Ben thought Juliet must have been joking. His face told a lot of stories.

He did not want to believe what he heard. He couldn't. How could a man looking like this be related to the Krafth's.

Ben thought about it again. He realized he had not heard a reply from Juliet.

She just stood in front of the beggar worth her back to him.

Ben waited for her to talk before he pounced on Marcus.

Marcus moved in to hug his sister, after all it had been for, he saw her.

Huncho, seeing this rushed in. His head was pumping with all the anger he could muster at the moment.

How dare this beggar have any thoughts on his young miss, he thought.

He promised himself to teach him a lesson today.

Huncho moved as fast as he could. In fact, he believed he moved faster than he had ever done.

He had to beat up this man that dared touch Miss Juliet. He did not want to listen his job.

Huncho liked the lifestyle that came with being the security man of the Krafth family.

He liked the fact that he lived well, traveled a lot, and got to meet really important people.

He liked his current lifestyle. Huncho could literally afford most basic things people needed but didn't have the capability to get easily.

All these rushed through his mind as he rushed to the side of Marcus.

He decided to push him away first and make sure his young miss was safe.

Huncho's hand was almost touching Marcus when he heard a cold voice.

“Stop! Do you even know what you are doing?” Juliet asked in cold fury.

“This is my brother, your young master. You dare lay hands on him? Do you want to lose your job?”

Even a blind person could tell how angry Juliet was at this moment.

She turned to face her brother once again. She had missed him.

“Brother!” Juliet said.

Ben and Huncho could hear the catch in her throat. Juliet most likely wanted to cry. He was stunned

How could this have happened, he thought.

Huncho, on the other hand, went ahead and paid down on the floor, prostrate.

He knew this matter was his fault.

Right from the beginning, he had left his pager, which should have been on him at all times, elsewhere.

This was a lapse of duty.

He had tried to throw his young master, judging from the tone of the young miss, out of the area.

This on its own was just plain disrespectful.

He knew he might just lose his job. It all depended on what Marcus said.

The only thought he had in his head right now, was to apologize, with all sincerity.

So, the first thing that popped into his head was to lay down in apology.

Juliet on the other hand did not pay attention to any of this. She blatantly ignored both Ben and Huncho.

She pulled her brother's hand and dragged him inside.

Marcus had been in shock through the events that had just happened in a few seconds.

He did not know what to believe. He just allowed his sister to drag him inside the house for now.

When Marcus got inside, he took a minute and a half to digest everything he was seeing around him.

And this was still the entrance. He wondered what his sister was doing here.

She did not only look okay, she looked like she was doing exceptionally well.

Marcus looked at himself, then her. He realized why the people outside had thought he was a beggar once again.

He got confused with each passing second.

“Juliet, what are you doing in this big palace? Am I in a dream or what?” Marcus pinched himself as he asked these questions.

The acute pain he felt after this, made him realize he was in no dream. It was the real world.

Juliet took a second to sigh. She knew all of these would be rather shocking to Marcus.

“Marcus, I know this might be rather unbelievable to you, but give me a second. I'm going to explain as best as I got it,” she said.

They had gotten to a rather large and unbelievably furnished sitting room at this point.

She saw Marcus staring around, looking unsure of his surroundings. “You should sit down for this,” she said.

Marcus sat down. She knew with the look he had on his face that he wanted an explanation. He deserved it, she thought.

“I'm going to tell you what dad told me. I'm pretty sure he did not explain it to me well, but he will, when you meet him soon.”

“You should just listen right now,” she said.

“Dad told me after you left that we were a rich family. I was in shock, considering the way we had been living.”

“Richer than your wildest imaginations, he continued.”

“I did not believe him. I asked how he had kept this from both of us and why he had just revealed that after you left.”

“He gave me an explanation I was forced to accept. Dad told me he had been running the business anytime he went away to his work at the construction company he told us he worked at.”

“I will prove to you how rich we are, he had said. He made a call while leading me outside.”

“I saw the latest Audi C-series everyone had been talking about.”

“We got in and he drove to the biggest hotel in town. The Chandeleers.”

“We entered, with everyone bowing to both of us. A fat man looking like the manager rushed over, with security at his back.”

“I thought we were in trouble. I looked at Dad and I could see him smile at me, telling me not to worry.”

“Mr Krafth, you are here, the manager said while bowing.”

“I had noticed the security men also bowing in tandem with the manager.”

“This is your young miss, dad had said. They all bowed to me. My brain was almost fried at this point. I struggled to take it all in.” Juliet said.

“Dad led me to the penthouse in the hotel. It was on the forty-sixth floor. I just followed behind him.”

“He told me in the elevator that this hotel was just one small place that our family owned.”

“He reminded me at that point, that the Krafth family we had always heard about, was our family.”

“I had at this point been shocked beyond words. Why? I had asked him. Why did you not tell us all these before Marcus left home?”

“Dad told me, he said, it was a tradition in the family for ages.”

“A test laid down by the ancestors of the Krafth family.”

“All heirs in the family had to pass through hard and harsh times, so they could become the successful man they were meant to become.”

“Marcus, you were sent away because of this test.” Juliet said.

Marcus was just dumbfounded. His whole life had been turned upside down into these short moments.

He did not know how to feel. He knew this was the biggest shock he had ever had, and this was considering he had been shocked a lot these past days.

Chapter 148 Marcus looked at Belle. She was trying to hide her curiosity under her gaze but was it doing that good of a job. Marcus understood that she did not want to ask Kevin present, just in case there was something Marcus did not want him to hear. “It's alright Belle. Kevin is my lawyer and he's going to be the one representing me in my divorce case, that is happening today, and it is where I need to be first.” “How about I drop you off at work and we go on to the court and we would meet you back at the office when we are done?" Marcus asked. Deep down, he knew Belle would not choose to do this, instead she would want to follow him for support or whatever else she deemed appropriate, but she still needed to ask. “Young master, I'd like to go with you to the court, and from there we can go on to the factory when the case is over at the court,” Belle said. Marcus was right. He knew for sure this was what she would say, and he was in no mood to argue with anyon

Chapter 147 Marcus slowly drifted off to sleep, after thinking about the next day for a while. His room had a soundtrack of crashing waves that had been installed since they built the hotel. When Marcus found it some weeks ago, he had started using it, and it worked really well for him. Before, Marcus had found it quite hard to sleep off, but with the soundtrack of crashing waves sounding, he found it easy to sleep, and that was what he had started doing. Marcus slept off before he knew it. The day had not been as long as it normally was, but he needed that extra rest for tomorrow, and he was not feeling too hungry before he slept, so he just chose to go ahead to sleep. The clock in his room’s slow and consistent tick was the only reminder that time was passing really fast. The blinds in Marcus's room were so thick that it blocked off the light even during the day, not to even talk about the night. After a while, Marcus had woken up. He picked up the remote on the

Chapter 146 Marcus had just laid on his bed for a while, and had slowly started to drift off when his phone rang. He rolled his eyes in the dim lights of the room, as he moved and his shadow long and dark moved along with him. It was a mesmerizing sight for anyone who could see it. It was just that no one would have the pleasure of doing that. But that was not what was on Marcus's mind. He rolled over to the end of the bed where he had dropped the phone, picked it up and looked at the name of the person calling his phone. It was Luiz. It seemed like he had completed his task, Marcus thought. He hoped Luiz had not done too much and gotten caught. Because if he had, he would have made Dominic aware of the fact that they already knew he was a spy. The task he had given Luiz was fairly easy. He had been asked to follow Dominic from far off and not make him aware he was being followed. The key thing they needed to know was where he lived and ascertaining the presence of

Chapter 145 Marcus told them that he had a friend that was going to be staying in the hotel too. Kevin peeked from the back of Marcus and greeted the two ladies, to which both of them bowed their heads slightly. Being respectful to Marcus because of his identity also meant that they had to be respectful to his friends. Especially this kind of one that he brought to stay in the hotel with him. Mel and her partner nodded their heads. They knew what to do. So, they prepared a suite just like the one Belle was still staying in. It was the topmost grade of suite in the hotel, and only reserved for the most extremely famous people. Even if you had the money, you would not necessarily be able to get into this kind of suite in the hotel. It also had a limited amount, so it got quickly exhausted. Though Kevin was not really famous, but, since he was recommended by Marcus, the receptionists knew to give him the best type of suite they had. They promised to prepare one for h

  • Chapter 144

Chapter 144 He had never mentioned anything about his father, and his friends did not ask either. Now, Dominic was back inside his house and he could not hear any sound at all. Not from his mother or even from his sister who would reasonably be loud due to the fact that her brother had gotten back from work, even when it was this late. But nothing of the sort seemed to happen. It was just silence throughout. Luiz was however satisfied with himself. His job in following Dominic was to find out where he lived. This was what Marcus had asked him to do. He did not want to be seen as doing too much, in case he got caught. Beaming with satisfaction, and after waiting for over ten minutes, he started walking back to where he had parked his car. Luiiz was walking in places where the light was not too bright. He did not want to take a game of risk regarding people in the community. He did not want them to be suspicious since they had not seen him in their neighborhood well. T

  • Chapter 143

Chapter 143 However, it was just the paranoia. It made his behavioral pattern compulsory.Dominic could not take any chance. He still wanted to see his family. He hoped they would not be killed, and the only way for him to preserve their life was to do what was asked of him and not be caught. Immediately he was caught, he would be useless to the people that were using him and they would not allow his family to leave since they also were of no use to them. Dominic understood this, but this was still not something he could bear. Luiz had started getting quite impatient as Dominic had kept on stopping, and now this was their fifth stop, after going round this same neighborhood for the third time. He wanted to drive away or maybe even drive up to Dominic and ask to go to his house. But this was not the sensible thing to do. It would ruin the plan Marcus had made and would literally just be counterproductive. This was not something Luiz wanted to see happen. So,
