Lyra was completely shocked by her father's sudden appearance, almost paralyzing her.

Her father pulled her hand away forcefully. His grip was so tight that it hurt her. "Dad, let go."

Lyra tried to struggle; returning to the Winter family wasn't what she wanted.

She had been so comfortable living with Ludwig and leaving her abusive family behind. But suddenly, her father came and forced her to leave.

Lyra struggled to free herself from her father's grip. She pushed him away until he finally released her hand. "I don't want to go with you guys," she said firmly.

Henry was shocked. This time, he glared at her even more angrily. "You idiot. You chose to live with that poor man over returning to your family?"

"Family?" Lyra repeated what her father had said. Then, she grinned. "Didn't you cut ties with me?"

"You said I was no longer part of the Winter family," Lyra said sadly.
