Sixt immediately felt that familiar surge of heat rise within his body again. Guiding the power carefully, he channeled it straight toward Sabrina’s heart.

Tiny beads of sweat appeared on his forehead. The hollow in Sabrina’s heart was quite large, it quickly devoured all the energy Sixt could pour into it.

Zane stood nervously to the side, not daring to even breathe too loudly.

Before long, Sabrina regained consciousness. She blinked in confusion, clearly disoriented and unsure of what had just happened.

And then, she realized, Sixt was leaning over her, his hands pressed against her chest!

Seeing her awake, Sixt gave a weak smile. “You’re finally awake…”

Zane was overwhelmed with joy. Sixt had healed his granddaughter’s condition just by laying hands on her! This was nothing short of divine healing!

But what happened next left him utterly stunned.

With a sharp smack, Sabrina slapped Sixt across the face!

Sixt, drained from transferring so much of his energy, was far too weak to dodge. He took the full force of the slap, and his face immediately swelled up.

“You pervert! How dare you touch me!” Sabrina screamed, leaping up from the bed and rushing at Sixt, ready to land another blow.

Zane quickly jumped in front of her to shield Sixt. “Calm down, little girl, calm down!”

Sixt, still clutching his now swollen cheek, gave a helpless, bitter smile.

“Grandpa! How could you protect this pervert?!” Sabrina cried furiously. “You saw it with your own eyes! His hands were all over my chest! Move aside, I’m going to beat this bastard to death!”

Her face flushed with both shame and anger. If this scene ever got out, who knew what kind of scandal it would cause?

She was one of the city's most celebrated beauties, the goddess countless men dreamed of, and now she had been humiliated by some wild man no one even knew!

How could she face others ever again?

Sixt didn’t argue. He didn’t try to defend himself. Instead, he asked calmly, “Does your chest still hurt?”

Sabrina paused, staring down at herself in confusion.

“Does it feel any better now?” Sixt added.

It was as if a fog lifted from her mind. Sabrina suddenly remembered, she had collapsed earlier from severe chest pain.

She quickly placed her hand over her chest, only to realize the intense pain that had made her unable to even sit up was completely gone. There wasn’t even the slightest discomfort when she breathed!

Shocked, she turned her wide eyes toward Sixt.

Zane tried to smooth things over. “Alright, alright, you hot-headed girl… Sixt really did heal you. That's why you woke up. Sixt, our whole family owes you a great debt. Sabrina, hurry up and thank him!”

Sixt quickly waved his hand. “No need, really. It was nothing.”

He didn’t dare get any closer anyway. That slap of hers still stung fiercely.

Sabrina stared at him, wide-eyed.

He… was treating her? He actually cured a condition that so many doctors had failed to even diagnose properly?

She wanted to believe it was all nonsense, but the lightness she now felt in her chest was undeniable. She had never felt better.

Maybe he wasn’t a fraud after all?

Her face turned crimson. Proud and stubborn, she tried to force herself to thank him, but no words came out.

Stomping her foot in frustration, Sabrina spun around and ran out the door.

Watching her flee, Zane sighed and patted Sixt on the shoulder.

“I’m sorry, lad. My granddaughter’s got too much pride. But I know her. Deep down, she’s truly grateful. Why don't you rest here for the night? You must be exhausted.”

Sixt nodded. After Zane left, he quickly drifted off into a deep sleep.

He was exhausted.

The next morning…

Knock!

Sixt opened his eyes upon hearing the knock on the door. He looked around but there was no sign of Sabrina anywhere.

He reached for the door handle and as he opened the door, his gaze fell on a maid.

“Good morning, sir. Just here to let you know that Master Zane would love to talk to you in the living room.” The maid tells him.
