With the siren blaring through the building, chaos filled the entire space. Mason and the celestial assassin, now ushered to the back of the room, watched as the staff hurried around, trying to come up with a solution.

“P…please believe me, I have no choice!” Mr. Umar's voice echoed through the closed door as several bulky security personnel wearing red berets dragged him away. Mason, who had been patiently observing the chaos from the surveillance room, glanced at the woman who was whispering to the commander.

“Commander!” the woman yelled, her face pale as she dropped the phone from her hands. Mason, observing her, could see the fear evident in her expression.

“Yes, what is it? Have they made their demands?” the commander asked, his eyes fixed on the screen displaying the location of the front gate. The entire fence surrounding the building was completely sealed and electrified by the device mounted on it, designed to prevent anyone from entering or exiting the compound during a red

As the words echoed through the room, the sisters exchanged a quick glance and without hesitation, Cleodora reached for the control panel by the bedstand. The room gradually adapted, with the air becoming more saturated with warmth.Mason returned his gaze back to Fiona, who was still unconscious, all he could do was stare at her. Though he didn't understand the reason for the emoji suggestion, he knew it was important and could be dangerous if anyone were to go against it.The Silence in the room stretches, and the figures behind shifted restlessly, with their eyes fixed on him. Even without turning around, he could feel their gaze silently urging him for an explanation or perhaps a glimmer of hope. Mason sighed, straightened his posture, and turned to meet their eyes. How could he possibly explain his decision to turn on the heat without breaking any ru

  • The Call

The words slipped into Mason's mind like a warm melody, and time itself slowed, blurring everything around him except for the figure standing in front of him. A playful grin instinctively spread across his face as he slid his hand possessively down Cleopatra's waist, drawing her closer until he could feel the heat radiating from her."You’re not trying to kiss me again, are you?" Cleopatra muttered. You're going to ruin my lip gloss, Mason,” she teased.Mason furrowed his brow, pretending her accusations were assured. Betrayed by his eyes, his gaze dropped to her lips, and before she could protest, he cut her words with his lips. The sweetness of her lip gloss mingled with the softness of her lips, creating a taste he couldn’t resist. Cleopatra melted further into his arms, and her eyes flickered in surprise when a soft moan involuntarily escaped her lips.“Wow, sunshine, was that you?” Mason teased, stroking her flushed cheek.“Y...You're hearing things, Mason,” she replied, her voi

  • He asked

The evening slowly drifted with time, with laughter and clinking of utensils lingering from the corner of the room. Mason and Cleopatra, blending with its coziness, were lost in their conversation when the double door suddenly swung open. This time, Kelly entered with a proud smile illuminating his face. In his hands was a smaller plate that held desserts. The artistry was breathtaking, and the designs were nothing they had seen.As the final course, Mason couldn't help but stare at Cleopatra, who was completely entranced by it. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, moving from one dessert to another.“Is this a new dessert?” She muttered. “I haven't seen nor tasted them before.”Mason, who could say the same for himself, averted their gaze to Kelly, who returned the attention with a smile. “Indeed, it is a new dessert I have been trying for a long time but finally got it right tonight,” he replied.Mason, who made plans with Kelly to design a new dessert just for the dinner, furrowed h

  • De Laminour

“You booked the entire place?!” Cleopatra gasped, a hint of amusement coloring her tone. “How is that even possible? This is De Laminour; no one has ever booked the entire building due to its high reputation!” She added, turning to face him.Mason smiled but remained silent as he locked his gaze on hers. She stood close enough that he could almost feel the warmth radiating from her. When Cleopatra noticed his eyes wandering down her face, she chuckled. “Who the hell are you, Mason?” she whispered, urging him to reveal more. Mason stayed quiet with a sly smile spreading at the corners of his lips. The curiosity in her eyes only deepened as she studied him. “Well, at the moment, it doesn't really matter,” he finally said, pulling his gaze away. Cleopatra, unsatisfied with his answer, circled to his front, locking her green eyes on him. "It does," she muttered.Mason smiled, glancing back at her. “It's me, the guy you always had a crush on but never made a move on," he teased playfull

  • Here We Are

The ride downtown was cold and slow, lingering with serenity, which wrapped around them like a blanket. The familiar feeling made Mason increase his grip on the steering wheel. Despite his efforts to concentrate on the road, his gaze kept drifting to the figure beside him. Cleopatra, bathed in the soft glow of the dashboard lights, had a sweet smile at the corner of her lips. “How long are you going to keep staring, Mason?” Her voice breaks through the silence, while her head turns to meet his piercing blue eyes. Mason chuckled, seeing the teasing spark in her gaze. He scoffed, a guilty smile spreading across his lips. As addictive as her perfume was, he finally pulled his eyes from her, turning the corner. “We are here,” he muttered, and Cleopatra averted her gaze out the windshield to stare at the structure staring back at her with a view that made her lips part open. “The De Laminour!” she muttered, and even as soft as the word came, Mason could see the excitement lacing her ton

Mason's eyes followed his gesture. “So, you got her new contact?” His tone dripped with sarcasm, but unlike him, Mason could sense the jealousy hidden behind it.After the incident between them, Mason wasn't surprised Cleopatra had changed her contact so Marcus wouldn't be able to contact her directly.“How long have you known Cleopatra?” Marcus asked; the incredulity in his eyes was clear, causing Mason's to remain quiet as his calm demeanor.Marcus, seeing Mason’s silence, shifted his gaze from the vehicle to the man standing before him. “I know Cleopatra might not see it, but I know what you are,” he whispered with a smirk.Mason slowly lifted an eyebrow. “And what exactly am I?”The question lingered in the air, prompting a grin to spread wider on Marcus's face. “Unlike you, I have real connections,” he replied, his voice dropping with pride. “Part of those connections involves uncovering who you re
