Come Begging

"Hold on, Henry. What happened and why are you yelling at me this way? Did your stepmother show up again with her nuisance?" Louis asked, his voice sounding stressed.

"Someone just kidnapped Mike and Maple Rose, the nanny and the security team at the cinema are telling me to relax! How do I relax when I can't find my son and his nanny? Get your ass here immediately, I need your expertise before I gun them down here!" Henry yelled, cutting the phone angrily.

He was a fool. He should never have left the house without one bodyguard following them but he thought since his stepmother was still in prison awaiting jail and Taiwan was silent after their first attack, they would be safe but they had to strike when he wasn't watching. Damn!

His phone vibrated again interrupting his thoughts. He glanced at the screen. It was a strange number.

"Who's this and what do you want?" Henry asked, without any pleasantries. He was in a foul mood and this call made him more bitter.

"Simmer down, Henry. This is Jake and I'm sure you must have realized how ruthless we can be and this is another reason why you shouldn't trust strangers," Jake chuckled loudly into the phone.

Not trust strangers?

"What do you mean by that if you are the one who kidnapped my son, just release him right now with his nanny. If not, I'm going to hurt you where it hurts the most!"

Jake laughed hard, "You can't do anything and yes, Mike is with me all thanks to Maple Rose. She was easily lured by the money, Evelyne offered to give her for betraying you. Now, if you want Mike back, you have to leave this city for good and offer a public apology for embarrassing Mom and me at the airport earlier today."

"You are mad, Jake! I would never leave this city for you and if anything happens to Mike, you hate the very day you came to this world. Rubbish!" Henry hissed, cutting the call.

Damn, Maple Rose! With her homely face, she had to use it against him. Gosh! How could he not see through her deception? Just a day with his kid and she ended up betraying him! He would have a word with that nurse soon but not after he placed her sister in jail!

Henry rushed to the head of the security team and played the recorded call. The man instructed his team members to track the number and assured Henry, they were closer to getting Mike from Jake.

Henry dialled Louis's number and luckily, he answered immediately.

"Henry, we are almost there. Just give us five minutes. The cops are with us too. Any leads ?"

"Yeah, I just found out that nut case nanny was the initiator of the kidnapping. Can you believe she helped Jake and Evelyne in kidnapping Mike? That damn lady!"

Louis gasped, letting out a long hiss, "That's so wicked of her. How could she help Jake? Anyway, she's going get what she deserved for helping slimy people."

"I'm going to make sure she rots in jail if anything happens to Mike. I promise her that and if I got hold of Jake, I would so choke him to death!"

"We are here, boss. No choking anybody until we find Mike, "Louis cut the call immediately.

Henry hissed, as he saw the cops drive in and Louis following behind with his truck and the security team van.

"Have they tracked the number now?" Louis asked, joining Henry was fuming.

"Yeah, they are going to Land Bridge, that's why the hideout is but they don't want me following them. I'm going nonetheless, this is my son, we are talking about!"

"Let's go then, " Louis replied, signalling the guards and cops to follow them.

The drive was a shaky one with Louis cursing under his breath about Jake's ruthlessness. Henry was quiet all through the ride, thinking only of how to crush his stepmother and Jake. He glanced at his phone and was glad to realise he had spent more than the red flag for today after paying for the Aruto companies. He quickly sent more money to Don Aruto to take care of the debts he owed the Violas.

"That's Jake's car. He's around. The idiot!" Henry huffed, as they entered the building.

Louis nodded as they checked the rooms, looking for any sign of life. As they were about to check another room, they had a childlike cry and immediately, Henry paused. That was Mike! What were to him?

Quickly, they rushed to where the sound was coming from, two cops following behind them.

"Exactly what I was expecting from you, Jake. You are a child bully, aren't you?" Henry yelled coldly as they entered the room. Mike was on the floor, tied to the bunk and Evelyne was sitting filing her nails. His stepmother and Maple Rose weren't there but Jerry was.

"Glad, you could join us, brother and you brought company, Mr Louis. Anyway, are you leaving the country or do you want us to deal badly with the deaf boy?" Jake asked, laughing and watching Henry with hate.

" You are just stupid, Jake and why would I want to do that? I still have my inheritance to claim from you rotten eggs and until I'm done, I'm not going anywhere neither is Mike. Now, release that little child and let him go!"

Jerry chuckled, " Inheritance? Dad didn't leave anything for you or your dead sister! Maybe you would like to join her and ask, yeah?"

"Don't you talk about my sister that way, fool!" Henry yelled, staring coldly at Jerry. "She's ten times better than that lousy sister you have and better than you too, so keep your rotten mouth shut!"

Jerry's facial expression changed immediately, "Talk all you want, Henry. You aren't getting a dime from us and we know soon, that little wealth you have would get exhausted and you will come begging!"
