Mia gasped and heaved in intense pain as she was held by Leonardo's men.

She felt her impending doom looming over her, and she burst into tears from both the physical pain and the pain that was to come.

"I am very sorry. I am sorry I hurt and disappointed you. Please let me go. I swear I would never do it again," she pleaded tearfully, groaning in pain as she spoke.

He turned to look at her, and the coldness with which he looked at her sent shivers down her spine, and she knew she was really in for it.

"Please," she begged, but he remained silent as they drove away.

"I promise I do not have anything to do with Liliana's disappearance. Truly, I sent men after her to hurt her, but luckily, she was rescued. Please release me, Leaonardo," she cried even more loudly, trying to buy some luck and gain sympathy from him.

He kissed his teeth with his lips and shot a glare in her direction, silencing her.
