2005

          Matilda woke up slowly and struggled up slowly, feeling pains all over her body. She realized that she is still in same Doctor Peter’s lab. She sighed heavily and held one of the tables in the lab for support.

“Steve?’ she called slowly, trying to stand strong.

“Hello” she continued and headed to the door. She opened the door to the secret laboratory and found herself in Doctor Peter’s room. She hurried out of the room, into the big parlor of the house when she heard a woman’s voice.

“Mom?” she called but to her surprise, she saw a boy and a girl with white hairs standing in front of her their playing toys on their hands.

“Dustin” their mother called.

“Yes mummy” he replied, still staring at Matilda. Matilda stared at him for some time and chuckled happily.

“Oh my God” she chuckled.

“Hey” little Molly asked Matilda.

“Your close friend” she replied and heard footsteps approaching the room. She hid behind the big sofa in the parlor.

“Come on babies, time for lunch” Eunice carried the babies and headed to her room. Matilda came out from behind the sofa and sneaked out of the house.

          She took the trace and headed to her parent’s house. On her way, she noticed some changes that took place within the two years. She didn’t see the tree in front of the house anymore, when she arrived.

“Hello” she knocked on the door and looked around the house slowly.

Hello” she called out loudly this time and the door creaked open. Matilda saw a little girl standing in front of her. she didn’t her, she walked into the house immediately and began into the dinning. She stopped walking after six steps and turned to the little girl that opened the door. The little girl stood behind her and they began to stare at each other. Matilda walked back to her bent down to the little girl’s height.

“Matilda?” Matilda asked the little girl.

“Yes” the little Matilda replied. Matilda stared at the little girl and smiled broadly.

“Chobby chobby chobby” Matilda patted her cheek and stood up immediately. She was frightened when she saw her mother standing right behind her, carrying a baby on her arm.

“Mum” she rushed and hugged her.

“Matilda” they embraced each other. While hugging each other, Matilda stared at the baby who was also staring at her.

“Steve?’ Matilda scoffed and Mrs. Brooks giggled.

“Sweetheart I’m really sorry for what happened to you two years ago”  Mrs. Brooks said after they separated.

“Two years ago? It was seven minutes ago” Matilda chuckled.

“It’s time travel honey”

“Yeah, what about Dustin Steve and Molly?” she asked curiously.

“I guess we are all still there, looking for a way to get you back and here you are”

“Doctor Peter seems to be affirmative in some shits he is doing, where the fuck is he”

“You haven’t seen him in 2005?”

“No I haven’t, I woke up in his freaking lab” Matilda said.

“No!”

“What? What’s no?”

“What if…never mind, just…never mind”

“Mum you are scaring me”

“That day Doctor Peter took you to this 2005, he has not been seen for the past two years now”

“Me too. You just saw me since then”

“Not that like that, Eunice said he could come back anytime he wants. According to Eunice, the clock was found on April 12 2005, today is October 9 2005”

“He tricked us” Matilda said slowly.

“He’s got the clock and you can’t go back to either 2003 or 2022” Mrs. Brooks added.

“Unless I find him”

“He’s missing Matilda”

A loud knock echoed on Eunice’s door, like that of someone fleeing away from a killing demon. Eunice reached for the door after the fifth knock.

“Hey!” she said angrily and opened the door.

“Peter? Oh my God” she was startled.

“She was here right?”

“Who? What are you talking about?” Eunice asked, staring at his hungry eyes.

“The girl with the white hair” Doctor Peter questioned her.

“Are you serious? Peter you have been away from your family for two years. You show up today and all you ask of is a strange girl you disappeared with two years ago. This is sick” Eunice blurted out.

“Good, she’s not here” he replied and hurried into the house.

“What…what do you mean?” Eunice said while closing the door.

“I don’t need her here, I want to do this all alo…hey babies” he smiled and opened his arms for his kids when he saw them standing on the bed in the bedroom. They stood there, staring at him, not coming for a hug.

“Don’t tell me they don’t recognize me anymore” he frowned a little,.

“Off course they don’t Peter” she replied and Peter stood well and brought out the clock and placed it on the bed.

“Peter what are you guys up to?”

“Changing the world, changing lives, achieving my dreams” he shuddered.

“See this?” he pointed at the clock and looked at his wife.

“This will change everything just as we wanted”

“W e wanted? Peter your children are still stuck in that past you left them. It may affected their beautiful future” she bawled.

“Beautiful future? Honey there is nothing more beautiful than this” he pointed at the clock again.

“What’s your plan Peter?” Eunice asked him slowly.

“I’m going down to 2003 and surprise the kids with my experiment. I got the clock, I did it’ he chuckled.

“I’m gonna use this clock and create not just an many time travel clocks, but a different multi-verse and they will help me” he said and chuckled again.

“Peter don’t hurt those kids”

“No I won’t. I swear to God I’m not gonna hurt anybody” he smiled and looked at little Molly and Dustin.

“I’m not’ he added and continued to his secret chamber. As he was putting the lock code of the door, Eunice looked at the clock and looked at him.

“Oh things don’t change’ he scoffed while the door was opening.

“Look Eunice I don’t know how this will sound to you but I think and I know that….” He stopped talking when he turned and didn’t see his wife in the room anymore. He took his eyes to the bed where he kept the clock and to his shock, the clock was missing too.

“Shit” he groaned angrily and headed out of the room.

“Eunice where are you?” he looked at the dinning and parlor but did not see her.

“Where the fuck are you Eunice?’ he asked and headed to the kitchen. Arriving the kitchen, he heard a whirring noise and rushed in.

“What are you doing? What are you doing? No!” he yelled and Eunice disappeared, without clock.
