“Oh, is that so?” Nolan asked, raising his eyebrows as he looked at Savannah closely.

“Of course I am,” Savannah replied without hesitation.

“Are you sure you won’t regret marrying me?” Nolan asked again, his tone calm but probing her further.

“Regret?” Savannah shook her head. “I’ll never regret marrying you. I really want to, and I’m sure of my decision. I’m very sincere about it.”

“Alright then,” Nolan replied simply.

“What…?” Savannah froze. “Just like that? You’re serious about it? You’ve accepted?” she asked in shock as she stared at Nolan. She hadn’t expected that at all. She had prepared herself for rejection, just like the last time. She was certain he would turn her down again, but he didn’t, and that caught her completely off guard.

“In fact,” Nolan continued calmly, “I want us to have the wedding tomorrow. Tomorrow would be perfect for the wedding, wouldn’t it? It’s a weekend. Don’t you think it’s perfect?” he said with a smile on his face.

This time, Savannah’s mum was t

Mr. Shawn chuckled darkly. “I’ll explain it to you in simple words. Since you just said you don’t have any money, I’ll have to take your daughter with me to pay for it. She’ll use her body to get my money back for me, and God knows I’ll be in crazy profit by the time I’m done using her.”Katty’s dad couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He didn’t even want to believe it. His ears rang as his mind refused to accept those words.“My daughter is still a child, please,” he cried out desperately. “You can’t do this to her. Please. You can’t be human and still do this to her. Please.”He begged with tears in his eyes, his body shaking as fear and helplessness consumed him completely.“It’s only right that you pay what you owe,” Mr. Shawn said coldly. “If you can’t find me my money, then I have to get it in another way. You should be thanking me that I found another option for you instead of killing you off.”“Don’t even think about it!” Katty’s dad yelled angrily as he struggled to stand pr

The moment Katty’s dad stepped out and saw the man standing there, his eyes widened in shock. His face changed instantly, but he quickly tried to cover it up with a deep frown.“Mr. Shawn,” he said slowly. “How… how did you get here? I hope everything is okay.”He tried his best to keep his voice leveled, even though fear was creeping into his chest.Mr. Shawn scoffed loudly. “Are you really asking me that?” he said angrily. “After you ruined my business and cost me so much money, you’re standing here asking me if everything is okay, Mr. Parker? You really expect me to just forget it like that?”“I… I… I…” Mr. Parker stammered, his words failing him. He didn’t know what to say because he knew exactly what Mr. Shawn was talking about.Mr. Parker had worked at the seaport. His job was to carry cargo of goods to and fro for Mr. Shawn. That was how he earned his living back then. But something terrible happened one day. The ship he was working on capsized in the sea, and a lot of goods w

Nolan told her that he had no problem at all. In fact, he was relieved that she could find someone else to handle the delivery. He felt like Elizabeth leaving work just to deliver a cake would be too stressful, and he didn’t want to put that burden on her.He quickly sent her the location of Katty’s house, and once that was done, he focused fully on getting to Katty’s party on time.At Katty’s house, everything had already been decorated for her birthday party. The decorations were bright and colorful, and it was obvious that a lot of effort had been put into it. However, nobody had turned up yet because of how far the house was.Gabriel’s parents had built their house in an area that was still developing, which made it very far from where most of Katty’s friends lived. Because the area was still under development, there weren’t many houses around. There were mostly barren lands everywhere, with wide empty spaces and unfinished roads. This was because Gabriel’s father had received the

Nolan, on the other hand, wasn’t ready to tell his aunt anything again. He chose to lie to her once more because Savannah was clearly not the kind of person he wanted to marry into their family. He didn’t see a future with her anymore, and he didn’t want his aunt getting her hopes up over someone who didn’t deserve it.The rest of the day passed with Nolan’s aunt trying different ways to find out what truly happened. She asked questions casually, then seriously, then indirectly, but Nolan didn’t give her any answer that satisfied her. In the end, she got tired of pushing and decided to keep quiet, even though it was obvious that she was still very curious.Nolan decided to spend the rest of the day at home. It felt strange sleeping in the house again after getting used to a luxury apartment. Everything here was smaller, older, and quieter. Still, he didn’t mind it that much. It wasn’t all that bad. The bed was comfortable, and that was all that mattered to him.The next morning, Nolan

Savannah’s mum grabbed Savannah’s hand tightly and was about to leave Nolan’s house when Quavo suddenly stepped in front of them, blocking their way with a deep frown on his face.“And where the hell do you think you’re going?” Quavo asked angrily, sneering at the both of them.“Haven’t you been listening to anything I’ve been saying?” he continued, his voice cold and threatening. “I’ve been looking for a way to get Nolan to pay for his debt, and the both of you are very much perfect for that. I’m going to make sure I sell you for a very good price, and hopefully I’ll get my money back and even more.”He looked Savannah’s mum up and down slowly, his eyes dark. “I might not be able to sell you much because you’re very old, but that doesn’t mean your organs wouldn’t be useful. I would take every single part of your body and sell them.”Savannah’s mum broke down immediately. “Please… please, we don’t know him from anywhere,” she cried out desperately. “We don’t know Nolan at all. We didn

“Wait, let me just ask you these questions. So the car that’s outside right now… who actually owns it?” Savannah asked, her voice trembling slightly with disbelief, her eyes fixed on Nolan.Nolan looked at Quavo briefly, then back at Savannah. “It belongs to him,” he said, bowing his head slightly in fake shame. Savannah’s mum’s eyes widened as she took a step closer. “So… the apartment that Savannah and her friends all saw you in the last time too… that doesn’t belong to you?”Nolan shook his head. “It doesn’t. I was just there to clean,” he replied simply, not giving them any excuse or trying to lie further. Savannah’s hands tightened into fists, her knuckles white with anget “So… you don’t have anything in your name? Nothing at all?” she asked again, disbelief turning into anger as she tried to process what she was hearing.“You didn’t ask if there was anything in my name in the first place,” Nolan said, his voice calm but firm. “And to be honest, I didn’t see any reason to tell
