From behind the clouds of dust and falling debris, all eyes turned to a single point. Silence. Tension. Those seconds felt frozen in time.

Then, from the dim hallway, two figures emerged—Hansen and Laotaro, their bodies surrounded by spiritual auras that made the air tremble. Sparks of lightning jumped from Hansen’s hands, and cold wind swirled around Laotaro, blowing the dust aside.

Alyssa’s eyes widened as she saw them. “Hansen… Father…” she whispered.

Without hesitation, she tried to run toward them, but two of Alex’s men blocked her path, weapons drawn.

“Don’t move!” barked one of them.

But before they could touch Alyssa, a flash of light struck from the side.

BRAGH!

Both men were slammed into the wall like rag dolls, instantly unconscious.

“I said,” Hansen’s voice echoed, filled with rage, “Don’t touch her.”

Alyssa immediately ran into Laotaro’s embrace, who shielded her, while Hansen stepped forward, his gaze like lightning ready to strike.

At the peak of a towering mountain shrouded in eternal mist stood the Black Wind Sect—a forbidden place not recorded on any map. Sealed off from the outside world by a Dimensional Obscuration Formation, it was as if the place had never existed. Anyone who got lost there… never returned. Inside a hall with strange carvings on the ceiling, an elder in a black robe entered the dark room. He knelt before a man with long silver hair and green-black eyes who sat on a stone throne. "Leader, Elder Jamin’s Soul Candle… has gone out." For a moment, silence enveloped the room. The leader’s cold gaze remained unchanged, but the air grew heavy—suffocating. "…Jamin too?" the Leader murmured, his voice flat, yet filled with a burning fury. "First Bama, now Jamin… both were my trusted men. My cousins." He stood slowly. Each step he took made the floor rumble softly, as if the earth itself could feel his wrath. "Who did it?" The elder shook his head. "We… don’t know for sure. But there is a way

He tried to lift his hand, but his body could no longer move.“You damned brat… The Black Wind Sect will hunt you… to your grave…”Hansen stared at him coldly. “Let them. I’ll bury them one by one.”Without hesitation, he swung his hand. A small bolt of lightning shot straight into Elder Jamin’s heart. In an instant, the old man's life was extinguished. His body twitched briefly, then stilled forever. In the corner of the room, Alex was being dragged by Stanley. His face was covered in dust and blood. He squirmed, trying to resist, but had no strength left.Hansen approached slowly, his face calm yet full of pressure.“Alex… You once had a chance to turn your life around. But you chose to be a puppet.”Alex laughed weakly, coughing up blood. “I… will rise again… I will—”A gentle touch landed on his forehead.A faint white light entered like mist, seeping into his mind. • Chapter 119: A Scented Trail

In the darkness of night, Hansen and Laotaro dashed swiftly through the shadows of trees and the ruins of the city. But Hansen’s steps slowed. He stopped for a moment, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath before activating his spiritual energy.A soft light shimmered faintly around his body, invisible to normal eyes. He sharpened his senses, tracing the aura in the surroundings.“There are three small energy points… probably regular guards,” he murmured. But suddenly, a larger surge of energy caught his attention. Not just strong, but dark… full of hatred. Hansen opened his eyes, his gaze sharp.“Laotaro,” he whispered. “We’re being watched. And one of them is not ordinary.”Laotaro halted. “Where?”“The north side… above the half-collapsed building.”Meanwhile, from behind the ruins Hansen pointed out, a pair of cold eyes stared at them. A man dressed in all black with the Black Wind Sect insignia on his chest stood firm, his body merged with the shadows.“So this is the man who k

Dozens of police officers in full gear swept through the airport area. Sirens continued to wail, piercing through a night already shattered by chaos. But the results were fruitless.“All CCTV from sectors 3 to 9 are completely destroyed, sir!” reported a young officer, his face dripping with cold sweat. The team commander, a burly man with a deep red beret on his head, frowned deeply. His name was Inspector Harlan—a man not easily fooled.“Destroyed? All at once?” He stared sharply at his subordinate. “Do you think I’m an idiot?”“N-no, sir… but that’s the truth.”Harlan sighed. His gaze turned toward the spot where a billboard had crashed down. Residual traces of foreign energy still lingered in the air, making it feel sharp and cold.“Someone used non-human power here…” he muttered. “Call the Special Division. Now.”Meanwhile, in a small alley not far from the airport, Hansen sat behind a closed shop. He regulated his breathing and wiped away a bit of blood from his suit.“That guy
