Chapter 176: The Funeral of a Fake Death

When Mon'Ter and Leonidas reached the void again, Mon'Ter felt himself become a lot calmer than before. "Sam is... Really good," he mumbled out with thoughts of the previous memory. During it, he didn't dare interrupt or speak, he only watched as the young man did his thing and made Elyenora feel ever so slightly better than before. He helped her heal not by talking to her about the tragedy but by being there for her, it was certainly a thing that the Chimera could admire. A thing he could learn.

"Aye, that kid sure is amazing," Leonidas grinned as he spoke, crossing his arms before continuing. "He's talented at lots of things, that's for sure, and I sure am glad he and Ely are on such good terms. It brings joy to me as a grandfather, you know?"

"I think so," Mon'Ter replied. "I too am happy that my friends are on good terms, so, maybe that's similar?" he mused on it, though he wasn't quite certain whether being a friend and being a grandfather had anything in common
