Charlie was jolted awake by the cold mechanical voice in his head. He opened his eyes to find himself in an unfamiliar place.

He was lying on a small bed with a beautiful girl in white overall standing over his head.

He struggled to stand up but a gentle hand patted him on the chest, "Mr Charlie, you should rest a little bit more, at least until the drugs take effect."

A gentle voice that sounded like that of an angel caressed his ears.

Oh shite!

I'm currently lying on an hospital bed?!

Who Will pay the bills??!!

'Who will fucking pay the bills??!!!' Charlie panicked.

"Where am i?! Why am I here!? What happened to me?!" Charlie almost jumped up from his bed as he saw the expensive looking bed he was lying on, and the expensive drugs by his bedside.

"You were rushed here by passerbys who saw you fainted on the road. How're you feeling now?" The beautiful nurse explained.

"I'm okay, thank you, " Charlie smiled as he watched the beautiful nurse rolled her waist with each step she took out of the room.

The memory of what happened then came rushing to him. It seems like he had binded with more than a hundred systems before he passed out. Another robotic voice sounded in his ears while he was still doubting if it was a dream or reality.

12:00 A.M…

[Ding! Damaged soul successfully repaired.]

[The Myriad systems manager advices the host to choose a system for this month.]

'I don't remember binding with any Myriad systems manager, what the fuck is your function?

Return me my 173 systems!' Charlie shouted in his mind.

[The Myriad systems manager is the host's talent, awakened to help the host manage the myriads of systems bonded with him. The host's soul power can not carry more than two systems, hence the reason why the myriad systems manager has been assigned to guide the host in choosing a system rotation plan for the host].

"Your name is too long, from now on I'll call you MSM, " Charlie said.

[MSM at your service master.]

"Finally, I awakened a talent of my own! Yes!!" Charlie exclaimed, thank God no one was here in the room to witness his crazy jubilation as he fistbumped the air.

"I choose the lord of wealth system." Charlie finally made his choice.

[Invalid Request! Please use the lottery spinner]

'what lottery spinner? You asked me to choose and i did as instructed…'

[Ding! Everything depends on the power of fate. Roll the dice, and let the heavens decide for you.] The system replied, then a large, transparent roulette wheel appeared before him. All 173 systems were written, each one at a segment of this large pie.

Charlie tried spinning it with his hands but he was touching nothing but air. He tried a few more times before finally giving up on rolling the wheel.

' system, roll the wheel of fortune!' charlie commanded, then the lottery wheel starts to roll. Charlie waited for a few minutes but the system didn't seem like it would stop rolling.

'stop' the wheel only slowed down when he commanded it to stop. The wheel rolled slowly before it stops on a column.

[Ding! Congratulations host, you have been granted access to the 'death seeking system '. One lottery point has been deducted from your system account.]

The Myriad systems manager announcement rang out in Charlie's ears. Then a transparent system panel appeared before him.

[Name: Charlie 

Talent: Myriad systems manager (Rank: ???)

Current system: Death seeking system (1month)

Ability(s): Nil 

Energy level: level 1 Green rank (lowest of the lowest)

'shit! Why can't it be the lord of wealth system? I idon't like courting death or looking for trouble. MRM, can you please change the system for me?' 

[Host can only choose a system randomly using the lottery wheel.]

'then roll that shit and give me another system'

[Insufficient Lottery point! Please recharge, then try again later when you have enough points!] 

"Then how do I get lottery points?" Charlie asked.

[Insufficient authority!]

[Trust me, you wouldn't regret ever using The Death seeking system. It'll give you the opportunity to be a hero and fight for justice. Do you wish to liberate the people in bondage? Or even fight for the oppressed? The death seeking system is the right tool for you.] The system voice sounded like that of a business man who's about to sell you a fake product.

"Fine, I'll manage this one for now," Charlie said, finally giving in to fate, "now, where's my welcome pack?"

[Ding! Welcome to the death seeking system panel. Since this is your first time using the system, you're gifted with a Newbie Gift Pack.]

[Check the system inventory for your reward.]

This time, it was the 'death seeking system' that rang out in his head. A transparent blue panel, with rows of words written in red fonts appeared before him.

'Open inventory ' Charlie commanded..

A large white space appeared before Charlie's eyes, it was a vast expanse of land, filled with nothing but white light.

A big, red box, tied with blue ribbons, was seen on the floor of this space. Charlie quickly opened the gift box by mentally commanding the system.

A bright light flashed as he opened the box, partially blinding him with its radiance.

[Ding! Congratulations, you just obtained 'The death seeking manual']

[Congratulations! You just obtained 10 Green rank healing pills, The Ghost shadow manual, The Earth escape manual, The seeker's sword (green rank), 50,000 divine coins, the seeker's boots (green rank)]

Without even looking at any other thing, Charlie quickly withdraw the divine coins from the system space. He opened the clothbag, to see a bunch of silver coins staring back at him.

'WOW! With this 50,000, I don't need to risk my life anymore, I'll quit the Military, Charlie thought, as he looked at the huge sum of money in the clothbag beside him.

As he was contemplating on what to do with the money, another system prompt rang out in his mind.

[Ding! New mission alert!]

[Mission 1: Join the military…]

"Fuck!"
