His Family

Henry's expression changed immediately, "Spill it out, Louis. Was it my stepmother or siblings?"

Mr Louis sighed loudly, "No, Henry. Evelyne was right, you have more enemies than you expected. It's the Taiwan family. They want you dead. That's so scary, Henry. You know the Taiwan family is cold-blooded."

Henry swallowed hard. There were six popular and renowned family names in the city, His family- The Cavil, Evelyne's family- The Kumars, The Arutos, The Taiwans, The Violas and The Rudys.

The Taiwans were the most feared, followed by the Violas and his family due to his stepmother's evil influence and then, the Arutos. The Rudy's was super headed Mr Rudy who was a man of peace and Evelyne's family? They used to be the most ruthless but Mrs Cavil crumbled them with loans and favours.

He wondered now, why the Taiwans were after him. He just resurrected a few days ànd now they were attacking him.

Evelyne did give him a warning then but he thought it was just her trying to shift the blame from her husband.

”Louis, do you know why they are after me? I'm not their enemy, my stepmother is, so they should focus on her not me."

Mr Louis chuckled, making loud sounds on the call, "You're the true heir to the Cavil Empire and now, you are the richest in town, they see you as a threat to their prominence. You need to be vigilant, Henry. I'm sending some security team over to the office. You will need them."

"Do you have anything else to tell me?" Henry asked, glancing at his watch. He had a meeting to prepare for tomorrow and he needed to check in at Hundeyin.

"No, just stay safe and I will keep you updated. Wait, I just saw the news, you bought the Aruto hotels?"

Henry smiled, checking his laptop. It was there. Don Aruto just announced him as the new CEO of the company. This was another milestone crossed. He knew his stepmother would be boiling in jail once she heard this.

"Yeah, I just bought Aruto hotels and I'm not stopping till I buy all the families that can crumble my family. They need to pay for everything they did to me, Doreen and Mike and I won't rest until they pay!"

"I'm with you all the way, Henry. When your stepmother announced your death, she dealt with a lot of people who rebelled against her or demanded proof of your death. She tortured my family, Henry because she knew I had been good to you when you were alive but now, it's payback time and I'm with you." Mr Louis replied.

Trust his stepmother to do something like this. She was a vile creature and not even serving a jail term was the best punishment for her crimes.

"I'm sorry about what happened to your family and trust me, Mrs Cavil and my step-siblings are going to pay for everything. I have to get back to work, keep me updated if anything happens at the house or to Mike, okay?"

Mr Louis croaked a laugh, "Don't worry yourself, we will be fine here!

Henry looked at his plan again. The next thing on the agenda was to close Jake's bank accounts and make them come to him but he needed Evelyne's signature. How was he going to achieve that?

Maple Rose had a lot of interesting things to tell Henry when he arrived home. Although Mike had not talked all day, she was able to make his mouth what he wanted instead of using the notepads all day.

He took them to the movie Cinema and they watched a blockbuster. Mike was pointing at the characters all day and tapping Henry throughout the movie. Henry felt proud and relaxed that Mike wasn't nervous like the first time he took Mike home. He wished Doreen could be here and see her son. He missed her.

The vibration of his phone stopped his thoughts. It was Mr Louis.

"Yes, Louis, what is it?" Henry asked, signaling to Maple Rose he was stepping out.

"Mr Cavil and your step brothers just got released. Evelyne's family took the fall for everything, so there's a court case coming soon. I don't understand why the Kumars would do such, even though they are in-laws, it's weird," Mr Louis stuttered.

"I think it's their way of paying their debts and loyalties. I have a movie to get back to. As for my stepmother, I'm glad she's out. She makes my revenge plan faster, you know. Enjoy your evening, Louis and thanks for this." Henry replied, not waiting for Louis's reply. The man loved interrupting his solitude at times but Henry was glad he called because he had been wondering how to continue the next actions of the plan and get Evelyne's signature. Now, he got the answer.

He strolled into the movie theatre but noticed another family sitting where Maple Rose and Mike were before. What happened to them? Panic crushed his heart as he rushed towards their seats making everyone in the hall mutter angrily

"What happened to the young lady and little boy sitting here?" Henry yelled at the family, not minding the attention he was already getting.

"I don't know, we came in just a few minutes ago and found the seats empty. We didn't see anybody here." a young dark man, probably the father replied.

"What?" Henry shouted, he prayed inwardly nothing bad had happened to them and rushed out to report to the security team.

"We are trying our best to look for them, sir. None of my team saw them leave the vicinity, I'm sure they would still be around," the head of the security team assured him.

Henry shrugged off and dialled Louis's number. It went through time around. Thank God!

"What did you drop your dumb phone, Louis?" Henry flared, and immediately Louis answered. "Just keep your excuses and get the security team and the police here immediately!"
