Chapter 10 – Creating Drones

Nouel lives in an apartment that has an expensive price. This apartment is intended for people who have a lot of wealth, businessmen who have large finances. Nouel himself is not lacking in money, as a genius and as a special forces officer serving the country, he has a large income, it is only natural that he lives in a residence that has luxurious facilities.

The floor of this apartment is covered with black marble tiles which look very elegant. To the left, there is a living room furnished with a large, comfortable white leather sofa. In the middle of the living room, there is a futuristic coffee table with a holographic display that presents information about the weather, current news, and so on.

Beautiful city views can be seen through the tall glass windows that surround the living area. These glass windows also allow sunlight to enter the room, giving a broad and bright impression.

The master bedroom is at the end of the apartment, with great views of the city from the large windows. Large beds with plush white pillows and duvets and high-tech nightlights with intelligent climate control systems.

The bathroom features a king-size bathtub with intelligent water pressure and temperature control system, and a futuristic glass shower that circulates water quietly and smoothly. In addition, there is also a toilet with an automatic drying and cleaning system.

This apartment is also equipped with advanced facilities such as an integrated security system that can be accessed with a smartphone, a smart air conditioning system, and a programmed lighting system to provide a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere. There is also a private gym room and indoor swimming pool that can be accessed by apartment residents.

Overall, this apartment offers a futuristic, luxurious and very comfortable living experience for its residents.

After arriving at his apartment, Nouel decided to take a shower and rest for a while. Thereafter, he decided to check the equipment to be used tomorrow. Nouel opens a briefcase containing weapons and other tools. He checked every gun and made sure they were in good condition.

After finishing, Nouel sat on the sofa and pondered. He thought about the mission to be carried out

 and hoped that everything will go smoothly.

The next day, Nouel who was practicing shooting in his private room, where the room was designed for practice, Nouel suddenly had the idea to make a support weapon in the form of several small, sophisticated drones.

“That's it, why did it come to mind now?” he muttered. “I can make drones as a support tool. It might be helpful, who knows.”

Nouel decided to implement this idea, he started working on making many small drones with the advanced technology he had. After many hours, the drones were finally completed. A very efficient little drone that can fly very fast. The drone is equipped with cameras, sensors and many other devices that are very useful in military operations.

Nouel enters a room that is quite spacious, and the walls are filled with monitor screens and high-tech equipment. In the middle of the room, there is a special table designed for testing drones.

“Huh, done already.” Nouel breathed a sigh of relief.

“We'll see if everything is as I wish.” Nouel took the five black drones and placed them on the table. After connecting each drone to the central computer, he started the first trial run. The first drone flew successfully and Nouel controlled it easily through the joystick he was holding.

“Not bad, we'll see at the next stage.”

Nouel continued the trial by adjusting the drone's distance and position. He sent a drone to the corner of the room and then picked up a second drone. The second drone is set to follow the first drone, and Nouel tries to control both drones simultaneously.

Within minutes, Nouel managed to control all five drones simultaneously. The drones moved with precision and approached the target according to Nouel's orders.

“What about now?”

Nouel wears his special goggles and sits in a chair specially designed for mentally controlling drones. He activated the device on the goggles and focused his mind on the drone. After a while, the drone started flying, following Nouel's mind commands. Nouel felt happy and started giving several commands such as fly left, fly right, up, and down. The drone moves very responsively and accurately, proving that the mind control system it creates is very effective.

“This is perfect, I thought I would fail on the first try.” Nouel smiled with satisfaction with this drone experiment.

“What about more difficult orders.”

Nouel then gives many more complex commands, such as analyzing an object, distinguishing whether something is threatening or not, and even checking the drone's sensitivity to the environment.

For many hours, Nouel conducted various trials with drones. He tries to control the drone with his mind from different distances and sends different commands. The drone turned out to be very responsive and able to execute every command quickly and accurately.

“Perfect, I should use these drones as my battle support.”

After quite a long time conducting trials, Nouel, who felt that the drone he had created was perfect, he finished the activity.

Imperceptibly, the activities he did to assemble and conduct trials took hours, the time was already eleven o'clock in the evening. Therefore, Nouel immediately went to his room to rest.

The city of Lycaelus entered a period of repair after the world war, at that time the dome was already built. However, government policies that were not approved by the townspeople sparked conflict. It's sad indeed, during the time of rebuilding and starting a new life, crises, and conflicts still occur.

The city looks very chaotic and messy. Trees fell, buildings were damaged, and black smoke billowed into the air. The atmosphere in the city was so tense, screams, explosions, and gunshots were heard everywhere. Several vehicles overturned and caught fire on the road, while panicked people ran for shelter. Security forces tried to calm the situation and control the rioting, but they seemed to be overwhelmed.

On one street corner, two youths were seen in the middle of a riot. One of them was lying on the road in a state of body covered in blood, already lifeless. The young man who was still alive, who was confirmed to be Nouel looked very panicked and didn't know what to do. He grabbed his lifeless friend's hand and tried to pull him to a safer place, but couldn't do it because many people were running towards them.

All around were people destroying buildings and attacking security guards with various objects. Tear gas and rubber bullets were fired by security forces to control the rioting, but apparently had little effect. The atmosphere was getting more and more tense, and it seemed difficult to find a safe place to hide.

The young man who was still alive kept screaming for help while crying to see his lifeless friend. However, no one paid any heed to it because everyone was too focused on the riot that was going on. The situation was getting more and more chaotic and out of control, making people even more scared and panicked.

Nouel looked sadly at the face of his best friend, who closed his eyes, died in pain. The face of the good young man who was covered in blood was immediately clear in Nouel's memory.
