Into the Beast Realm

Seth and his 'friends' eventually left.

Vanessa looked at Shian and said. "Thanks for what you did back there"

"It's nothing, I just didn't like the way they presented themselves."

"By the way, my name's Vanessa Emprie"

"Shian Smith." Shian replied bluntly then turn around and began to jog away "I'll see you around."

"Wait" Vanessa called out but Shian was already gone. "What did he mean by he'll see me around. Hmmm... it seems like he is going to enter the Academy too." Vanessa said then walked into the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Seth and his goons were planning on how to deal with Shian.

"That foolish girl Vanessa. She will be mine, no matter what it takes."

"She will be yours Seth, but what about that lowlife who insulted us in front of everyone, what should we do about him." Druber asked still visibly annoyed about how he embarrassed himself.

"Let's just follow him for now, and when we get the chance, we'll teach him a lesson he will never forget." Seth said.

"I can't wait. He'll know to never mess with us again." Druber said while grinning.

Shian continued his walk to where he was going to enter a portal.

It was a military base with two soldiers standing guard at the gate. Shian walked up to one of them, and on seeing him, the soldier immediately questioned him.

"State your business."

"Good Afternoon sir, please I will like to use a portal." Shian replied humbly knowing not to provoke a military personnel.

"Show me your ID."

Shian promptly pulled out a black card from his space ring and showed it to the soldier, the second his hands made contact with the card it projected a hologram that had all his information in it.

The soldier scanned it and found what he was looking for.

[Basic tier Hunter]

They had to go through this procedure because of several cases of people who had no business in a beast realm, going there for stupid reasons like

'I was told that there is a very good plant that can make my food taste better'

or

'I just want to see what that world looks like'

Shian had received this card as a gift from his father when he had amassed a kill count of ten basic tier beasts. The card also contained all the credits his father had secretly saved all through his life.

"Follow me." The soldier simply said.

They walked into the base, inside the military base was like a city of its own, there were shopping centers, medical clinics, post offices, and all sorts of things you could find in a city. They walked to a building at the center of the base, it was stark white and didn't have windows, at least not any that he could see, that's if it could be even called a building.

Shian walked into the sight of several people working. No one noticed their arrival because everyone had something to do, Shian noticed that the building was bigger than it looked inside. A person looking at it from outside will think it was just one random living quarters.

Shian searched through his memory and remembered that his father had told him about something like this, it was the work of a Space Elementalist.

Space Elementalist were exceedingly rare, like one in ten billion, although not all had the talent to create pocket dimensions.

This showed how much power the military had for them to have a Space Elementalist create a pocket dimension this big for them.

The soldier continued his march to a receptionist, spoke some words and left him.

Shian was left standing in front of the receptionist not knowing what to do.

"What type of beast do you wish to hunt sir? So that I can give you a list that fits your category" She asked.

"Well, just send me into anyone as long as it's of the Basic Tier." Shian replied

"Ok sir"

She typed something on the keyboard in her front, she stretched her hands and received Shian's card. She swiped it across a board and the payment was done, she then led him to a room filled with portals.

There were four different types of portals that he could see.

There were Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. Green meant that the realm was safe for all hunters, Yellow was for hunters that could hunt Sovereign tier beasts and below, Orange for hunters that could hunt Lord tier beasts and below and finally Red was for hunters that could hunt Legendary tier beasts and below, though there wasn't any known person that could do that solo

Shian was lead to one section where there were green portals.

While waiting for the receptionist to activate the portal, a new one was being moved in.

Portals could be controlled, if a portal was to randomly open somewhere, a team of scientist along with a group of soldiers will be dispatched to go and retrieve it.

The soldiers will first of all clear the released beasts before the scientists will come in and trap the portal in a machine designed for that specific purpose, it will then be transported to their military base for safe keeping.

After a while, the machine will scan the realm's energy signature, detect the level, before giving it a colour.

Right now a portal to one of those realms was being moved in. The receptionist was done activating the portal, she stepped back then turned around to leave, she didn't see the man who was pushing the new portal in, so she accidentally bumped into him.

"Aye watch where you are going miss"

"I'm sorry sir"

Shian being Shian wanted to jump through the portal that had been activated for him, he took some steps back and this time the man pushing the portal didn't see him and shoved him real hard, Shian fell right through a red portal standing by his side.

"Aye, who is it this time?" The man grumbled

He looked and didn't see anyone, shrugged his shoulders and kept on walking.
