But the man sitting at the back didn’t care about any of this; he can’t just wait to reunite with his family, his girlfriend who has been his source of strength all this while. It's been 8 years and now he can finally fulfill his dream by getting married to her.

“Is everything ready?” a bold voice with a lot of aura echoed.

“Yes general, you will be meeting with Jennifer Anderson in less than twenty minutes and also we are trying to locate the other girl you wanted to reward, we will proceed after this”

The man sighs of relief, the day he anticipated, the day he always hoped for is finally here. His return to Kingstonian where it all went wrong eight years ago, and now he is back to make it right.

His name is Antonio Nelson

Eight years ago, his middle class family was attacked by the business powerhouse of Kingstonian, making them run into bankruptcy. His father's attempt to save the family made it worse as he was lured into getting money from a ruthless loan shark; Gordon.

Antonio's parents died from the constant pressure and attack and Gordon still chose to come for his grandparent. That was the turning point for Antonio, he accepted Gordon's proposal to go work with someone at the seaport so he could get money to free his family.

At age 18, Antonio set out on a journey at the seaport, only to discover he’s to work for sea pirates. His attempt to escape almost cost his life, got severely wounded in the sea and ended up at the far Eastern border province where he became a soldier.

Eight years later, with his vibrant determination to live, he has successfully conquered the Eastern border and made it a nightmare for enemies. Rising to the position of the most feared and respected general.

The rank comes with a lot of respect, power and wealth, he has managed to get every information regarding those who attacked his family eight years ago, and it was three entities ; the SYLVESTERS, the Kingstonian KNIGHTS and GORDON the loan shark. And now he’s back to serve them cold revenge.

“I’ll make them pay for collaborating to bring down my family” Antonio clench his fist, pain evident in his voice

“We’ve arrived sir” one of his bodyguard uttered in a low tone.

Antonio's chest tightened, he couldn’t bring himself to understand what was happening. He stepped out of the limousine, the click of his boot echoed with every step as he advanced.

Then he saw a familiar figure, though more fragile looking now because of old age, his grandmother.

Bent over on her knees, scrubbing the pavement in front of the house. She was struggling with effort, dragging the brush over stained concrete.

A slender lady with long dark hair, putting on a designer shade appears to be supervising her. But she was too busy with her phone to notice the scene behind her. But her side view already revealed her identity; it was Jennifer Anderson, his girlfriend that he intended to surprise with a proposal.

Antonio still couldn’t believe his eyes stepped forward slowly “Grandma?”

She looked up, startled. Her fragile and wrinkled face lit up with joy and disbelief. Though she always has the hunch feeling that her grandson will come back alive someday, she has long given up and assumed it to be just hopeful thoughts, as it is hard for just anyone to make it back from the Eastern border province. “Antonio?” she gasped, dropping the brush to move towards him.

Jennifer turned at the mention of that name, her eyes narrowing behind her shade “what Antonio ! the one that will rot at the Eastern bord…..” she couldn’t complete the word when their eyes met.

She then scoffed. “ how did you make it back alive”

Antonio was boiling in anger, but he decided to hold it in. “ What is going on here?” His voice was low and dangerous.

Jennifer didn’t flinch, she tilted her head. “you’re back after eight years and that is your first question?”

Antonio's anger multiplied, he felt the urge to give her a brain resetting slap but fortunately for her, he doesn't hit women. Even though she deserves it. “I’ll ask again, why is my grandmother cleaning this floor?”

“She works here now,” Jennifer said, sipping the coffee in her hand. “That’s how she earn her stay here”

Antonio still couldn’t believe what he is hearing, he wonders if this isn’t the same girlfriend he has been sending money to all this while to help take care of his family. “But how is that so? You are my girlfriend and I also send you money to cover for the expenses”

Jennifer laughed uncontrollably. “Girlfriend? You must be joking, don’t tell me you took that high school fantasy seriously, and talking about money, you reached out to me seven months after long silence eight years ago, offering an installment payment . That didn’t meet up with the loan shark so I paid up and acquired this place for myself” she giggled. “I’ve always wanted a private fun pub for myself outside family knowledge where I can have fun with friends”

“ So my family house and legacy is your place for fun while also maltreating my grandma. Do you know the consequences of what you are doing?” Antonio voice echoed with a strong aura

A new voice cut through the tension. “Bodyguard? I doubt it. More like a stray dog who found his way back and wouldn’t know his place, I guess he must be a deserter”

Richard Johnson, heir of the Johnsons , the top ten richest family in Kingstonian, strolled out from inside the pub, slipping a gold plated Rolex onto his wrist.

Jennifer catwalk to meet him, hugging him tightly “ hey loser, this is my fiancé, we are getting married soon”

Anotonio right now isn’t bothered by their nonsense, he is waiting for feedback about his sister's whereabouts request he sent to his tech base minutes ago, from his smart watch. His phone beeps almost immediately and he picks it up.

“General, we have locate your junior sister location, she’s at YOLO club where she is about to get signed to begin career as a stripper, we need to take action” his PA Benjamin concluded

He put the call on hold and moved closer to Jennifer, he didn’t want to believe she can be so cruel to do this to his little sister whom she promised him is being taken care of.

“ Did you send Kate to become a stripper?” he asked, hoping its not true for the sake of what they shared.

“of course yes, she has been leeching off me too, and she has to work for money now also” she hit back, with no iota of remorse in her voice.

Now that was the confirmation Antonio need, he just confirmed he had more people to deal with outside the three entities that destroyed his family . he ordered the guards to take his grandma to the Supreme villa in kingstonian, Richard and Jennifer attempt to stop them result in the trained men making a light work of them and they fainted from the impact.
