In the night, where the lamp was being laid by the table, brightly lit his room. From being steady to flickering, all were in random succession. Time seemed to pass by, not that he can stop it in the first place. So, he lets it pass. Not that he can touch it or hold it any longer. All were taken for granted but it was nothing that he can do about it.

His mother and father fed him and put him in his crib. Hastily running towards their room while giggling and tickling each other.

'Gosh, they seemed to be excited to do it. I am still not sleepy and has to digest my food. Mashed potatoes are only seasoned with salt. That is! Nothing more! System! Do you have something in your thoughts? I want something to do before I sleep,'

[You want to backflip hundred times as a warm-up?]

'I guess so? Is there an even harder task compared to that? Gosh, I can't even exert that much! I am a baby remember? Do you have plans for me to be a clown?'

[Do not worry, I am not that stupid. How about something better?]

[Another goal for the day]

[Goal: Scratch the crib 100 times]

[Reward: +5% critical chance]

Dezmund can only have a question mark rise from his head. Still a silly goal but something very rewarding. If he thinks about it, those silly goals have such mysterious vibes in them. Something that you can look forward to. Just by the thought of having another one for that day.

He can never be dismayed by the System. Even though scratching the crib was making him have a mannerism of a cat. Scratching the wood to have a better claw mastery or maybe outrightly just playing around.

You know cats, you can't predict them. Maybe they just do it for fun, nothing else.

Still, it made Ainz wonder. Wondering how scratching linked to anything.

As soon as he knew the goal, he immediately scratched the crib. Tongue sticking out on the side of his mouth and focusing his mind on what he will do.

Aim for success and you will find how you will find success. You need to know first what you will experience along the way before you will reach it.

They say, the destination was the end but the journey was what you will look forward to. Something like that, I don't know the original saying.

But let's say that Ainz enjoyed his scratching. I don't know why but he seemed to be drooling and his saliva was dripping on the wooden floor.

Albeit painful in his baby fingers, he still sang the song he liked to sing.

'Baby fingers, baby fingers, where are you? Here I am, Here I am, How do you do?'

He sang the song for the sake of singing it, whilst scratching the crib.

'Just how do you think it is? It is not pleasurable in the slightest! I am not a pain lover! What do they call that? Masochist? This should really give me something good, something great, something...something awesome!' Dezmund said in his mind.

[You will be rewarded handsomely. Patience is a virtue.]

'If Patience is a virtue, what do you call about my nails that are bleeding and has many splinters inside? Righteousness?' Ainz bellowed.

[I call it a trophy for your hard work. And yes, it was righteousness indeed.]

'Got da.....ahem, If I can curse you right now, I would use the F word. You know the F word? Don't mention it.' Ainz felt annoyed.

He felt that talking with the System will only give him a heart attack so he hurried himself to scratch the damn thing. The thing that was mocking his nail's capabilities. Just as he scratched it, he made some left and right combo with some one-two-three scratches. Scrupulously imitating a boxer. I mean in a scratching way.

Such pains were making him drool his saliva and sucked his fingers. Blood was tasted like iron and it was never his diet. So it tasted like sweet and something sour. I don't know the exact taste of it so let us just leave it that way.

Considering the fact that blood was being sucked, he remembered that it was all the diets of Vampires. Bloodsucking abominations that like blood so much. He remembered there was a study that blood has some organisms found in the microscope. Something like eggs of Ascaris and some other parasites. You didn't know, do you?

So yeah, Ainz found their fate a little bit pitiful. He can only shake his head while imitating a lizard's clicking of their mouths. Fates being set to blood-suck the humans.

[Warning! Racial discrimination is forbidden. You will get reported and have an insanity negative status for a day. You racist!]

'So this is racism now? Sorry, sorry, will you forgive me this time? I won't do it again. They can do whatever they like for Dracula's sake! Not that I care,' Ainz then smirked.

After all their talks, Ainz successfully made it to one hundred scratches. Sucking his fingers then spits out the blood. Quite hypocritical for someone like him.

It was then, he received a message.

[Reward for completion: +5% critical chance]

Just as he saw the notification, he felt a surge of energy that entered his body. He immediately saw that the system had a new message.

[Another goal for the day.]

[Goal: Conjure Claw]

Immediately, he was on a high horse. Conjuring the said weapon as fast as he can. With the similar aura that was on his past conjurations, he immediately inhaled deeply. Seeing that he was like Wolverine with his weapon.

'Wow! I will be the next Hugh Jackman with these claws!

[No you won't]

"Ugh, you party-pooped my mood. Well, at least I can be something manly with these weapons. This calls for an action!'

Just as he was about to leap in joy, another message appeared.

[Another goal for the day]

[Goal: Slash 100 times with Claws]

[Reward: +5% reaction speed]

'Oh okay, let's get our slashes started then!'

He slashed left and right horizontally with his pitiful arms. Barely able to reach till one hundred even though the claws were almost weightless.

He rotated his arms then stretched it a bit. Continuing it till he reached the last slash. Extinguishing the said weapon as soon as he reached one hundred.

Panting like an inhaling and exhaling whale. No, it was exaggerated. Inhaling and exhaling like a husky. Rapid and fast whilst fast and rapid. He was able to calm down a bit.

[Reward for completion: +5% reaction speed]

'Yey!' Dezmund can only be perplexed. Thinking that his way was still far ahead till it will reach the end. But still, the journey was what counts not the destination. For him, of course. If you want to ask.

Ey! I remembered!.... Nah, Nevermind.

Others were warmed inside their houses and were settled while sipping soup.Ainz was not excempted from the cold winds but the training must proceed no matter what. For Ainz, time was gold. And so, he thought that he needed to get stronger as soon as possible. Learning all he needed to know in primordial techniques that he needed to know. • Barbarians

Ainz's training in Voyaging was indeed a fruitful one. The Primordials were already excited for their turn. Well, their turn would come sooner than later. It would be set in fate, time is only the one to pass.It was afternoon and the sun was about to set. The training ground was a mess with all those duels with Ragnar. Learning basic combat from him was just easy. As Ainz was already a martial arts grandmaster. He was able to defeat Ragnar several times already using the Voyaging skills and fighting style. As for Ainz, his fighting style was honed throughout the years. And it was mixing up now. A bit of a bad habit that Ainz has gained. He was confused as to what he would use. The fencing style was new for him and he still has to learn such style. It was more of a deflect and thrust style. A bit different from a swordsman's way of fighting. Nevertheless, it was still a good style. Ainz rested for a while but the time was of the essence. He immediately told Ragnar to continue their

Ragnar was on his high horse to teach his Lord. Making him try his best to impart his knowledge and skills. In the training field, Ainz was first taught the skill types and then their use. He was first briefed about his training this week and it would take time to learn them all.In the past when he was still young, even before the primordial wars where Gods, Demons, and, Humans were still battling, he has not trained in the arts of Primordial techniques. Making him a newbie to all of it.They were very secretive and he can only train in martial arts for the war and did not have skills. Reaching the blurred realm of martial arts made him kill several Gods and Demons. That was the trump card of humanity as well as the Primordial technique. Making the humans weak but having the greatest potential. Given the time to grow, they could move mountains. Though the end of the war was a stalemate. After all, the parties suffered great casualties, but they all stopped the war. The Demon gods s

  • Learning primordial techniques

Ainz was in his war room and he was surrounded by the 8 primordials. They looked menacing, all confident, and eager to teach. Apt to do and able to. They all were ready and Ainz was concerned and they were overzealous to teach him. Eyes were sparkling with a burning passion. He was like a cornered rat from a cat. Being taught by them was what was his dream. Now the problem was if they would overdo it. He would be having trouble catching up.He needed to be prepared. Especially his mind and heart. It would soon start and he would be training in their arts. All would be in the right place and at the right time. He would be having a rigorous week ahead. His rest would be short-lived and his peaceful days would have to end shortly. They were ready to let the class begin. As far as Ainz was concerned, they would teach him their techniques and it would be tasking on their part."We will teach you the basics. The Primordial technique was divided into 8 groups of clans that merged. Having

"What? Longevity? How?" They all chorused."I will teach you how first," Ainz winked his left eye. "Follow me then," he said. They all followed him and they went inside his room. "Find a comfortable spot to sit and then we will start," Ainz commanded them. They heeded his advice and then sat on the floor. Others were on his bed. "Okay, then we will start," Ainz then started his instructions, "First was to sense the specks of mana in the body. Next was to absorb it towards your mana core. Slowly, you will absorb the mana in the air. After that, you will expel impurities from your body with every rank up. Easy right?" They soon look at each other and then start to get it. They soon started to cultivate and then they all were fast in their progress. Having years of battle experience made them fast to adapt. Although they were a little late compared to those of the outside world. They soon made a breakthrough and they sweated impurities. Making them reach Earth realm stage 2."Continu

  • Demon-killing Arrays and Demon-stopping Barriers

Ainz went outside the Lord's Hall and walked towards the three areas where the edges of the village were. He watched and observed while picturing out the imaginary pillars that he would construct. As for the pillars, they were the Demon-killing arrays or the Murim, Elemental, and Integrator arrays. The next ones were the Demon-stopping barriers or the Demon weakening barrier, Monster repelling barrier, and Shield barrier. "This is a good place to put them," he made a square out of his fingers while watching its hole as he looked from afar. He needed to put a contingency plan when it comes to protecting the village. He doesn't know how strong the enemies were. As for these barriers and arrays, it could only protect them from Legend rank enemies and below. As for mythical to god-rank demons, it would not be as much effective. They needed to at least on themselves or from the Gods that ascended. Well, they were all his past comrades and maybe could help in direst times. As for his prow
