“Father?! Aunt Elina?!”

Selune jumped up, her eyes wide in shock as a flood of people burst into the room.

Her sudden movement nearly caused the towel she had wrapped around herself to fall.

She scrambled to keep it in place, her hands shaking with embarrassment.

Her perfect figure—accidentally exposed—made her cheeks burn, and her heart raced in shame.

But it seemed only to fuel her father’s fury even more.

Harold’s finger trembled as he pointed at her, his voice shaking with anger.

“What the hell are you doing?! Who the hell is this man?!”

He shouted. Seeing his daughter barely dressed, lying next to a half-naked man, was too much for him to handle. His heart almost stop.

Selune finally realized how easily this situation could be misunderstood.

“It’s not what you think! I don’t even know this man!”

“You don’t know him?!” Harold’s voice cracked in disbelief. “Your wedding’s coming up, and you’re sleeping with some random guy?!”

“No! Please, let me explain! He—”

Before she could finish, a slow, mocking round of applause interrupted her.

Elina sneered, clapping slowly. Her cold, contemptuous eyes locked onto Selune.

“Just like her mother,” Elina said, her voice dripping with venom. “A disgrace. A slut.”

“Your wedding’s in three days, and you know Ken Wells only wants virgins!”

She turned to Harold.

“But your precious daughter? Clearly, she’s no virgin now. What should we do with her, Harold?”

The humiliation hit Selune like a punch to the gut. She bit her lip until it nearly bled.

Harold’s face turned bright red with fury. His fists clenched, but there was nothing he could do to fight back against Elina.

After all, she controlled the family’s wealth.

With nowhere else to vent his anger, he swung his palm at Selune’s face!

“You! How the hell did I raise a whore like you?!”

Just as his hand was about to strike, a figure moved—fast as lightning—and grabbed his arm.

Selune squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for the slap. But the pain never came.

She opened her eyes in shock.

The man—still unconscious just moments ago—was now standing in front of her, blocking her father’s slap with one powerful grip.

The Griffin tattoo on the man’s back seemed to stare at her.

How? She hadn’t even noticed him wake up.

The man’s eyes were cold, sharp, locked on Harold with a dangerous intensity, like a predator about to pounce.

Harold screamed in pain as he tried to pull away, but the man’s grip was unbreakable—like iron.

“Let go of me, you bastard!” Harold shouted, but the man didn’t budge.

He just stared at him, calculating and relentless.

Harold’s face burned with humiliation.

His daughter, barely dressed, caught in the act with a stranger.

And now this man was making a fool of him in front of everyone—especially in front of his sister!

“Someone! Get him down!” Harold screamed, his veins bulging.

The bodyguards exchanged glances with Elina. After a nod from her, they rushed forward, charging at the man!

But before they could even make a move, the sound of bodies crashing to the floor echoed through the room.

One by one, the bodyguards were sent flying, smashing into furniture and hitting the ground like ragdolls, groaning in pain.

Selune’s eyes widened. She hadn’t seen him move.

One second, he was standing in front of her, and the next, her family’s men were sprawled across the room.

Harold and Elina stood frozen in disbelief.

These were professional bodyguards—handpicked to take on a dozen men without breaking a sweat.

But all of them, combined, couldn’t even land a single blow on this one man!

Elina’s face twisted with fury, but a flicker of fear passed through her eyes.

“Useless fools!” she snapped. “Get out of here!”

The bodyguards scrambled to leave, clearly eager to avoid facing the man any longer.

“You, young lady. You’ll pay for this!”

Elina shot one last glare at the them before fleeing the room.

As the last bodyguard disappeared, Harold collapsed, clutching his arm, his face contorted in pain and frustration.

“Dad, are you okay?”

Selune rushed to him, concerned about his injury.

But Harold, his anger still simmering, shoved her away violently.

The humiliation was too much. The storm inside him broke, and he couldn’t even look at the man.

So, He directed his rage toward Selune.

“Get away from me!”

“She was right! You’re just a slut!”

“From today on, you’re no longer part of this family! Get the fuck out!”

With one last furious glance, Harold stormed out of the room.

“Dad!”

Selune tried to call after him, but he didn’t even look back.

She stood there, alone, her heart shattering as she stared at the empty doorway.

How had things gotten this bad?

A single act of kindness—saving a stranger—had led to this nightmare.

It was all because of him.

Selune turned to face the man, fury burning in her chest as she glared at the stranger who had ruined her life.

“What the hell were you doing?!”

“I saved your life! Is this how you pay me back?!”

Since she was a little girl, Selune had believed that the only way to earn her parents and her family’s approval was by being perfect—by doing everything right.

Even if it meant marrying a pervert, she would have done it willingly.

But now, everything she had worked for, everything she’d sacrificed, had been destroyed by this stranger.

The man replied nothing. Then, without warning, he collapsed, his body hitting the floor with a dull thud.
