Riley arrived home looking all sad, his grandfather saw his mood and knew he might have seen some cool stuff at the headquarters, he had no idea that today was the granting of abilities.
Riley Anderson sat there quietly as he clutched the blanket. Mr Daniel knelt beside him while looking at him with pity.
"You don't have to do anything right now, just rest and we will take things one day at a time, together and always remember Riley, you are not a burden to me...you are my grandson" Mr Daniel whispers softly.
His words felt comforting for Riley but he didn't say anything but the tension on his face shortened. Mr Daniel then stood up to give him time to adjust to cool off but he kept a watchful eye on him, making sure he felt at ease.
Riley Anderson was deeply sad that the crystal ball rejected him, he was afraid of telling his grandfather that he touched the enchanted crystal ball he warned him about.
Mr Daniel, Riley's grandfather has been taking care of Riley ever since Riley's both parents died in the battlefield first when the monsters first invaded earth.
Mr Daniel found a sense of purpose in looking after Riley and Riley also found comfort in Mr Daniel's care.
Mr Daniel led him down a narrow corridor as the sound of the old wooden house floor was creaking at every step they took.
"Come, Riley, let me show you to your room, I've added some books that could keep you busy and forget about getting abilities" Mr Daniel said nicely as he led him to his room.
The room was small but comfortable for Riley Anderson. It was a simple bed that was placed near the window, covered with hand made bed sheets and blankets with a design pattern of flowers.
Through the window, Riley can be able to see the garden and where the rays of the setting sun. In the room there was a wooden wardrobe and a small bookshelf filled with old books that stood against the wall and there was also a rug covered in the floor.
"I know it's not much, but it's yours and you can rearrange it however you like and if you need anything just ask" Mr Daniel said as he made way for Riley to enter.
Riley Anderson stepped into the room as he used his hands to examine the bed and the room that was now his.
"I'm here for you son, we'll get through this together " Mr Daniel said as he was standing at the doorway watching Riley Anderson as looked around his new surroundings.
For the first time in a long while, Riley Anderson felt a sense of belonging.
"Thank you Grandpa" Riley Anderson whispered, his voice was barely audible but was filled with emotions.
Mr Daniel smiled and said " I'll leave you to rest, get some rest. Tomorrow is a new day and we will face it together" he said.
With that, Mr Daniel gently closed the door, leaving Riley Anderson alone in his room, feeling a sense of relief as he kept wondering how things would have turned out if he got the ability.
As soon as Mr Daniel Left and the door shut, Riley Anderson sat at the edge of the bed still getting used to the new surroundings but all of a sudden without warning a strange screen appeared in his front, glowing with a translucent light. The screen was hanging mid air and Riley's eyes widened in shock.
"What the heck...What the hell is this?, is this my imagination or what?, am I hallucinating or something? Or am I haunted in this house" Riley Anderson was lost in thoughts.
He blinked as he was trying to make sense of what was happening but the words written on the screen remained clear and were displayed in front of him like he was dreaming.
Name: Riley Anderson (human)
Strength: 65/100
Speed: 79/100
Elemental : 80/100
Equipment: Glow Blade, stealth, HACTIC blast etc.
"What the heck is this, how does it know my name, is this some kind of witch craft or something" Riley Anderson wondered in fear.

Riley Anderson heart raced as he stared at the numbers and the strange stats on the screen.Strength, speed,Elemental . These were abilities he only knew from stories and video games but not something to describe a real person talking less of him. He also glanced at the words written below such as energy blade, night vision and super cloak. He had never seen such abilities like that in his life.
Riley Anderson tried to touch the glowing screen displayed as he was hesitating before waving his hand through the glowing screen but it felt like nothing but air, and though the text stayed intact.
"What the hell is this?" Riley Anderson said to himself as he his gaze was fixated at the door. Mr Daniel had only left a few minutes ago, unaware of the sudden occurrence.
Riley Anderson tries to focus on the words on the screen as he noticed that the numbers seemed to gauge some sort of potential and also list of abilities and equipment such as Glow Blade, stealth, hactic blast, which all sounded like a gear a superhero would use and not someone like him.
But as he was glancing at the names of the equipment he felt a strange aura like a power awakening and surging inside him.
He then remembered he had touched the enchanted crystal ball and maybe that awakened something inside of him he didn't know was there.
This was something bigger, something different from all hunters.
Was this part of his identity or he accidentally awakened something he didn't know he had within him? Or was he dreaming?, all these thoughts were running through his head then suddenly the screen appeared again and more words appeared this time with a message.

The Titan knew her. He forced the words out through clenched teeth. “What, what are you to him?”Alira’s gaze flickered briefly toward Riley, then back to the monster. Her voice was calm, too calm. “He was my creation’s first host.”Riley froze. His stomach dropped. “What?”Alira’s eyes darkened. “Before you, before me, the Titan bore the system.”The chamb

The valley was silent. The screaming mist had gone. The glowing moss no longer pulsed. The ground lay broken, ash from the fallen Guardians scattered like gray snow.Riley stood on shaky legs, breathing hard. His blade had dissolved, his energy almost gone. His arm still throbbed with black veins, faint but stubborn, crawling beneath his skin like poison that refused to leave.Alira stood a few paces away, her silver hair glowing faintly in the dim light. She seemed calm, too calm for the destruction around them.Riley forced himself to speak, though his voice was hoarse. “You said, my team. They’re alive?”Alira turned her glowing eyes on him. “Yes. Alive. But held in a place worse than death.”Riley’s chest tightened. “Where?”Her gaze shifted toward the distance. Beyond the shattered valley, the horizon burned faintly red. There, a mountain rose, black and jagged, glowing with cracks of molten fire. “The Titan’s lair,” she said softly. “They are trapped within.”The name itself m

Urgent. “Say my name.”Riley’s breath caught. His head snapped toward the chained woman glowing in the pit. Her eyes were still closed, her body still wrapped in those glowing bindings, but her lips moved faintly, forming silent words. He couldn’t hear them. The mist thickened, swirling fast as if it were alive too, wrapping the whole valley in a prison of haze.Riley’s eyes locked on the chained woman at the center of it all. She hung in the glow like she was floating underwater, her body still, her eyes closed. The chains around her shimmered with a dull white light, and they pulsed in rhythm with the moss beneath Riley’s feet.It was as if the entire valley was tied to her, but he had no time to think. The moss beneath Riley’s boots pulsed faintly, almost like a heartbeat. Each step he took sank slightly, as if the ground was soft flesh instead of plant. The mist was thick, glowing faintly with that same green light, curling like smoke around his legs. Somewhere in the haze, the sound came again. Thump. Thump.Heavy, steady, deliberate. Riley’s grip tightened on his glowing blade. Its light wavered, still unstable, flickering with each heartbeat of his own. He spun in place, scanning the shadows. “Show yourself.”No answer. Just another slow, heavy step. Then a voice, faint, broken, carried through the mist. “Riley.”He froze. His chest tightened. That voice, it sounded like Akira. He took a cautious step forward. “Akira?”No reply. Just the sound again, softer now. “Riley.” It pulled him deeper into the mist. The glowing moss grew taller here, rising in strange stalks that bent toward him as he passed, brushing against his arms like cold fingers.
