Chapter 11

“Dave Woodsward, you can do better, don’t you think so?” Mark smirked before replying.

“What do you take me for? A fool? How stupid of you to think I wasn’t going to know you were the one on the other side of the call.” As soon as he spoke, Dave’s jaw dropped.

He no longer had that fighting spirit, the rage with which he had used to call suddenly disappeared.

“What, you can’t talk any longer? You had better talk, cause I’m willing to repeat all those words I mentioned at the supermarket.” At that point, Mark was willing to trash out all what he had kept in mind. It was quite unfortunate for him because Dave turned off the phone without revealing himself.

Mark had his phone scotched to his ears, waiting for someone to speak when the call suddenly got disconnected.

“Oops, he wasn’t man enough to defend himself. I guess I’ll just go back to bed and have a sound sleep.

He switched off his lights and went to bed, and later on wrapped himself in the duvet. The young man was unable to find
