In a small, peaceful village nestled between rolling hills and lush forests, life was simple yet challenging. Marko and his mother, Teresa, lived in a modest cottage at the edge of the village. Though life had dealt them a hard hand, they faced each day with determination and resilience.

Marko, a young boy at the age of thirteen, was known for his unyielding spirit and hardworking nature. His father had died when Marko was just a toddler, leaving Teresa to raise him alone. Their original home destroyed by terrors forcing them to leave as refugees.

Despite the hardships, Teresa's love and strength were unwavering, and she instilled in Marko the values of hard work and compassion. Even in the harsh and cruel world.

One crisp autumn morning, Teresa was up early, as usual, preparing breakfast. The sweet aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air. Marko, already dressed and ready, helped his mother set the table.
