Chapter two hundred and twenty eight

***Cynthia's pov***

"The issue must have died down. I'm going out." I eyed Rosa.

"Mum? I'm telling you people don't forget things like this. Don't go out. It's dangerous and it can affect stocks and shares at the company. The corporation is at the verge of dying." She begged.

"What's your business? I need to go for shopping. It's very important." I yelled as i walked out on her.

I got into the car and drove off to the mall. I got down and I saw the glances and murmuring. I waved it off thinking it wasn't that much. I locked the car and took a few steps and people started taking my pictures and laughing at me.

Soon it became like a protest,they started calling me names like slut,pig etc and I was embarrassed.

I ran back to my car with so much difficulty as some people decided to be violent and started hitting me.

I got to my car and drove back home. I got into the compound and my body was red and swollen. They all hurt. Sone were itchy while some were burning.
