2024-04-04 23:32:52Bryan came over to Major Cutthroat's office. The Major General had received an order from the Secretary of Defense to send someone capable to guard his daughter while he goes on a campaign trip with the Alorean President. He instantly thought of the new rising star; Private Grayson. After briefing Major Cutthroat of this vital matter, it was now up to Major Cutthroat to brief Bryan of the upcoming mission and how important it was.
“Sir! You sent for me Sir!” Bryan saluted as soon as he stepped into the office.
“Have a seat Private.” Major Cutthroat said in a gentle tone.
“Thank you Sir.” Bryan responded in a respectful way and sat down.
“Private Grayson. I will get straight to the point. We have just received a mission from the Secretary of Defense himself! He requested that we send someone to guard his daughter; Maryanne. Are you up for the job!?”
“Affirmative! Sir!”
When Bryan heard the word 'Mission' from his commanding officer, he started to shift gears into his mission mode.
“Good! Prepare yourself! You will be sent to Silverado University as a student!”
“How long is the duration of this mission, Sir!” Bryan asked. He knew for a fact that this kind of mission could be similar to those in light novels where he will have guard the damsel who is always in distress till she probably graduates.
“Till the Secretary of Defense returns from the campaign with the President! No more questions!”
“Will do Sir!” Bryan replied, but then he thought of something.
“What weapon can I use, Sir!?”
“You are only permitted to use a specialized handgun, but only to use rubber bullets. If the situation truly needs it, inform me first and wait for approval before using any deadly force.” Major Cutthroat did not really know Bryan so well, but from what he had seen, he knew that Bryan would never hesitate to dispose an enemy, but if Bryan was to perform his stunts on the streets of Valens City, then it will be a Homeland security issue.
“Also you are not to let the girl know you were sent by anyone to be her bodyguard! You are just there as a University student! Understood!”
“Affirmative Sir!”
“Then what are you still doing here!? Go get ready!”
“Yes Sir!” Bryan saluted once again and then left the office. He went straight to the locker room to prepare himself for the upcoming mission.
Bryan then went to the armory. He went straight to the specialized handgun section. Inside the room we're handguns of different model and sizes. He could see the rumored James Bond gun; the Walther PPK. He also saw the SIG Sauer P226, then the Heckler and Koch USP. There were also several specialized handguns that Bryan didn't know which one to choose from.
“Well, let's go with the one that James Bond once used.” Bryan said as he picked up the Walther PPK.
“Let the mission begin.” he said with a smile on his face.

The following day, Bryan was walking towards his new school while in deep thought. This was to be his first covert mission and it was not exactly what he was expecting.
'What exactly is the personality of this girl? What kind of a girl is she? Is she the type to go on night parties? Well if she is, then I have my work cut out for me! Aah, I'm getting nowhere with kind of thinking, let's just keep it simple.'
Once he was done with his own internal dilemma, Bryan headed to school with a new sense of vigor. Noticing that he was going to be late if he didn't hurry, Bryan was about to sprint. Yet as if destiny was playing with him, someone bumped into him from the back. Before the other party was able to have a crash contact with him, Bryan with his fighting reflexes unconsciously grabbed hold of the person behind him and threw her.
When Bryan finally noticed that his body automatically reacted to the surprised hit. This was due to the fact the system had developed Bryan's body and mind to the point surprised attacks will be neutralized unconsciously. Knowing this, Bryan tried to soften the other party's landing.
The other party that was thrown landed on her buttocks. It was a girl wearing a red blazer, a red ribbon tie, and a blue skirt barely reaching her knees. The moment Bryan set his sight on her, he almost flipped. The girl he had just thrown was none other than the target he was tasked to guard; Maryanne Janet Jackson.
