The Vulcanus lived up to its name as a custom luxury car.

The car’s spacious interior was lavishly decorated, the plush seats comfortable. There was a liftable divider that separated the back from the driver’s seat. One could do anything in the back, their privacy ensured.

I silently looked out the car’s window. The nightscape zoomed past me, mixing into blurs of various colors. Somehow, it felt relaxing, but I still found it hard to calm down completely.

Today went by like a roller coaster. So many things happened. So many changes. It still felt a bit surreal.

The doubts I had before had already completely vanished. The entire scene that happened at the entrance of the club was not something a scammer could pull off.

“Sir, you should visit a hospital. They’ll take care of the injury on your forehead.” Violet whispered from beside me. She had slightly creased brows, concerned.

“It’s alright, it’s just a scratch.” I didn’t really care about the injury. “It’ll heal on its own once it’s disinfected.”

“Very well.” Violet gave a slight nod. “At this time, you shouldn’t return to your dormitory. I have arranged a room for you at the Marriott Hotel. Is that alright?”

Sure enough, she was my personal assistant; she was attentive to my needs.

A warm tingly feeling swept over me. I nodded. “Ok, I’ll take a nap. Wake me up when we arrive.”

I finally let my eyes rest after shifting to a more comfortable position. It was not that I wanted to avoid conversing with Violet, I was simply exhausted.

Hearing my tired sigh, Violet carefully lowered the seat for me and pulled down the car’s window curtains.

Half an hour later, the car pulled into the Marriott Hotel.

Violet led me straight to the top floor. I was staying in the presidential suite.

I looked at the room and exclaimed, “Shit, this suite’s huge!” I was out of my element.

The entire suite was around 6000 square feet. Adorned extravagantly, the suite had two bedrooms, a living room, a reception room, a study room, and an entertainment room. All the furniture and amenities were luxury brands.

In the living room, there was a window wall over 20 feet long.

The window revealed all of Razor City. It felt as if you were looking down on everyone and everything, as if nothing could possibly harm you.

“How much does this place cost?” I stood by the window, overlooking the city’s nightscape.

“40,000 dollars a night.”

“That expensive?!” My hands shook, almost dropping a crystal glass.

40,000 dollars was equivalent to two years of my tuition, including living expenses!

That was just enough to stay one night here?!

I was dazed. Back then, the 15 million dollars in my bank account was only a number. This was the first time I truly understood what it meant to be wealthy. I was hit with luxury.

“Don’t worry about the price. Since this is a subsidiary of the Taylor Group, you can stay here all year without spending a dime.”

Violet assured me with a light smile as she walked up to me and placed a tin box in front of me.

“What’s this?”

Inside the box, I discovered a black card. It looked like a bank card.

The black card felt cool in my hand. It had some weight. Red moire patterns adorned the front. The patterns interlaced and formed the word “Taylor.” On the back was an embedded chip. In the lower right corner was a code.

“This is an identification card. It’s used by the Taylor Group.”

Violet gently explained. “The black you have is the highest level card. Only direct relatives of the Taylors can possess it. Your information has already been entered into it. With this special card, you have power on par with a chief director. You can enjoy any products or services owned by the Taylor Group for free. You can also appoint or remove anyone below the level of director and use up to 80 million dollars without approval.”

Violet’s words exploded in my head like bombshells.

“The Taylor Group's identity cards are separated into six levels: black, diamond, gold, silver, bronze, and green. Even the lowest level card, green, is difficult to obtain.”

Violet took out a card. It looked similar to my card, but instead of black, it was silver. There were also some slight differences in detail. “My level is silver. It’s equivalent to being a general manager of a subsidiary branch.”

I nodded with a thoughtful smile and asked, “You’re a dignified general manager, yet you’re working as my personal assistant. Don’t you think this is beneath you?”

“Of course not.” Violet shook her head and instantly responded.

“Everything I have, including my life, is thanks to the president. If it weren’t for the Taylors, I would’ve probably starved to death in the mountains as a child. As such, I will forever be loyal to the president and, by association, you. It is a great honor to be by your side and assist you. It gives my life purpose.”

Violet’s tone was calm, but her words carried conviction.

The fervor in her eyes startled me.

In today's world, no regular person could utter such words.

It seemed she was groomed by the Taylor Group from a young age. She probably would not hesitate to give up her life for the Taylor Group.

I could only shiver at the thought. Violet's image in my mind began to shift. This woman, how did she grow up? She had complete loyalty toward her master. Her life was devoted to me.

Violet was unconcerned by my gaze and expression. She simply smiled and handed me a folder. “Sir, this is the DNA report regarding you and Levi Taylor.”

I collected my thoughts. I began flipping through the folder. My eyes homed in on the final result.

[The probability that Gael Taylor has a genetic relationship with Levi Tayor is 99.9999%]

The DNA report was stamped with the official seal of the Capital Testing Center.

This was it. The nail in the coffin.

I was actually a rich kid!

My mood immediately brightened.

I was going to live a life full of luxury! I was going to live the good life!

Perfect!

I lit a cigarette and took a deep breath.

Violet tilted her head. “Today has been quite eventful. Have a good night’s rest. I’ll debrief you on your course schedule later.”

“Course schedule?'' I murmured, half out of it.

''Courses?!” When the words finally sank in, I looked at her, startled.

Violet grinned as she pulled out a form. She handed it to me.

“You obviously still need to study. The Taylor Group will need you to take over in the future. Although your grades in university were good, you’re still quite lacking. Your knowledge is too shallow. The president has asked me to arrange a rigorous curriculum. You are to become a competent heir in the shortest time possible.”

The long list of courses on the form made me dizzy.

Business management, human resource management, international relations, economics, finance, business law, combat, wilderness survival, piano, golf, art appreciation, wine tasting....

“What the freak is all this?” My eyes stared at the form blankly.

As I looked through the contents I choked on a puff of smoke. “Ack, ack, why are there courses like art appreciation and combat?”

“A competent heir should have a fit body and the ability to defend themselves. Similarly, they must also possess artistic literacy,” Violet responded. “It goes without saying that the business and finance courses are essential. Those are areas in which you must excel.”

This... was not the rich kid life I imagined!

Drag racing, hitting on girls, spending money like water, was that not the daily life of a rich kid?!

Damn, why was it so different from what I imagined?!

My face turned grim. “Is it ok if I don’t study?”

“Of course not.”

Violet flashed a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, most of the courses only cover the basics. You don’t need to be a master in every subject. It’ll be easy.”

In a last-ditch effort, I asked, “What about my college classes?”

“College classes are just a waste of time for you. There’s no need to go there.” Violet grinned. “Don’t worry about the exams and graduation diploma. I’ll take care of it.”

“...”

Poof. My last bit of hope had been extinguished.

I hung my head and continued smoking. Glaring, I grumbled, “I’m pissed.”

“Is that so?”

Her lips curved into a smile. Her delicate hands brushed across my shoulders as she leaned in.

Her neckline was right in front of my eyes.

A pair of full breasts greeted my eyes, only a couple centimeters away from my nose. Her lovely skin twinkled delightfully in the light.

Such a stimulating scenario caused my body to heat up. I gulped.

She moved her mouth right next to my ear. Her scent entered my nose, her breath tickling my ear. “Stop throwing a tantrum and be a good boy."

At the entrance of the hotel, Abe lay in a pool of blood, his face deathly pale. His miserable cries grew faint, as he was bleeding out on the cold hard ground.I looked at him with concern and said to Alexander, "Let's go to the hospital as soon as possible. We'll delay this meeting. If we wait any longer, I'm afraid he won't make it. Look... he can barely speak."Alexander's eyes twitched. After a brief silence, he said, "Thank you for your concern! You two, take him to the hospital at once!"Immediately after, two of the Jones family's bodyguards emerged from the crowd and carefully placed Abe into a car and sped off toward the hospital. At last, the tense, chilling atmosphere had begun to let up. The surrounding people pasted smiles on their faces and walked toward me."Sir Gael, I'm Brian White of the White family. It's a pleasure to meet you.""Greetings, Sir Gael. I'm Rodrick Anderson of the Anderson family. It's an honor to meet you. We should g

The people who had hurried to the scene from the hotel were all influential people in Razor City. In addition to Alexander, the head of the Jones family, there was Brian White, the head of the White family, and Rodrick Anderson, the head of the Anderson family.Combined with Logan Forrest, the owner of Forrest Associates, the four most influential people in Razor City all stood before me. Besides them, there were of course numerous other elite people in the political and business fields hidden among the mob of people. After all, only those at the top of Razor City had the right to attend the charity dinner tonight.I saw James Miller, the head of the Millers, also in the crowd. That old man had dragged his injured grandson to my college to apologize to me. His eyes lit up after seeing me. He immediately wanted to separate from the crowd and greet me.I shook my head and signaled at him to stay where he was and not make any unnecessary moves in our current predica

The situation escalated. After just two minutes, a gun had been drawn. The people nearby gasped and took a couple steps back subconsciously. It was clear to everyone what was going on. Carl was determined to suck up to the Jones family.Originally, it was just a small conflict. However, when the police intervened, they tried to arrest me by force, escalating the matter first. Then, upon his attempts being thwarted by Steve, Carl even took out his gun and threatened us. The sheer recklessness of his actions could not be expressed in words. When Abe saw a gun being pointed at me, his confidence rose drastically, the sinister smile on his face became more pronounced. "No one has ever disrespected me like that before. You actually slapped me just now. How should I repay you?" Abe suddenly took two steps forward, grinning. He raised his hand slowly, intending to slap me back.Steve frowned and pushed Abe away.Caught off guard, Abe was forced to take several

Abe was incensed at my audacity, but all of this was already within my expectations.Back in the Bluestone Club, I had heard Abe was a rash bully who loved to get into fights. What he was doing now was just the norm.I looked at him again, maintaining my apathetic expression, not a trace of emotion on my face. The Jones family started out in Razor City's energy industry. Business went quite well for them over the past years. They had built up a conglomerate called the Gold Group whose market value exceeded ten billion dollars. The conglomerate also dabbled in other fields such as media, finance, and technology.Out of the four main powers in Razor City, they ranked somewhere in the middle. This was all information I had learned early on. However, what attracted my interest in the Jones family was not their Gold Group, which had a market value of ten billion, but a company the Jones family had just invested in and gained control over, Blossom Technologies.

Listening to Violet's introduction of Amber, I was left tongue-tied. She was only 26, only four years older than me; however, she was already the leader of one of the top conglomerates in the world that was worth hundreds of billions of dollars. This whole thing felt unreal."Amber is attending the charity dinner?" I asked."Yes." Violet nodded. "I don't know why Ms. Excell suddenly came to Razor City. The moment she arrived, all of the major corporations in Razor City were sent into chaos. The Excells are one of the most powerful conglomerates, comparable to the Taylors. To the corporations of Razor City, she is an incredibly important person. It's only natural they sent her an invitation to this charity dinner out of courtesy. However, Ms. Excell actually agreeing to attend was outside their expectations. So, although you're the reason today's charity dinner is being held, there will almost certainly be many people who pay more attention to Ms. Excell. After all, no one

"Phew!" I heaved a sigh of relief and jogged for ten more minutes before finally getting off the treadmill. I smiled at Steve. "Stop flattering me. The Special Forces are an elite group. Everyone there is blessed with an inhumane physique. I'm not on the same level as them."Steve had me lie down on a mat and called my personal masseuse over, who then helped me loosen the knots in my muscles, allowing me to relax. After a super-intensive training session, my muscles had built up a large amount of lactic acid. If I did not undergo a soothing massage, I would end up feeling sore for the next couple of days."So what if they're in the Special Forces? Didn't they all start out as ordinary people? Physique and skills can be obtained through hard work and training. Ultimately, one's willpower is the most important thing!"Steve sat next to me and lamented, "Sir, you really do amaze me. Your willpower is simply extraordinary. Having just watched you overcome your limits
