GRANDMASTER

Damien felt the scale fall of his eyes like a pair of glasses. He was on one knee, and his other knee pushed up. The position he was assuming was as though he was taking a sort of bow.

When the realisation of recent events hit him, he quickly raised his head. He could feel no pain at all. He found himself in an empty white hall. The opulence and brightness of the hall was second to known.

He couldn't really be sure what he had to take from this current state. But one thing that he knew for sure was the fact that he was no longer on the island. There was no part of the island that looked this way.

Deep inside of him, he could feel that this hall felt like a familiar place. It was as though a remote part of him was trying so hard to reach a conclusion.

Suddenly, he heard a sound behind him. It was a wheezing sound which was followed by a sequence of laboured breathing. He turned around at once.

He wanted to be cautious. Though he recalled that he had beaten and defeated the Samurai
