Liam jolted upright with a gasp, eyes bulging open. His hand instinctively flew to the side of his gut, but it was smooth. No blood, no stab wound. Just bare skin.
He sat there for a moment, scanning the dimly lit walls of his bedroom. He looked down… his clothes were clean, a fresh shirt clinging to his skin. Liam blinked. “What the hell…” his voice rasped in the silence. His mind scrambled back to the images of the night… the thugs, the girl’s desperate eyes, the knife, the strange blue light in his chest before darkness swallowed him. He remembered it all too vividly. But it didn’t make any sense. He was in his room. Alive. Without a sign of alleyway violence. Then it dawned to him. “Oh! It was just a dream,” he muttered to himself, exhaling slowly, a wave of relief washing over him. Dragging himself to his feet, he walked toward the bathroom, staring at his reflection in the mirror. His face looked pale, but whole. No cut. No blood. Just exhaustion. “…God, what a nightmare,” he sighed, still shaken by his supposed dream. It had been so vivid, so terrifyingly real. He splashed water over his face, hoping to wash away the clinging dread, but it didn’t help. The memory felt too sharp. But he shook it off his mind, and trudged to the kitchen. The refrigerator creaked open. He pulled out the carton of milk and raised it to his lips, letting the cold liquid soothe his throat. Then it happened. Ding. A metallic chime detonated inside his skull. Liam choked, spraying milk across the counter. His eyes widened as something impossible unfolded in front of him. A blue, holographic screen flickered into existence before his eyes. [Initialization Complete] [Congratulations! You have received the Universal System] Liam choked again, spitting more milk onto the floor. “The fuck…?!” He stumbled backward. He rubbed his eyes. But the screen didn’t vanish. It remained there, as if carved into his vision. Hands trembling, he reached out for the screen. But his fingers passed through it. Like a projection. Suddenly, the screen flickered… then blinked out of existence. Liam blinked. Then he let out a nervous laugh. “Oof… for a second there, I thought I was losing my mind to…” Fwoom! The screen reappeared, larger. And it carried another set of information. [Welcome, Host, to the Universal System. The ultimate tool that will help you achieve everything you desire] [Please select a system module to activate] Liam flinched, his heart nearly leapt out of his chest. And below the prompt, three distinct options pulsed: [Lust System: A path of allure, pleasure, and carnal power] [Warlord System: A path of conflict, carnage, and strategic warfare] [Hero System: A path of righteous strength, unwavering resolve, and selfless protection] Liam’s breath caught. “Is this some kind of game? No. No, this... this is crazy. I must still be dreaming.” he claimed. But deep down, he knew the truth. This wasn't a dream. The screen, the texts, the inexplicable presence of it all… was real. His mind raced, a torrent of frantic questions. Universal System? System Modules? What did any of that mean? He remembered the girl from his dream… her breathtaking presence, her mystical glow. This was her. It had to be. Without much of a choice, Liam glanced at the screen again, his eyes darting across the options. They were all kind of vague but he was able to understand a thing or two. “Hmm, so this is like those rpgs where I get to pick a class,” he thought. “Well, this should be fun.” Liam reread through the information, his brain trying to pick up anything he’d missed the first time. And that’s when he realized something… his brain had completely missed the first option. The name and the info were so odd that he disregarded the option the first time. But now, he was reading it thoroughly. And for a split second, he froze, amused and stunned. His dry lips parted. “Lust System…?” he voiced out. “Why is this even an option?” The system responded with a chime. But it didn’t reply with an answer to his question… it was a response to his first remark. The screen flickered. The other two options, Warlord and Hero, faded instantly, replaced by a single, bold declaration: [Selection Confirmed: Lust System] “Wait… what?!” Liam froze, his eyes wide with horror. “I didn’t choose this. So why…” He paused, suddenly coming to a grave realization. He had mentioned “Lust System” earlier. And the system must have taken it as a selection. Liam eyes bulged. His blood ran cold. “Wait, no, that was an accident!” He shouted at nothing, waving his hands as if he could undo it. But it was too late. The System, indifferent to his protests, continued to scroll, presenting him with new, equally dumbfounding messages: [Lust System Activated] [Module Syncing with Host’s physiology…] [Sync Complete] [Lust System Functions have been Unlocked] Then another screen opened beneath the main one, neatly organized. ——————Latest Chapter

The door creaked open as Liam entered, a shadow falling across the dimly lit room. Xena was sitting at the edge of the bed, her arms wrapped around her knees, her expression torn between fury and despair. She had already put her clothes back on, having lost all hope. Her head snapped up towards him, her eyes glistening red at the edges. She quickly turned away, her voice sharp and brittle."Leave," she spat, though her voice trembled. "Go die somewhere else." Liam leaned casually against the doorframe, a faint chuckle slipping past his lips. "Funny, considering this is 'my' room," he said, his tone light but edged with resolve. He took a step forward, holding the bottle in one hand and two glasses in the other. "And for the record... I won't be dying tonight."Xena froze, disbelief sparking in her teary eyes. She turned toward him, voice trembling with fragile hope. "Wait... that means...""Yes," Liam said, closing the distance between them. "I've decided. I'm going to complete the
Tough Decisions
"Let's have sex."The words left her mouth, sharp and final, but the silence that followed was deafening. Liam's wide eyes reflected back at her like a mirror, shock, disbelief, fear.. but underneath it all, something else. Something vulnerable.Xena's own heart thundered against her ribs, and for the first time in years, the iron mask she wore as a Vonite princess began to crack. She forced herself to keep her chin high, her expression unreadable, but Inside, she was a storm."What am I doing?" she thought. "This wasn't supposed to happen. The system was designed for compatibility, for survival, for war. It was not designed for... this. Not for something so raw and intimate, not for a bond forged in desperation instead of strategy." She clenched her fist at her side, nails digging into her palm, grounding herself in the sting. But then she remembered her people... faces of soldiers, of children, of her father, waiting, hiding, losing hope with every passing year. The Vonite empire wa

The silence in the small room stretched like a blade. Liam’s breath still came ragged, his chest rising and falling as if he’d sprinted a marathon. The weight of her last words sat on him like an anchor dragging him to the bottom of an ocean. The girl sighed. Her eyes flickered with something softer, something almost human. She looked down for a moment, then back up at him.“Look,” she said quietly. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to put your life in danger.”Liam froze. He wasn’t expecting remorse from her.. not after everything. She continued, her tone steady but edged with genuine regret. “It wasn’t my intention to force the system on you. Things… weren’t supposed to happen like this.”Liam swallowed hard, steadying himself. The storm inside him hadn’t settled, but her words gave him something to cling to. His brows furrowed, suspicion mixing with curiosity. “What are you talking about?”The girl took a slow breath, as though steadying herself for a confession. “I should probably
Soul Bound
Liam’s eyes fluttered open, heavy and sluggish. His throat felt dry, his head pounded like a drum, and the faint metallic taste of blood clung stubbornly to his tongue. The ceiling above him looked familiar; cracked plaster, a faint water stain near the corner… the same he had stared at countless nights when sleep refused him. It was his room. And he was in his bed, his sheets were tangled around him.For a moment, he almost convinced himself it had all been a nightmare: the alley, the crowbar, the hooded figure… her. The memory of the girl’s sapphire eyes burned behind his eyelids. The last thing he remembered was her face hovering above him before darkness swallowed him whole. He groaned, lifting himself with trembling arms. His ribs ached from where he’d slammed into the dumpster. “How the hell am I back here?” he wondered. “Did someone drag him home? Was it… her?”But then something caught him… a presence. The kind of primal chill that skitters down your spine when you’re not a
Green Serpent
As Liam and Ben pulled into the dining room, they were greeted with a chaotic scene.Four men were trashing the place, flipping tables and knocking trays to the floor. Customers had already fled, the few who remained were pressed against the walls in fear. The men all wore green headbands, fingerless gloves, and their exposed arms were covered in tattoos. And on their headbands, stitched in dark ink, was the sigil of a coiled serpent. Liam’s frown deepened. He could feel a hot surge of anger building. But Ben, instead of shouting or lunging forward, let out a weary sigh. He walked calmly towards the destructive intruders, his hands held up in a placating gesture. "Gentlemen, gentlemen," he began, his voice remarkably even. "What seems to be the trouble?"The leader, a hulking man with a shaved head and a cruel smirk, turned his gaze on Ben. "The trouble, old man," he sneered, "is that your weekly tribute to the Green Serpent gang is due. And we haven't received it."Ben exhaled slo
Ben’s Burgers
Nate was the kind of bully teachers feared to touch… his father ran a gang, and that automatically gave him immunity. He ruled the school unchecked, and scholarship kids like Liam were his victims. The moment Nate and his lackeys walked in, the chatter in the class died. And the remaining students scattered, slipping out the door without hesitation. No one wanted to be caught in Nate’s shadow.Soon, the classroom was empty, except for Liam at his desk… and Nate’s gang closing in.“Heyyy, Nate. How’s it going?” Liam muttered, forcing a smile as the bullies reached his desk.Nate didn’t smile back. His eyes were cold. “The physics assignment, Queen. What happened?” he asked sharply. Liam blinked, pretending to be confused. “Huh… what assignment are you talking about?” he shook his head innocently.BAM!Nate’s fist slammed down on the desk, the wood rattling under the force.Don’t bullshit me, Queen,” he growled. “Or my fist lands on your skull next.”Sweat beaded on Liam’s forehead. He
