Ethan was a bit surprised to see ten men surrounding him and he couldn't recognize any of them. They were scary-looking and he was sure he didn't have a deal with any gang in the past.
But then he pieced the recent events together and he realized he had just kicked out someone from the hotel. The men were slowly advancing toward him and his eyes dimmed. After a major breakthrough in his life, he just wanted to celebrate and not deal with some brainless idiots. “Step aside.” He said to the men before him and he tried to walk past them. “Where do you think you are going, loser?” One of them who was a bit huge stopped Ethan. He towered over Ethan, wanting to intimidate him but Ethan only chuckled since he wasn't scared. But then he still maintained his cool and tried to leave but a familiar voice resounded behind him. “Running away now, Mr. Ethan?” Ray Bastien asked as the five men behind Ethan cleared the way for him. Becca was walking behind him with a troubled look on her face and Ethan wasn't surprised that she was still stuck with Ray. “What? Do you expect me to wait on you?” Ethan asked with a sneer. “Well, it would seem so considering what you are wearing.” Ray pointed out. Ethan was still dressed in his shabby clothes and Ray looked at him in disdain. “With the way you are dressed, it baffles me and I think you are just a scammer who colluded with Manager Thorn.” Ray threw those insults at Ethan with a livid look. His face was still red from the embarrassment he felt in the hotel. “Really?” Ethan asked with a chuckle. “I wasn't the one who was thrown so shamelessly out of the hotel though. You look the rich part but you have no power, like your failing family.” He mocked. “You… you bastard!” Ray yelled, with his hands clenched. “What? Are you triggered? Won’t you run along to your daddy and complain to him?” Ethan continued to mock him without a filter. Ray’s family’s issue was a soft spot for him and he desperately wanted to beat Ethan up at that point but he held himself back. If he was found beating up a poor man in public, it would create more troubles for his family, so he would just let us others do it. He took a step back and the men advanced forward and Ethan knew what Ray was planning. “So, Mr. Bastien, what do you want?” Ethan asked as he needed Ray to admit to his crime before it even started. “Nothing much. I just want you beaten up quickly while they make you kneel at my feet. And then I will send you to hell where you belong!” Ray declared and Ethan smirked. He was amused by those words and wasn't shaken the slightest bit. “So, you want to kill me? Do you think you are capable of sending me to hell? Are you that confident?” Ethan asked with a demeaning look in his eyes. Ray was visibly enraged but then Becca who was behind him was fed up with the whole thing. “Don't be so pompous, Ethan.” She said, with a sneer. “Manager Thorn is not here to help you!” She shrieked and her voice almost pierced through everyone’s ears. She was embarrassed and enraged and she just wanted Ray to beat Ethan to death. “Oh, I see. You are trying to impress your sugar baby here. After all, she begged and proclaimed her love for me on her knees. You can’t stand that embarrassment, can you?” Ethan asked, with a look of pity on his face. His words caused Ray to become even more enraged and he looked at Becca. Of course, he didn't overlook how she begged Ethan but he wouldn't just let her go like that, not after all the money he spent on her. But just looking at her, made him recall how the guests looked at him like he was a disappointment. “You bitch!” Ray yelled and before anyone knew it, he sent a slap across Becca’s face. Her head whipped to the side, spilling blood and there were five red finger marks on her face. “Ray…” She called out with a shaky tone, in disbelief. “This is all your fault!” He blamed her and then turned to look at Ethan. “And you. It's your fucking fault. If you had not deceived us all, I would have a chance with Manager Thorn. This bitch wouldn’t have disgraced me.” He uttered, pointing at Ethan as if he had been wronged. “Are you blaming me for your incompetence now, Ray Bastien? Now that I look at it, I am sure you caused your family bankruptcy.” Again, Ethan hit Ray where it was the most painful and Ray saw red. His hands were clenching and unclenching by his sides as stepped aside and dragged Bella with him. “You will regret this, Ethan. I will have your fucking head and Manager Thorn would be next!” Ray declared and Ethan smirked. “Let’s see you try.” He replied but he was a little bit worried about Manager Thorn because he had unintentionally dragged the poor guy into this mess. Seeing that Ethan wasn't one bit scared of him, Ray finally let go of all of his inhibition. He wanted Ethan to beg at his feet and as he looked at Becca, he made a mental note to fuck her right before Ethan to spite him. “Guys! Get him and make him kneel before me!” Ray ordered.

Taking Their Women
“There is no way you wouldn't want to marry me, Ethan!” Erin screamed, piercing through the silence in the car. Her face was twisted like a knot and he had never seen her so terrifying. “What do you mean? I never promised to do that!” He snapped at her. “I have never vowed my undying loyalty to you, why should I do that now?”“Because I have sacrificed so much to be by your side. I neglected my family, neglected my job just to live as your woman and yet, you still don't see that as anything.” She continued to scream with tears streaming down her eyes. Ethan could only purse his lips, knowing a large part of her words were true. Her job complications arose just from her clashing with the higher powers that tried to bring her down and he was also entangled with it. However, he never told her to stay away from her family. In fact, he never even spoke about her family with her. Neglecting her family was everything she did on her own but Ethan wasn't going to say that out loud because s
Let’s Get Married
Seeing Baron’s surrender, Ethan’s eyes dimmed in suspicion as he couldn't readily believe that this minister would easily relent. After all, he was proud and cocky. “Alright, start speaking.” He urged but before Baron could start, he spoke up again, “And if you dare lie to me, you are dead.”Baron frantically nodded, his eyes filled with too much fear to even lie and his first sentence shocked Ethan so well. “I wasn't the one who helped Genie out of prison.” Minister Baron began and Ethan quickly sat up in his seat, realizing it was about to get serious. “I only served as a connection between her and the other person. My only benefit was to come out of prison and become a minister again as a placeholder. This position isn't controlled by me, it’s for the benefit of that person.”Ethan was surprised at the outcome of things. No wonder Baron was a show-off. Empty people tend to make the loudest noise. “Who is this other person you are in contact with, huh? And what did Genie offer t
Dead Eyes
Even though Erin was visibly raging, Ethan sat down coolly staring at her with a blank gaze. He recalled how she had begged to be involved in the case, and yet, she let her emotions lead her. “You have ten seconds to leave, Erin. You are no longer involved in this.” He warned her. “Why?” She snapped, “First, you deceived me into thinking you wouldn't be coming and here you are. I brought you both here! If anyone should be taken out of this, it’s Mason, who stood up to leave abruptly. He ruined the whole thing before my family—”“I ordered him to do so…”“What?” She gasped. “You let your emotions rule over you, Erin. You are not fit for this.” Ethan waved his hand. “Leave before it’s too late.”However, it was obvious she wasn't ready to leave at all. Quickly, Ethan signaled Mason to get her out.“What will you do…hmmm…” Mason quickly covered her mouth, muffling her words. At the same time, he held her body together making her thrash, trying to get away from his grip but then, he wa
A Simple Note
One day later…Mason held Erin by the arm, walking her into the grand venue to greet her family for the night. He had a gift box in hand, looking very charming but then he had his eyes scanning the room. His glasses, which complemented his black tailored suit had tiny cameras on them, sending live feed of the event to Ethan. Mason gently scanned the hall but Minister Baron was nowhere to be seen. Though there were other government officials of his caliber in the event, no one seemed to be concerned about his absence. “Are you sure Baron is going to be here?” He asked Erin who clutched his hand rigidly. “Well, I don’t know.” She hissed. “We will have to find out.”Ever since Ethan switched up on her last minute, she had been gloomy. She thought she was going to show him off for once before the high society and her family but he was a step before her. Deep in her mind, she hoped Baron wouldn't even appear! Her grievance overshadowed her reasoning, her emotions rising to an all-time
Erin’s Happiness
Driving into his mansion, Ethan had his fingers on his chin, deep in thoughts. Getting to minister Baron would be a long walk especially when trying to get him involved in the scam case. Minister Baron had a lot of power on his side, one that definitely aided him in getting Genie out of prison. Fighting against such a man might be a lot of toll. Ethan had to strategize the perfect plan and not just go in rashly. But then he knew the minister would get news about Genie’s disappearance. Would it be soon and would he be able to trace it back to Ethan? As he got out of the car, he realized there was no way it could be traced back to him. After all, his men had done a clean job. He spotted Erin right outside the building looking very worried and he wanted to ignore her completely but then, as she quickly approached the car, he became concerned. “Ethan, Eva is not in the house.” She said, shocking him. “And why would you care?” He raised a brow, suspicion stirring in his mind. “Uhmmm…”
The Raging Old Man
Genie was immensely surprised that Ethan knew about Elvis Chris and the Minister. She had truly underestimated her biggest opponent. It was easy to conquer her husband but Ethan, it didn't seem so. But at the same time, she wondered how he got to know. Everything she did was securely under wraps and only a few people knew she was out of prison. “You want to know how I got out of prison, right?” She tilted her head to the side, her gaze scanning. Ethan pursed his lips, seeing the way she stared at him like a specimen under scrutiny. “You amaze me, Ethan.” She chuckled. “You were able to find out about the minister and Elvis, yet you couldn't find out about such a simple thing. Are your resources limited?” Ethan didn't react to her provocative words just like she wanted, instead, his smile was cool, one that made her swallow. “You know what?” He grinned, his eyes darkening sending warning bells in her head. “I don't need to know how you got out.” He slowly stood up to his feet, a
