Chapter 1
Chapter 1.
Kaiden Blackwood waited in the living room, his fingers tightening around the small velvet jewelry box and inside was an heirloom, an exquisite necklace passed down from his mother.
Tonight, he would give this gift symbolizing love and family to his fiancée, Astrid. Just thinking of this, Kai couldn't help but smile.
His Astrid was pregnant! Although the baby was only four months along at the moment, every time he thought about becoming a father, Kai would be beside himself with joy.
He swore that he would do everything in his power to provide a more comfortable and prosperous life for Astrid and their child.
Footsteps echoed at the door—Astrid was coming home.
Kai stood up eagerly, ready to greet her. But then, a soft moan drifted through the air.
"Oh, harder... right there"
"You little whore, you're so tight."
Kai froze, his body tense, his gaze snapping to the window. In that moment, his world came to a crashing halt.
It's Astrid!
She was almost naked in the arms of a strange man, wearing a lascivious expression that he had never seen before.
And the man who was eagerly kneading her breasts with an impatient look on his face was none other than Reginald Thompson!
A married man who made his fortune through his wife, living a life of debauchery after acquiring wealth through marriage. Any woman he could get his hands on, regardless of age, ended up in his bed. His pure, innocent Astrid... actually had an affair with this utterly shameless man!
Reginald’s hand slid up Astrid’s thigh, and in the next moment, he was about to breach the secret space between her legs.
Enough! Kai slammed the front door open and shouted, "What the hell is going on here?!"
Astrid was startled, hastily breaking free from Reginald and scrambling to find something to cover her nakedness. But when she saw that it was her useless fiancé, Kai, she quickly regained her composure.
Kai should be working overtime at the factory, earning baby formula money—so why the hell is he here?
"What the hell are you doing here?!" she quickly regained the upper hand, rolling her eyes with a vicious sneer. “Are you freaking blind? Can't you see what I'm doing?!”
Kai stared at the woman in disbelief—barely dressed, covered in hickeys. Was this really his fiancée, Astrid?
“Kid, why are you doing this to yourself?” Reginald said, amused. “Your fiancée clearly hasn’t been satisfied yet.” He shamelessly groped Astrid’s nearly exposed ass, and she moaned cooperatively.
“If I were you, I’d take the hint and scram,” he said, grinning with disdain.
Rage and heartbreak surged in Kai’s chest. He couldn’t take it anymore. With a roar, he lunged forward and grabbed Reginald by the collar.
“You son of a bitch!”
But Reginald shoved him off with force, sending Kai stumbling backward—and a delicate jewelry box fell from his pocket.
“What’s this?” Reginald, sharp-eyed, spotted it. Inside lay a dazzling diamond necklace, resting quietly on a bed of blue velvet. He scoffed and deliberately kicked the box away.
Kai’s gaze turned ice-cold. He tried to reach for it, but was deliberately blocked by Reginald’s rotund frame. The bastard was doing it on purpose! If anger could become solid, Reginald’s fat body would’ve been torn to shreds by now.
"This diamond’s so big and shiny, it's obviously a fake" Reginald said casually.
Astrid, dazzled by the necklace, was suddenly awake.
“Wait—don’t tell me this is why you came home early?” she said with a mocking tone. “To give me some knockoff garbage?”
She snatched the necklace and, under Kai's shocked gaze, hurled it forcefully out the window. Kai dashed to the wall, only to find the necklace vanished without a trace.
“There, done. Now get the hell out!” With that, she shoved Kai forcefully.
Kai was completely stunned. For a moment, he wondered if he was dreaming. How could the same woman who was sweet and gentle just the day before now look like a devil from hell—cruel, promiscuous, venomous?
“Astrid...” Kai’s throat tightened, his voice bitter. “What's wrong with you? Did he threaten you?”
“Come on, bullshit again,” Astrid rolled her eyes. “Fine, let me spell it out once and for all.”
“I never loved you. The kid’s not even yours!”
“You’re a good-for-nothing loser. Every single day with you made me sick!”
Crack. A string in Kai’s heart snapped.
Astrid had never loved him. The child he longed for—wasn’t even his. The family he bled for, sacrificed everything for—nothing but a lie.
Grief, rage, and crushing despair surged through him like a tidal wave, shattering the last pieces of Kai’s world until there was nothing left but ruin.
“How pathetic,” Reginald snickered under his breath. “Here—take this. Consider it compensation for the money you spent raising my kid.”
He pulled out a few crumpled bills and tossed them in Kai’s face.
Kai’s chest heaved violently. His eyes were full of pain. Reginald had not only cuckolded him, but turned him into a damn babysitter. And now he was treating him like a beggar, throwing money in his face.
There was no greater humiliation.
Kai clenched his fist and smashed it hard into Reginald’s jaw.

Kai turned just in time, his boot grinding lightly against the gravel as his gaze settled on the figure approaching from the shadows. An old man, stooped and slow-moving, walked toward them with deliberate care. He was dressed in dull gray robes that fluttered faintly with the wind, and he leaned on a wooden cane, each step measured as if his bones would snap from the weight of existence itself. His white beard hung to his chest, thin and unkempt, and his sunken eyes looked pale—too pale for someone with breath still in their lungs.“You shouldn’t go in,” the old man said, his voice aged and tremulous. “The cave swallows everything. Cultivators, warriors, even sect elders have entered over the years. None ever came back out. Not one.”Zora folded her arms with an audible scoff, already rolling her eyes. “Every cursed ruin has its old storyteller,” she muttered under her breath. “Let me guess. He’s going to beg us not to awaken the vengeful spirit inside.”Kai didn’t move. He didn’t ev

Unrivaled In The World: Rise of Kaiden Blackwood 104: A Beating Worth Remembering
The atmosphere in the hotel lobby remained tense even after Kai’s first warning. The guard, despite clearly shaken, straightened his back, clenched his fists, and stubbornly stepped forward again. His hesitation lasted only a moment—but under the piercing glare of his young master, it was enough.“You’re not going anywhere,” the guard said firmly, although the tremble in his voice betrayed him.Kai didn’t react at first. He stared blankly at the man, his expression unreadable. Then, slowly, he let out a tired sigh—long and dry, like someone bored of dealing with toddlers.“I was hoping to walk away tonight,” he muttered. “Guess that was asking too much.”He took a step closer, eyes narrowing slightly.“Get the fuck out of my face,” he said, calmly. The guard flinched. But before he could even weigh his options, the young master barked from behind him, “What are you waiting for? Restrain him!”That was the last straw.Kai didn’t wait. With a speed that seemed to blur the edges of the

The air in the luxurious hotel lobby shifted.Zora’s eyes twitched. Kai's jaw tightened. They had both just endured a cramped flight, a long ride across a city they didn’t know, and now—this clown? Kai didn’t move at first, just stared at the over-dressed brat like he was a stain on his boots. The manager came rushing down a flight of stairs the moment the loud demand echoed across the lobby. His shoes clicked against the marble, his smile oily and wide.“Sir! Sir! It would be our honor to clear the hotel for your private function,” the manager said, bowing so low it was almost embarrassing. “Your card will be processed immediately. Please, allow us—”Kai raised a brow. “Seriously?”The manager straightened slightly, hearing the irritation in his voice. “With all due respect, sir, can you offer what this esteemed guest has just offered us?”Zora narrowed her eyes. “And what did he offer?”The manager puffed out his chest. “Ten million yuan. Instant transfer.”Kai gave a soft snort. “M

Unrivaled In The World: Rise of Kaiden Blackwood 102:Flight To Greyhold City.
Back at Kai’s place, the atmosphere has shifted. The tension of the mission behind them gave way to something quieter, sharper—focused planning. The room was dim, the only light coming from the crystal chandelier above the mahogany table, where Kai had spread out the three maps like sacred scripture. Each map held coordinates—jagged lines, faded runes, and ancient symbols carved by a dying civilization. They were keys to the fragmented scrolls scattered across, pieces of a legacy too dangerous to be left forgotten.Zora leaned over the table, tracing one of the routes with her finger. “This one,” she said, tapping the first map, “is located inside Greyhold City here in Cresthaven. That’s in the southern quadrant. Closer than the rest.”Kai nodded once, already calculating routes. “We head there first. No delays. No detours.”Zora sighed and dropped into the nearest seat, legs crossed. “Greyhold’s at least a three-hour flight. You planning to teleport us, or are we flying commercial?”

Kai's gaze remained locked on the young disciple, cold and unreadable. His arms were folded, body relaxed, but his aura was sharp, sheathed just enough not to kill... yet. After a pause, he finally spoke."I'm here for the scroll," he said bluntly, voice devoid of pleasantries. “The maps—the one that leads to the fragmented scrolls.”The disciple stiffened immediately, eyes narrowing. His gaze darted toward Zora, suddenly sharper, more calculating. "Wait... you're the one," he muttered, pointing at her with a stunned look. "You're the thief that broke in three nights ago—caused that entire uproar. The one everyone’s still talking about. The map thief."Zora, unbothered by the accusation, simply grinned and lifted a hand in mock salute. “Guilty,” she said with a wink. “And my name’s Zora, by the way. You can drop the whole ‘map thief’ title. I think it’s a little... excessive.”Kai snorted behind her, arms still crossed. “That’s literally what you are. Might as well tattoo it on your

Unrivaled In The World: Rise of Kaiden Blackwood 100: Saving The Disciple.
Zora’s fists were clenched against her thighs, her eyes locked on the lone disciple pacing inside the sect master’s quarters. Her breathing hitched slightly as the tension coiled tighter. The muffled noise of celebration echoed in the distance, but here, everything felt calm.“He doesn’t deserve to die like that,” she whispered fiercely, barely holding herself back. “Poisoned wine? That’s cowardice. The sect master might be a bastard, but this disciple? He’s loyal. They’ll hang him for it.”Kai, standing in front of her, didn’t blink. He rested one hand beside her head. His eyes were calm—dangerously calm.“And that’s our business because?” he asked, voice sharp and cool.Zora glared at him. “Because it’s wrong.”Kai gave a low snort. “You think we broke into this sect to hand out justice pamphlets? Wake up. This isn’t your village, and I’m not your moral compass.”“He’ll die!”“He’ll probably die. Not our fault. Not our fight. Now hush it.” Kai glanced sideways, arching a brow. Her f
