“Big talk,” Mr. Jones snapped. “Fine. Show me who this lunatic is. I want to see who dares run wild on my turf.”

Henry could barely contain his excitement. He led Mr. Jones and the bodyguards straight over to Sixt.

“There! That’s him! And just a minute ago, he said if your hotel stuck its nose into his business, he’d tear the whole place down.”

Mr. Jones’s hand rose, ready to deliver a slap, until he caught sight of the woman standing next to Sixt.

She looked quite familiar.

“May I ask who are you, miss-?”

Mr. Jones asked cautiously. After all, anyone who struck him as even vaguely familiar was rarely simple.

“I’m Sabrina Zane,” she replied coldly.

The moment the name left her lips, both Henry and Fiona visibly shuddered.

Henry’s knees buckled again, he nearly dropped to the floor. She was from the Zane family?

Everyone in the city knew how wealthy and terrifying Zane family was.

And now, they had somehow managed to offend someone from such a powerful clan! But why would someone from the Zane family be protecting Sixt?

Henry was too frightened to move.

Upon hearing her name, a chill ran down Mr. Jones’s spine. His mind raced.

“Miss Sabrina, what brings you to Gate Group today?” he asked, managing a polite tone.

The Zane family no longer owned the hotel, and Mr. Jones had just received official confirmation that very morning.

Knowing that, he wasn’t particularly intimidated by Sabrina’s presence.

“You’re not to lay a finger on this man. He’s under my protection,” Sabrina said curtly, uninterested in small talk.

“Miss Sabrina, I believe there’s been a misunderstanding,” Jones replied coolly. “This man broke the rules of our hotel. Naturally, there must be consequences. Otherwise, how could Gate Group maintain its reputation? Besides, we’re no longer under the Zane family’s authority. I don’t believe this is your concern anymore.”

He let out a scornful laugh. He wasn’t afraid of some spoiled heiress raised in a greenhouse.

“So, what you’re saying is you no longer respect the Zane family?” Sabrina snapped, her anger flaring.

“I wouldn’t dare,” Jones replied, standing his ground. “But we have our principles. And we need to answer for our new true master here today.”

At his signal, dozens of bodyguards closed in around Sabrina and Sixt.

In the back, Henry saw Jones holding his ground and not bowing to the Zane heiress. His confidence returned, and he even stood up straighter.

“Mr. Jones, hurry up and teach that Sixt a lesson! So what if she’s from the Zane family? That doesn’t mean they can act above the law!”

As the bodyguards encircled them with menacing glares, Sabrina quickly whispered to Sixt, “You should run. There’s too many of them, you can’t fight them all.”

Sixt chuckled. “What’s there to be afraid of? Even if it comes to a fight, I’m not scared. But we won’t need to draw swords today.”

He walked toward Jones, calm and unhurried.

“Are you sure you want to beat me, huh?”

Jones bristled at Sixt’s arrogance. Furious that this man dared to look down on him, he raised his hand to slap Sixt across the face.

But in the next instant, he froze.

Sixt looked familiar.

Where had he seen that face before?

Frantically, Jones pulled out a photo of his new boss and his true young master.

No way...

His face went pale.

The man Henry had told him to teach a lesson... was the very same man Jones had been trying to win over, their new boss.

Thank God he hadn’t made a move yet. Otherwise, he’d be out of a job before the day was over.

Mr. Jones froze. Then slowly, his hand lowered, trembling slightly.

Henry, confused by the silence, nudged him. “Mr. Jones? What are you waiting for? Just hit—”

The slap came, but it wasn’t aimed at Sixt.

It landed squarely across Henry’s face.

“You idiot!” Mr. Jones roared. “Get on your knees and apologize!”

Henry stood frozen, completely dumbfounded.

“Wait, Mr. Jones! You’ve got it all wrong! It was Sixt, he hit me! Look, my right hand. He broke it!” he shouted, raising his swollen hand like some kind of proof of innocence.

But Mr. Jones wasn’t having any of it.

“You little bastard! Are you trying to drag me into this mess?!” he snarled, his face twisted with fury. Then, without warning, he raised his other hand and—

Slap!

A second blow landed square across Henry’s face.

Henry staggered, blinking in shock.

“Mr. Jones, what are you, what are you doing?” he stammered, clutching his stinging cheek. The first slap, he thought, had to be a mistake. But the second? That one confirmed the truth: this wasn’t some accident. Jones was hitting him on purpose.

His face burned, both from pain and disbelief. Horror crept into his eyes as he turned to Fiona for help, but she was as stiff as a statue, lips clamped shut. She didn’t dare speak, didn’t even move. Stopping Mr. Jones? Questioning his actions? Not a chance.

Henry’s gaze darted between Mr. Jones and Sixt, searching for answers, some kind of explanation. After all, Jones had been on his side just moments ago.

What the hell had changed?

“I’ll deal with you later for the mess you’ve made today,” Mr. Jones snapped, his voice cold as steel. There was no trace of the deference he’d shown earlier, only contempt.

Henry’s mouth hung open, a thousand thoughts crashing into each other, none of them making sense. All he could do was stare helplessly at Sixt, who now stood a few steps away with his hands casually tucked into his pockets, a faint smirk playing on his lips.

Sixt gave a light chuckle, his tone calm, almost amused.

“Didn’t you say earlier that people like you just need to make one call to ruin someone’s life? So... is this what you meant?”

Henry opened his mouth again, but no words came. His brain had simply shut down.

Without another glance at the humiliated pair, Sixt and Sabrina turned and walked toward the hotel, brushing off the entire scene like dust on their shoulders.

Manager Jones, panic creeping into his steps, quickly followed after them.

And just like that, the parking lot fell silent once more, leaving only Henry and Fiona standing awkwardly in the wake of what had just happened.

Fiona quickly rushed to Henry’s side, grabbing his arm to steady him. Her voice trembled with concern.

“What just happened? Why would Mr. Jones suddenly side with Sixt? Is… is that guy someone important?”

Henry’s face was still burning with humiliation, but her question snapped him out of his daze.

“Important? Him?” he spat, scowling. “No way.”

He straightened his back, forcing down his shame.

“My guess? The hotel’s new owner is arriving soon. That useless manager must’ve gotten cold feet and didn’t want any trouble before the new boss shows up. Typical coward, ditched us the moment things got tense.”

Fiona clenched her fists, her jaw tight with fury.

“That little punk got lucky this time. But sooner or later,” she hissed, “I’ll make that bastard Sixt kneel and lick the dirt off my shoes.”

Meanwhile, Sabrina had no interest in wasting another second on the manager who had dared to offend her. After a brief exchange with Sixt, she turned sharply on her heel and headed off to her own company, her stride confident and composed.

Sixt watched her go for a moment, then picked up his pace, leaving the flustered manager scrambling behind him.

He strolled through the hotel halls, letting his eyes wander over the polished marble floors and extravagant chandeliers. Every corner screamed money and status. The architecture was impressive, even he had to admit that.

But just as he was passing by one of the presidential suites, he froze.

A muffled cry. A woman’s voice, sharp, strained, leaked out from behind the heavy wooden door. It wasn’t just conversation. It was the sound of someone struggling.

Slowly, Sixt felt all eyes on him. He narrowed his eyes at Larry, looking down at the pictures. ‘You bastard.’ He thought. He obviously never visited the hospital at night. And those clothes, it belonged to Larry and not him! This obviously looked forged! Even if he tries to defend himself, the hate look he was already getting was enough reason to know that these people wouldn't even believe him! Larry must have planned this! He must have gotten everything done before coming here, and now the pictures looked so real, enough to prove to Mr. Fin that Sixt was indeed the killer! He can't wait for him to find out that he's the Mr. Fin he was eagerly waiting to see! And he just threw himself under the bus by adding Sixt's head to his photoshopped picture, when in reality, Larry was the one walking out of the hospital, dressed in a gray joggers and black sweatshirt.“It is true!” “A murderer is in our midst!” Two people shouted, their voices filled with fear.“You piece of garbage!” Mr

“It's you… I remember you now…” Cooper uttered as he got to see Sixt's face clearly. Though his old age came with a short term memory, one couldn't completely forget the man who helped him so easily. “You were with old Zane. You were the one who saved my life years ago.” After a brief silence, Sixt nods calmly. “I remember I paid you. I paid you greatly. I can't remember the amount, but I know it was up to a million.” The man's wrinkled face caught Emilia's attention. She was tempted to ask if it was true Sixt collected something that huge to treat an old man.“I didn't force you. You willingly gave it to me.” Sixt narrowed his eyes. Even while he never touched that money, he didn't see the use to bring that up.“There's no point in digging the pass up. You're looking at the wrong man if you need help with Mr. Fin.” Sixt said sternly.Mr. Cooper could barely speak, as it dawned on him that he was going to be doomed for life! “Don't get on your knees for this loser! He's nothing but

Hearing that, Larry's head buzzed. He immediately felt tongue-tied as he took a few glances at his body. “I thought we were friends, Sixt?” Sabrina showed up with a faint smile. She turned to Emilia, then to Sixt, “I guess we are even now, you've gotten your revenge but what what cost? Taking a property I desire just to spite me.”“What are you implying?” Sixt asked.“Larry is right, but was using Ms. Emilia's money to get back at us really necessary? Anyway, congratulations.”Sixt studied her for a second, “You think the money was paid by The Rodriguez?” “I don't think. I know. You've gotten the influence from her but for how long? Real men, stand up for themselves…” “I don't owe you an explanation.” Sixt frowned. “Lean on her money while you can. Let's see how high it will take you.” Sabrina said with a note of finality before exiting the place.Sixt could sense the pain in every word she threw at him. He never knew she needed this so badly. He had never seen her so hurt. Like h

In less than two hours, the fundraising was completed. Dressed in a black suit, the host spoke through the mic, announcing donations to the people.“2 million from the Kelvin family! Myles Resources, 3.6 million! Montenegro family, 5 million!” He started with the lowest amount, and gradually, he called out the names of the family with the biggest amount in donation. The host paused, his eyes glaring at the crowd. He looked down at his file with a cocky face before clearing his throat, “The Rodriguez family, 20 million!” The crowd erupted in applause, turning their gaze to the Rodriguez table with a stunted gaze. They gave the young lady a look of admiration. This was too good to be true! 20 million was lost to the kids of this orphanage. She must really have a kind heart. They looked at her like a queen, clapping and cheering her on! No one could beat this! No one stood a chance against such a huge amount! “And the last on my list is Ms. Sabrina, from Zane Group! With the sum of 2

Sabrina smiles faintly, “Thank you. Excuse me.” She said before leaving them to themselves. It was obvious she was intruding in whatever they had going on… it almost seemed like she was trying to be protective of him. From who? Her?“You're not uncomfortable with what I just did, are you?” Emilia asked innocently, heaving a deep breath as Sabrina walked away.Sixt shook his head, “Of course not. In fact, I know you meant well.” He saw what she was trying to do.Sixt only had the opportunity of seeing her twice. First was when he helped with her flat tire, second was when he walked out of the conference hall days ago. After seeing him on the front page of Europe's daily news, something about Sixt sparked her interest. They became close, and coincidentally, they were both invited to this fundraising. And of course, she didn't forget that he was favoured by the almighty Mr Fin… she guess his influence must have given Sixt this privilege!“The host is here,” Then slowly, everyone took t

“How dare that bastard?” Dustin frowned, spacing the room with so much bitterness and pain. This was too much for him. His father just told him how much their family's new worth was reduced due to some unforeseen circumstances. Never in his wildest dreams did he think working with Larry and Sabrina would bring this much damage to his father's business. He wasn't sure if last night's scandal was the reason for this, but could there be other reasons? This had never happened before! Could that bastard have gotten Mr. Fin to toy with him? No… he can't… Sixt was still standing next to hmm when he got that message!Just then, the door pushed open and the moment Mr. Jackson himself walked in, he landed Dustin a resounding slap.“You good-for-nothing idiot!” He scolded harshly. Not caring that Dustin was in the midst of his friends.“Get out of my house this instant! I knew you were going to cause some damage when I saw those reporters!” He shouted, his eyes burning with a cold gaze. “The r
