard from the bear after that and its body fell on the ground causing water to splash everywhere .
